Go to Scott, La. Might not make it home in time for supper, but you can eat it on the way! Billy's, The Best Stop or Don's...can't go wrong with any of them. I like Billy's. Their cracklins are freakin good too! And the Cajun Boudin eggroll w/ jack cheese. I'm drooling...
-
Agreed. I forgot about that. And their boudin was off the chain... Gonna miss that boudin.

Pretty good team! Won't make it past Carthage though. I hope the best for them. If they become the DC, maybe they'll get a good 1st round draw and get lucky on the 2nd round. Good luck to them. -
When does the program become the new coaches?

Y'all are right. Depends on your starting point though. I can see a coach needing a 2 season "buffer" if the situation is pretty bad... -
Gotta try it. Thx!

Exactly! You beat me to it... -
Well, the game is over. I've shut down Boreessentials weak sobbings with my superior skills of debate and argumentation , and now Raidergirl2010 has taken to attacking the Lions disc jockey. Lol. I guess this topic is through. So RaiderGirl, start off the thread for the Raiders next game, so we can get on with POing the next group of unsuspecting posters!...

Something I really love is Sausage. Pan sausage, Breakfast sausage links and my ever favorite, smoked "rope" sausage. What's y'all's favorite? I'm mainly talking about the store bought variety, but go ahead and tell us what you like. I really like Harrington's (Medium, Spicy, green onion, creole, you name it...) in Gumbo, on the smoker, in the oven, it's all good!. I love me some Zummo's links too, but never in gumbo - on a grill/smoker or in a skillet. Beasley's is good too! We've got a lot of local smokehouses that put out some good stuff. Surprisingly enough, Market Basket makes a variety of REALLY good sausage! Never really cared for an "Eckrich" style sausage. To each his own... What y'all got?

1.When did I say I was expecting a "blowout"? I expected Lumberton to win by 2+ scores - that was my exact post - they did! I've never said anything about a DC either. Ever. 2. I already posted that I was surprised and that Livingston should not be losing the way they are - they have improved quite a bit; however, I wouldn't say they've stood toe to toe in district. They've come a long way but still have a ways to go. 3. That's a silly argument - woulda coulda shoulda. There were lots of things that Livingston didn't do that, if they had, they would have won the ballgame. They didn't. End of story. Stop making excuses and fix it for next week. That goes for Livingston, Lumberton, Texas A & M, the Dallas Cowboys, (insert any other imperfect team here), etc. Fix it and getter netter down the road. I doubt losing to Livingston would be the call for a new head coach. Unless you think your team is really that horrendous. Because I don't. Maybe you ought to worry about Livingston and their coaching staff instead of pointing fingers in someone else's backyard. 4. I agree. There is light at the end of the tunnel. So quit making excuses for losing and keep getting better. 5. I don't know what you mean that "this may be (Lumberton's) best". But whatever it means, refer to the point in number 3. Stop pointing fingers when you've got as many or more problems in your own backyard. If you had higher expectations of your team other than making it to the game on time on Friday night, you might realize some disappoint too. Problem is, you're happy with a 2-8 season and spreading around excuses as to why you can't get better. Sad... By the way, l did like the use of the word "obtuse" at the start of your harangue. It didn't really apply, but it was a nice way to start your rant of excuses for the Lions and hatred for the Raiders.

You are right. Don’t let your guard down. But I believe Livingston lacks the discipline and coaching to beat a quality team. LC-M by 2+ scores.
-
So if you have low expectations of your team it’s ok to lose every game? Got it. Let me write that down...
-
I agree with GuitarMan. I was surprised. If they had even the slightest bit of discipline and motivation, they would be a helluva lot better off. I’m not talking down to them either. That’s just what I saw on one Friday night. But the record speaks for itself. They’ve got some big tough athletes. No reason they should lose the way they are. Just an observation.
-
Careful. No guarantees all will be healthy in 3 weeks. If they are then it will be a much better game though. It’s tough in small town football. One or two key injuries on a team that may have 30 or less players can be devastating. Each week can be a new story. I know we all like to huff and puff and brag on our hometown teams, but every Friday brings new challenges especially as the season goes on. LC-M & Lumberton both have a chance at winning the regular season finale game. Just depends on what happens between now and then.
-
But they beat y’all. What does that say about Livingston?
-
Amen on that.

Do you remember Shakey's pizza back in the 70's, I guess? The crust at Brick Oven is very similar if memory serves. As far as the sauce goes, my wife also likes light sauce. I like it a little on the plus side. At Brick Oven, you can get a pizza that has the regular sauce and some Frank's Hot sauce too. Really pretty good flavor. We don't eat there often. We usually get a basic New York style pizza at Napoli's in Lumberton, if not Mellow Mushroom or Crown. Napoli's plain pepperoni is very basic but very good...
