  1. You needed some mud. Tough loss.
  2. If you're talkin bout last week and luck, you might pray for rain & a mud pit too! Lol. (Couldn't resist...)
  3. Hell, I even liked his voice. Had a song called "Yesterday, When I Was Young" in the late 60's. Kind of a slow ballad type of song. RIP to a legend.
  4. Good luck to LC-M tonight. Time to represent!
  5. Well, Guess we'll have to call it something other than a "press box" Lol.
  6. So, I guess you could build three Separate 40 x 12 boxes and connect with a covered awning. Voila! No elevator!
  7. Gotta root for our SE Texas teams!
  8. Lol. Sorry. Just trying to shed some light!
  9. Plain fact is the Battlin Bears beat Lumberton.
  10. Whoever put the “word on the street” got they head up their butt.
  11. I can tell you first hand those kids played to win. I talked to a couple LC-M coaches on the field after the game and there were quite a number of boys with their heads down either crying or upset. Nobody likes to lose.
  12. My bad. I understood the data. I just guess I didn't understand the intent for the post. I know you said it meant nothing. I was just wondering about the inspiration for the post or if there was a point to it.
  13. Ummm. I'd like one of those obesity pills please... Oh, and a big bowl of that good gumbo too!
  14. Agreed. Like camps, videos, phone calls, talking to coaches on the high school and college levels...
  15. I'm not doubting that LC-M may have won on a turf field - like I said, I was impressed. Could it have been closer? Maybe... Not sure if I'm going to have the opportunity to watch a game. I have a friend whose son plays for Lumberton, a friend whose son plays for PN-G, close friends who teach at the LC-M schools, several co-workers who have kids at Beaumont schools and Mid County schools. Honestly I'd like to watch Splendora, LC-M or Lumberton play. I've been following that district pretty closely this year due to ties to Lumberton & LC-M. Can't really pick yet....
  16. Then to flatly answer your question, I would choose the winning program. Even if my kid was on that team. Coaches are hired to win games.
  17. I actually watched that LC-M v LHS game. I was impressed with LC-M. They had a lot of improvement throughout the season. I know the mud field slowed down the Lumberton team, but the Bears took care of business. Good luck to LC-M in the post season!
  18. If it's a Legit Question, then your premise is a little flawed. If you got a coach that won football games (I mean won like Newton, WOS, etc. year in/year out) then the scouts are gonna come no matter what. Plus in this day and age, even Junior High kids can make their own highlight videos. Hudl, YouTube, MaxPreps and other sites give the ability for these kids to be noticed a lot more than even just 5 years ago. Therefore, if you had a coach that could bring a team wins, then he would effectively be getting those same kids recruited. So, with that thought in mind, your question could only be: Would you rather choose a coach that wins football games and gets kid recruited or would you rather choose a coach that loses football games and gets kid recruited? I'll take the winner please...
  19. No doubt. Gonna be 40 below outside.
  20. That would be even sillier...
  21. I heard they left ALLL those other teams out just so they could leave WOS out...
  22. I think it's silly to leave any of them out...
  23. Well that’s silly. It was posted Sunday. Silly.
