This was an extra large Tourney with three courts occupied at all times for three whole days. All the schools there were 4A & 5A with the exception of 3A Sweeny, 3A Bridge City, and 2A Danbury. BC had trouble with all those schools that were loaded with year-round Club players.... Results for the Cardinal were: Win 2-1 over 4A Texas City Win 2-0 over 5A Pasadena Lost 2-0 to 4A Rockwall Lost 2-0 to 5A Pasadena Memorial Lost 2-0 to 4A Huntsville Looked like good practice to prepare for upcoming District games. Would some PNG(only other SE TX team participating)fans please post the results of their scores during the Tourney..... I watched PNG beat a very good Rockwall team; but would like to see all the other scores on their games..Thank You

21-3a How do they look this year???
East TX replied to softballfan5's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
Good info on H-J. I am glad they will be in the middle of the frenzy, to win the 21-3A Championship. -
BC and the Kirbyville Wildcats were quite enjoyable sets. Kirbyville has an extremely good athlete in #12; she handled BC well in the first two sets helping to win each of these sets by two points each. After a few adjustments BC came back to win all of the last three sets playing a sound strategy. Kirbyville is picked to win their 3A District.

#34 is quite a receiver for a Uth of that age also! -
Is there a Region III set of ratings?
-
Real close, BC wins 4th set 26-24 This was a great outing for both teams, good practice for getting ready for District play.

To AAW: Is it pin-worms that make you act like that? lol LCM is in a rebuilding mode....I saw them play BC in a scrimmage and they will not win the 4A District. Hope I don't give you a heart attack, maybe someone would miss you.
-
To Rizon: Sorry, I was told by a PNG fan that they had won the District and also a local sportswriter had recently projected PNG to win this year. That what you get when you don't check things out for your self.
-
The PNG last years 4A District Champs and projected Champs this season took out BC 3-1 tonight. PNG has the best HS Setter I have seen in the last 4 years. They are a complete team. BC did very well at times against the high-end enrollment unit of quality players. Hopefully a tough opponent schedule will prepare them for 21-3A ball.

You have been boring to a lot of folks for a long time. This nice person was just being kind enough to give you a heads-up.

HJ vs. Huffman-Hargrave predictions
East TX replied to HJfan2's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
Huffman is the largest enrollment in Region III for 3A. With so many kids to choose from they are fairly hard to beat in any sport! -
I heard he is called the "King of Caney Head" LOL Actually I looked over the other teams and Silsbee should have been the best out of that group...
-
A good sound District! Huffman will lead a good challenge for the District championship. I watched them last year and their front line play was exemplary, but their back line could not hold strong all the way. They could do well in the playoffs this season.
-
Yep, they dominated all last year also LOL But don't give up! :)

Any word on how the PN-G, Barbers Hill & Bridge City warm-up went this morning? Any word on all the other warm-ups this morning?
