  1. I don’t think anyone made that claim. Possibly jumping in the middle of a thread and puking up some foul garbage to try to be relevant could be considered pure ignorance. Or not...
  2. Hey GB, thanks for that. I appreciate it. Based on overall records, WO-S is at 80% wins, Newton is 65% and PN-G 61% (not much different than Newton). But I really like looking at more than just a record. It’s the list of accomplishments, but just as much, it’s the attitude of the program.
  3. Nope. I actually had kids in school back then. But we did beat Silsbee, Jasper, LC-M, East Chambers, etc. back in the day. We were Ok. Nothing awesome.
  4. Lol. Last years game made me wanna throw up. I think I actually did. If it makes you feel good, I will say that LC-M is at the higher end of mediocre teams. Just under Lumberton. Lol.
  5. Lumberton. Another mediocre school that I love dearly, but also understand that until A LOT of things change, it will be in the same boat as Hamshire Fannett, Bridge City, LC-M, and other mediocre schools of the same cloth. I hope they win every game they play, but I can’t help but be honest about their chances.
  6. That's silly. Newbies are usually silly. So, just cuz I like silly people, I'll give you some knowledge: 1.An hypothesis is a proposed explanation for an observable event, made on the basis of established facts as an introduction to further investigation and is considered to be stronger than a prediction. 2. A prediction is a declaration on what is expected to happen based on some fact and some evidence, but it can also impart a small level of a "gut" feeling usually based on either history or even more recent events. 3. A guess usually implies, "Hey, I just pulled this out of my butt, because I like this and that's how I want it to be." So, while a prediction is a guess to an extent, it is more than that. It's like a guesses big brother and requires a little more thoughtfulness. And an hypothesis is like both of their Dad. I hope this clears it up for you sillygogo1734. Besides, doesn't anybody ever give anyone else a hard time or even a light shove over their predictions (guesses) on this site? Of course they do sillynewbiegogoguessing1734! Relax and have some fun!
  7. I don't agree/disagree with your viewpoint; however, I was replying to LC-M that Little Cypress could not compete with the likes of winners like Newton, WO-S and PN-G. I am not trying to argue the point that PN-G is the same caliber as the other 2 programs (although many will argue that they are). I will say that for a school with a resume like this, they are a winning program (like my post stated): Overall record (approx.): 600-350-33 (not exact) 3 State Championships, 6 State Final appearances, 8 Semifinal appearances, 10 Quarterfinal appearances, 15 Regional, 10 Area, 30 Bi-District appearances (12 of them in the last 16 years in case you want to know about recent accomplishments), 27 District Championships (including the last 4 years 2015-2018 in case you want to know about recent accomplishments). I tried to find the list of LC-M Football accomplishments for a comparison, but I couldn't find any... Can someone please post similar LC-M stats for a comparison?
  8. LMAO! If you're like me, you just can't help yourself!
  9. Why do you think that? Just curious.
  10. You're silly gogo1734. Silly stuff makes me laugh. Please say some more silly, silly things so I can laugh some more. So we all can laugh at (with) you... I love laughing at (with) you.
  11. Well, I am a numbers guy... 11 is approximately 57% more than 7. 57% is more than 1/2 (do you see where I'm going with this?) That is lopsided!... I don't wanna hear that same ole whiny crap about "they suit up more than...blah, blah, blah....vomit". If you need to suit up more kids then that's your school's/community's/coach's/parents'/kids fault. Get more kids to play sports - football in particular. Newton plays about as good a ball as anyone in this area - wouldn't you agree? They beat Silsbee by 3 scores. They beat WO-S. Do you think Newton uses that sickening excuse of being a smaller school or not suiting up as many kids? No! The difference is they refuse to accept mediocrity like LC-M does (among many other programs - not singling LC-M out). Winning is a culture. It's not something that happens by chance. Since this is just a Sub-Varsity thread, I will save my "Winning is a Culture" soliloquy for another time... Meanwhile, please realize that with comments like "11-7...(is) really NOT lopsided..." is proof positive that you're complacent with mediocrity. You're actually trying to say that 11 losses and 7 wins ain't that bad...disgusting. I'm sorry, but it is vulgar in my eyes to accept mediocrity.
  12. Honestly, I wish LC-M varsity could compete with the likes of PN-G. They can’t. A couple years ago I posted about winning programs like Newton, WO-S, PN-G and what they have that makes them winners... Schools like LC-M, Lumberton, Bridge City have never been able to figure out the formula. I’ll bet on The Indians over them Bears every time, and I’ll guarantee you that I’ll come out ahead...
  13. I’m afraid, in this particular case, it does. PN-G sub & Varsity have no problem with the LC-M ranks.
  14. Yep. I’m usually a Pizza “purist”. Sauce, cheese, meat(pepperoni/Italian sausage), mushrooms... but the Yardbird (Bbq Chicken) pizza and the Boudain Pizza are freakin’ awesome at Crown Pizza!
  15. Ruthless... Lol.
  16. Because he didn’t what? Give a responsible prediction? I can agree with that...
  17. If we are using last year as a basis of Lumberton hanging with Silsbee in a low scoring close game, then I have a couple questions: 1. How many Senior football kids graduated from Lumberton last year? (a lot, if you don’t know the answer...no Hooks or Mason on defense and no Cruse on offense either, btw) 2. Are Lumberton corners this year better than our corners last year (when Silsbee was, in your words, throwing jump balls over our corners)? If yes, what do you base that on? 3. If Silsbee’s running attack is better this year, and Silsbee beat Lumberton last year by 3 scores and answers to 1. & 2. above are not favorable towards Lumberton (which they are not), then wouldn’t predicting a low scoring, close game be more of a Hope than a Prediction? I know anything can happen, but if we’re being honest, then how can you not responsibly predict Silsbee by 2+ scores?
  18. I’ve seen Silsbee film. Lots of it. The Train will have all they can handle and then some.
  19. Of course it is. We are less than a week out from the storm. Everybody quit yelling “fire” before the match is lit.
  20. Awwwww...C’mon. The fun’s just gettin started!
  21. What y'all think about Mellow Mushroom Pizza or Crown Pizza in Beaumont?
  22. If you don't mind, what does the bolded part mean? I get #3 (although I don't think you do - I was joking of course), but before you call someone Big Dummy, go back and read your posts... I hope your kids get to school soon. I don't think they're going to get much in the way of schooling at home.
  23. Two headlines with the same message... Nothing like trying to get your point across, I guess.
  24. So, a couple of pieces of advice and commentary to Mr./Ms. Pakronos: 1. When speaking of the importance of education in our children's schools, it may be important to try to check your post (before posting) for grammar, punctuation, capitalization and all around readability. I think it would a little more credence to your post. 2. Since your other thread was locked, there's a good chance your audience, the reader, never got the chance to view your previous words of wisdom and the initial basis for your post in the first place. Perhaps a little background first would help to capture your audience's attention before they give up trying to understand and are left wondering what day it is... 3. What do you mean, " Lets FORGET about the sports...". Sports, namely football, is more important than anything else a student can learn in any classroom! Silly person, you have a lot to learn... P. S. I was thinking of transferring my kids from Kelly to BU. Thoughts???
  25. Silsbee by +17 or more. Lumberton too one dimensional on offense and has small corners...
