1. Ok the Angleton D line dominated- that Montgomery RB ran for 163 yds all on sheer will alone, he is not Leroy Dobbins or Quandre Diggs talent. I saw some of the holes he ran thru. I just hope your coach does not believe what ya'll are saying. Angelton D made some good plays yes, but Montgomery offense moved the ball by rushing it-the stats say it also. Thats what opened up the few good passing plays we had. Better teams will expose your run D. Also the biggest gift of the game was given before half on the fumble to the 2 yd line, easy TD. They should have ran out the clock been happy to be tied. Good luck to Angleton going forward.
2. I'm going to be at the game next week at Navasota rooting for you guys. Someone needs to tell the D to be prepared for throws, that Navasota QB averages 300 plus yards 3 plus TD's throwing. Prepared to see you guys put a stop to that high powered offense. Good Luck. Navasota going to be a tuff game.... Go Trojans.
3. When new schools appear, some schools lose good players by zoning or by choice- my word choice of stealing was being sarcastic...
4. Never seen Brenham not regroup and come back to have a winning year. Don't expect anything different this year.
5. Great job Pirates- look like you guys have started where you left off, with a very good and well coached team.
6. Young Mongtomery team played Angleton tough running the ball and controlling the Angleton D-line. Two costly turnovers-one before half on their own 15 yd on a shotgun snap? and one at the end (4th) trying to score from the Angleton 10. What we learned- Montgomery O-line and RB Linton look like they are going to have a good year. Montgomery D is small but tackles good, but got exposed on misdirection plays and quick passes to the wideouts at CB. Proud overall of Montgomery and how they played, I defintely underestimated them. Angleton better cleanup the penaltys and turnovers. The D-line got pushed around by a young and inexperienced O-line. Lots of cramping and injuries. Don't see the typical Angleton speed from years past. They have a good WR#9 and fast RB#23 but I don't see this team going that far without much improvement. But hey its early so lots of games to go. Rosenberg Terry and Pearland Dawson will be licking their chops after watching this game film. Good luck to Angleton this year. Here's the boxscore- [Hidden Content]
7. Yes they where 5-A but Some Creek Kingwood Park are stealing away part of there players now....
8.

I also heard bh will be renamed east baytown high.
Well, I heard it would be either West Chambers High School or West Chambers/South Liberty High School.  The mascot for the first would be the "Buc-Eagles" and in the second case would be the "Pan-Eagles."  The prefixes are there to give them some solid identification. ;D
Why not Buc-ee's with a Beaver Mascot?
9. Angleton at Montgomery - Big test for a very young Bear team....
10. My suprise is not a local one but a big game early in state 5A. I see The Woodlands beating Dallas Skyline up in Dallas tonight. Skyline has been getting beat in scrimmages and rated real high with a bunch of D1 players, plus Woodlands had them beat in playoffs last year and choked in the 4th Qtr.
11. Is Huntsville looking that good or is Humble just playing that bad?
12. Whats up with La Marque-Ball game on TV being sponsored by Churchs Chicken replay- seems alittle sterotyped there :o
13. You're just green with envy BF........
14. Crosby turnovers cost them at least 2 to 3 games last year and defense formations
15. Navasota outscored Sealy 6 tds-0 and Montgomery 6tds-0 in their 2 scrimmages.  ;)
16. Looks like we agree there on the picks BF- sounds like fun trying to pick district season out. This year is a crapshoot...
17. I hope your right wildcat- but we lost a ton to graduation and sometimes the talent just isn't there. Bolfing is a good coach but way too young and inexperienced. There is also some kids coming but a think we are a few years away.
18. Dang that hurts Fox was a good kicker- well the new kicker will be busy....also I agree Fox is a real good baseball player.

20. Ice Cream Boys-21 Foster-14  Growing pains early for the Cubs but they always seem to put it together.
21. Angleton-49 Montgomery-7  Leading the Montgomery offense this game (probably the season) will be their kicker and he will be busy........
22. I'm with you 2 sons- its easy to make a composite way hotter just in your own garage- much less a large company that hands out specific bats.....
23. great job great preview- may all the players/fans and families have safe travel to/during and from their games.
