  1. After the shot, when he crouched behind the bulletproof area by the podium, he was relatively safe. When they stood him up and he paused to put on his shoes, then to shake his fist and speak out, he was extremely vulnerable - especially his head. That's on the agents up close and the plan overall it seems.
  2. He said it publicly. It was said on a call to donors and then spread to the media by his campaign.
  3. I would prefer Burgum (sp?) or Rubio.
  4. Dis someone say "politically motivated lawfare"?
  5. Yeah, but hearing that even that guy condemns the SS's performance is very telling of actually how poorly they did.
  6. From CNN "Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas called the security a "failure" at former President Donald Trump's rally where he was nearly assassinated in Butler, Pennsylvania. Mayorkas says officials are conducting a full review of the situation."
  7. Nope. That's a SETX Sports faux pas. I quoted someone else, and it stuck you on it. Lol.
  8. The ones on the podium were SS. I hope hope when protecting someone like DJT, we could do better than okay. It's easy to armchair quarterback, and I've never been a SS agent, but I really thought it was lacking urgency at the very least. Plus, put the tallest biggest bastards between the target and the shooter. And don't give the target the time to put on his shoes and address the audience. Although I did love it.
  9. You know as well as I do, his silence was intentional to let Biden receive the spotlight to sink himself. It was a smart move, imo.
  10. Why do you think she would? Her boss hasn't.
  11. I did too. More than I can express. I was freakin FIRED UP! I was just referring to the job the SS did getting him out of there. Pretty poor from the safety perspective.
  12. I like Trump. But I said many times and long ago, I wish he could learn how to not be his own worst enemy (namely with his mouth). I even expressed that perhaps a different candidate might be better for electability (not necessarily running the show, just might be easier for some with less fortitude to swallow). Hopefully he'll be elected in less than 4 months from now, and none of the soft-hearted folks will have their feelings hurt ( ...hope you don't think the term "soft-hearted was too vitriolic).
  13. [Hidden Content] Interesting...
  14. If I'm being honest, they didn't seem too impressive. Just because Trump wants to put on his shoes and fist pump doesn't mean they should've left him standing with his big ole head exposed. Trump loves him some Trump, but that could've gotten himself killed. They have to protect him in spite of himself. Not a very clean exit imo.
  15. CB, I think you hear what you want to hear. First of all, what spewing of hatred have I ever defended? I'd like to see it. And don't give me examples of silly name-calling, because that won't fly. "Let's Go Brandon" was started by a news reporter and picked up by the right to make fun of the whole thing. AND... it's freakin hilarious! And when Trump dubbed Elizabeth Warren "Pocahantas", that was the funniest crap in the world. For the record, it doesn't bother me if someone calls Trump "Orange Man" either. While it's not near very clever, it's harmless. If you classify that as vitriolic hatred, then you're a much less hardy person than I give you credit for. And as I said in the post you just quoted, "I said Trump's (attempted) assassin was spurred on by left vitriolic hatred. Had Biden been shot, I may have said the same about his shooter." So try again. The vitriolic hatred comes from both sides. It just so happens that Trump got shot at and Trump supporters died or were injured because of it.
  16. Yeah, and I belong to Weight Watchers. Doesn't mean a thing...
  17. I don't know of one thing in my post claiming "the high ground". I said Trump's (attempted) assassin was spurred on by left vitriolic hatred. Had Biden been shot, I may have said the same about his shooter. And for the record, "hitting back harder" is the difference between the capital murder of a former president and harsh words aimed at a guy that should have never been president. Apples & airplanes. 😎
  18. Just saw a video he made. “My name is Thomas Matthew Crooks. I hate Republicans. I hate Trump…” Definitely not a Republican. Guy’s definitely a whack job though. Spurred on by left vitriolic hatred. He never mentioned hating Biden or any other Democrat though. Hmmm.
  19. Priceless!
  20. Ford, Reagan, GW Bush (car bomb plot), Trump. Sorry it took so long. Had ribs on the pit.
  21. You got your math wrong ole son. I’ll give you a chance to look it up.
  22. We’ll, if I’m thinking correctly, the last four assassination attempts have been on Republican presidents. Kind of makes you wonder doesn’t it?
  23. I’m going to say this as I’m sure many here have at least thought it. I don’t think this is a walk in the park for DJT, the presumptive nominee. He better pick a good running, mate, and he better hope Joe Biden keeps screwing up. This will be closer than we think. For those who have not considered that this race may be close, takeoff the rose colored glasses.
  24. Because the article is without facts proving systemic racism. Go back and read the reply to you that I posted at 11:35 am yesterday, please. Perception is not proof. That's why it would be helpful for you to describe a factual current condition of systemic racism.
  25. Well, I had the guy on the ropes in the conversation, and I went into a feeding frenzy - overplayed my hand a little. Lol. The "Richard" came out in me, and I couldn't (wouldn't) stop...
