I know it's been a while since I posted on this board. I just would like to give thanks to all involved in youth sports. Your time and efforts in the development of these young men and women go a very long way. It's the men and women who sacrifice there time to give back that makes the big difference. Despite all the negative that we may be faced with, the different situations that come about throughout a season, we all still find joy in seeing these young men and women progress, and develope into productive members of society. This is why we do this, not just for the thrill that comes with victory, but for the chance to say that we are actively apart of something that stands for right. So in conclusion continue being a role model, the greatest gift of all is giving. Thanks to all, have a happy holidays, hope to see you next year.
+1 and Amen!
the league took the word of the other team. The next day after the game was played and sheet signed off. Evidently the court found evidence they proved their case. This league is being sponsored by a anonymous NFL player. It will not start until summer of 2013. I am just the lawyer on board. Of course you know all that is in detail. I will not speak on this subject again. Good luck to the league. And word of Advise Revise Your bylaws.
You are a walking douche bag...

Ive been going out there for 13 years and never seen it this bad. I need some smoked deer sausage!!! :-[
Couple things I've noticed. LOTS of acorns on the ground, so less feeder traffic. Also, Big moon been overhead at 1 am. Lot of feeding going on at night.
it's not as big for you becuase you don't have that big name Heavyweight like a tyson, holyfield, lewis and etc!!! the little guys is what makes boxing goes now, Boxing needs a big time heavyweight that flat outs knocks people out and right now it doesn't!!
I love boxing...I never said that boxing is dead...However, if you compare the popularity of boxing Now vs in the 70's and 80's, boxing has declined drastically. MMA fighting, as a sport, is on the rise (especially in the UFC). I am not saying that boxing will be replaced by MMA fighting, but it will certainly share quite a bit of it's potential viewership.
smashmouth, Boxing paperview numbers beats UFC anyday, if mayweather vs pacman got done and u had gsp vs silva on the same night boxing kills mma in how much money each sport makes that night. Ortiz vs mayweather had huge numbers and pacman vs marquez just did huge numbers, cotto vs margrito will have good numbers too, SO you can't say boxing has been out for a long time!! numbers don't lie, UFC have so many pviews a yr than boxing but no way in heck boxing has been out of the door a long time when boxing just had 2 paperviews do over 1 million buys in a 2 month span!! also pacman vs mosley did over a million buys this yr and cotto vs margrito will get to a million or pretty close to it
Your assessment is correct; however, I am comparing the popularity of boxing to itself...past and present...and in that arena, it's percentage of fans is lacking.
Man, playoff time sure does make me wistful and get's me off to remember the good ol' days of my high school career over in the South Houston area. Back in them day's we prided ourselves on the number of concussions we could play through, we lifted hard in season, we tied nerds to the blocking sleds and pounded them with the support of the parents, administration and community. Back then that was how we figured out early who was worthwhile and who wasn't. We used to so many crazy awesome things!!!!! before the game we would all get so focused and fired up that peeing in football pants was not frowned upon but encouraged. Back then you could hit a QB a full three minutes after the throw with with no repercussions!!!!...and if they complained we'd get the ol' stinger out on 'em (the stinger was when you tied barbed wire around your fist and punched an opposing player in the gut) back then we seldom tied our shoes, we put raw meat into the webbing of our helmets to keep our strength up. we smoked cigarettes on the sidelines to enhance our mental focus, we make towers out of all the helmets and then knocked them to the ground!!!!...sometimes twice in one day!!!!!!....back then we hit the weights like crazy and admired each other's muscles in a VERY manly way. What are some of you guys favorite memories??
You sure cigarettes is all y'all were smoking? Dude... -

I had paq winning 115-113, those guys are just made for eachother!! lets see the paq vs mayweather fight!
I didn't see the fight but I read it was controversial. I also read Paq is having troubles.
Gotta say, I am an MMA convert...Hard to beat the sheer skill AND downright buttwhipping in a UFC fight!

The meat is hand made and not pressed like all fast food burgers including my favorite fast food Whataburger. The meat then takes on the kind of charred around the edges of a skillet cooked burger and not a flat pressed one on a stainless steel grill. It is then a basic choice of lettuce, pickles, tomatoes, onions and mayo or mustard for condiments. It is comfort food. It isn't a buffalo meat burger or one stacked with sauteed mushrooms and onions and Swiss cheese on top.
But, I can make that at home and then it will actually have flavor and it'll be a fraction of the cost.
You can make everything at home at a fraction of the cost. I can grill a steak at home a lot better than what I can get locally and feed the whole family for what it cost me for one dinner out and I can cook 6 shrimp at home a lot cheaper than $20. But we pay for convenience and time. We don't eat out because it is a good deal or always better food. I am not hating on him, he does remind me a little of the "old Michael Vick", but his offensive line gives him plenty of time to throw the ball or take off running, if they are not rushed. If he is rushed then he collapses. He does have good arm strength, but to me in my personal opinion he does not do well outside the pocket. Again I am not hating on him. He is a good athlete, again I am not hating.
Why you hatin??? Lol. -

Raiders) 9 year old team also went undefeated this year and allowed only 2 touchdowns during the regular season! We play in the Pop Warner division and many of the kids have promising futures! In fact, all 4 of the S.T.A. Raider teams made it to the Area Championship Game and 3 of the won the title! The program is only in its 4th season and will be something to recon with in the years to come! It would nice to have everyone compete in a Calvacade!
A tournament would be better... -
Dog 27 your way off in your thinking, this is why our country is so screwed up because of people like you !! Just like most people here they just want to have a simple prayer at a football game but noooo that might hurt someones feeling , get over it and dont listen to it. People have misinterpeted the constitution many times to fit what they believe it says and so has the Holy Bible . Our country is fallen apart because we are trying to please all the nay sayers instead of the majority.
Our country is screwed up because of "people like me?" Well pal, let me inform you of a few things. I don't ever bring this up to anyone, but since you wanna call me out Ill say it. For the past few years I have had 20-40 hours of community service each year. This is not mandated or required in any way by anyone. I just do it on my own. I have volunteered at special needs homes, disaster cleanups, soup kitchens, rehab centers, underprivileged youth centers, etc. I have never been arrested, heck I have never gotten a traffic ticket. I graduated near the top of my class, I went to college, got a degree, and I've worked a job ever since I was 16 years old. So, if thats whats wrong with the world today, then I take full blame for being such a terrible person to society. I shouldve realized that instead of doing those things, I shouldve been praying. Then the world would be a better place. How stupid of me for not doing that. Side note for your betterment: Dont attack someones character when you know nothing about them. It makes you look really dumb.
GoDogs27, I don't know you, but you sound like a fine person. I appreciate a person who does community service (especially without doing it for the public see). It sounds like the only thing missing is a little bit of Jesus Christ in your life. I hope you find Him one day. I am not saying this to give you a hard time. I am saying this because it is my job as a Christian to let you know that Jesus Christ is your Saviour. I also think you sound like a good guy. -
That's a good point...they don't NEED to...However, prayer in a group, whether being led by one or many, is a unifying experience. I don't think you have to attend church to get to Heaven either...but still, regular church attendance is a constant reminder of what we are supposed to be living for. It is a weekly "pick me up" that helps a Christian stay focused. Saying or not saying prayers out loud is not going to change the world, but I will continue my right to free speech at a ball game. I, as an individual, am within my rights to pray aloud in the stands...I will continue to do so no matter the consequences. -
