[/quote]Well Pearland (a school that shares athletes w/ Dawson & Manvel) just beat both of those schools(Katy & Trinity) last year.  Single game planning and preparation!  Win both in different fashion.  Adjusting to the competition is key.  Pearland is 5A but not a powerhouse.  Did you see what these people did to Aledo?  Tivy (4a) just gave DII 5A champs Cibolo Steele all they can handle.  Cibolo Steele is a Powerhouse too.

[/quote] Longview has bounced back and forth between 4A and 5A over the years. [/quote]Exactly & they always compete!  Now LT beat them in State a couple years back. And now Longview is making deep runs into 5A state.  I just think LT's program can compete on that level easily.  11 on 11, with gameplanning... They have a good shot at winning single game elimination football on the 5A level.

I'm a big supporter of Manvel ... But that ranking might be a Little too high after how they played Friday night!

Used more than 1 QB, but there isn't much talent over there.  Grandbury is a great weapon until you key on him then that stops the show.  Look at LaMarque for example: Tim, Manny, 6'plus receivers etc... Dawson: Kimble, Gilbert, White, Miles, Crenshaw, #7 the reciever.... Manvel: Melancon, Rose, Bennett, 2 QB's, etc... That's talent with ability to compete.  Goose Creek has a long way to go, but they are fighters!
