  1. It sure is better to develop your better athletes to pitch so that a fellow does not have to pitch all the time. Last year BC put a good outfielder, Jason Clark, in and he really aced Needville deep in the bracket play. Fact is, two good outfielders--Jason Clark and Jadon Dillon got the win against a stubborn OF last night. Clark was the WP and did a good job in his second defensive position. I would think Jasper will be working to develop some additional pitching in order to climb the bracket play. Folks get pretty burned down when the temperature climbs into the 90s in late spring. I have confidence that the Jasper team will bounce back after this crucial loss.
  2. Wonder what the longest District winning streak in Texas is in each classification?
  3. BC still has room to get even much better as the season goes on. These young athletes are hitter better each week. There are frequent long ball hitters in every spot on the team. BC is very deep in quality pitching and it will show in the bracket climb. they are definately the #1 team.
  4. This looks like it was put together by folks from Region IV.....BC & Jasper would run-rule Medina Vally and Sinton at this time of year! LOL
  5. I would think Jason Clark will get the nod against OF. BC needs him also as a regular; his ace performance deep in the playoffs on the mound last year allowed for the BC pitching team to get a much needed rest at that crucial point in time. Boy did he have a great offense and defensive ball game against the Bulldogs! It may be a lower scoring game for both--OF has a good Pitcher for BC to face.
  6. This was a big deal ballgame! To win 21-3A is a paramount experience for any team, good chance both of these teams have accomplished it in the last two years. This is almost a fairy tale story when a team comes back from a 5-0 score in the first quarter to rally and win. This feat will be used for an example as the years go by: to point out what "staying focused" is all about. Jadon Dillon had quite a week, the Senior stepped in a somewhat alien position to pitch a win over Silsbee Tuesday and then settled in to make astounding catches from his home-- out in left field last night.
  7. I think the only edge was that Hicks got 10 strikeouts to Jasper's 8. Good game! Both teams of course will have to be consistent in the playoffs to be fortunate to meet again at Regional Final. Another great performance by both teams. Again I say, #1 Bridge City #2 Jasper in 3A Poll. Here is my copy/paste #15 on this thread, I hit this one on the head LOL......."BC in a close game as usual. A long ball will win the game."
  8. Regardless of this outcome; these teams will probably end up playing for the Regional Championship. I don't see anyone out there to hamper their climbs up the bracket ladder.
  9. BC in a close game as usual. A long ball will win the game.
  10. A big strong congrats to Jadon Dillon the fielder that pitched a good game for BC tonight. When a guy gets pitching lessons in the summer so that he can be available to pitch for his team and give them depth--I say hats off! That leaves Matt Hicks and Jason Clark and others available to face a tough-as-nails-Jasper at Jasper, Friday night. This will be the game of the week in 3A Texas baseball.
  11. I still think BC is #1 and Jasper is #2.......
  12. BC has a number of players that if on a weaker team would standout as premium. One of these getting no statewide recognition is Joe Robinson--this fellow is steady, steady, steady. He is the kind that has proven he can lead a team deep into the playoffs.
  13. You know, Looking at the big picture, this 21-3A is very superior to other 3A Districts across the state. Most of the teams represented would win Districts all over the state of Texas. We are fortunate to be able to go and see premium HS games all through the season.
  14. Another group of HRs by the top area 3A teams. BC has 9 or so folks averaging a little over 2 HRs this year. Can someone give stats on the other 21-3A and other 3A teams.....
  15. That Jasper squad is such an explosive team; on a given night they can beat anyone. Silsbee is not that bad a team as this score indicates. HR hitters can really make a difference.
  16. Another poll for 3A 1. Bridge City 2. Jasper 3. Hutto 4. Kennedale 5. Medina Valley 6. Silsbee 7. Sinton 8. Snyder 9. Spring Hill 10. Prosper
  17. Jadon Dillon is on course for being an All-Stater with his superb Pitching and Hitting for this year.
  18. Jadon Dillon will be a premier Pitcher by seasons end. These Cards will go into the playoffs as the #1 State team. Nearly all are long-ball hitters and a big array of finished Pitchers who can match up with about anyone in 3A.
  19. Are there any upgrades on these Polls? I would think it should be #1 Bridge City and #2 Jasper at this point in time!
  20. I watched this game as OF's SS Emily Ratcliff and 2nd base Natalie LaVerne were just making great plays one after the other. OF's #2 Pitcher delivered a lot of strikes that H-F hit as grounders to the OF infield. I tell you what, that OF infield played a solid ballgame today. OF is an up-and-coming program that is gaining respect!
  21. At this moment in time, Bridge City may well the the best 3A in the state. Have they put up the DFW 3A polls yet?
  22. Casey Jackson got three more in the last week or so.....how many does that make? I would be nice if someone would list the top 10 or 15 at present and update the changes each week. That would be interesting stats to follow.
  23. Excellent! This thing is up to 536 reads.......While we are here, how did the BC team fare at the state meet?
  24. You know at the last of the season these teams were #1 Jasper & #2 Bridge City for the whole state. Seeing this game tonight I believe they are reversed for this season #1 BC #2 Jasper. Congrats to both teams you are the two best in 3A, in my opinion.
