1. Thought it was pretty funny when that car alarm drowned out our band. LOL
 2. Double flea-flicker. Kirbyville is running the trickery early. Ball is deep in Jasper territory.
 3.

Any broadcasts links?
KJAS should be carrying the game: [Hidden Content] They normally start broadcasting the games around 7:00 pm, but you can verify getting the station now by picking up their regular programming.
KJAS has the game. Loud and clear from Albuquerque. Go Dawgs!!
 4.
Liberty did not make the playoffs last year.
You're right. I just went back to DCTF and double-checked it. They were still 7-3, which isn't bad at all.
 5. Liberty had most of its team back that made the playoffs last year. I'm surprised this wasn't a better game. The question is whether Jasper has improved that much or if Liberty has fallen off. I guess we'll find out, but I hope the Panthers can come together and have a good year. Go Dawgs!!!
 6. It looks like its starting to get its act together. If it strengthens the way they're forecasting it to, look out. It needs to either go through a rapid intensification phase so that it can recurve and go into AL/MS (possible) or just fall apart altogether (very unlikely given water temps, shear, etc.). I'm praying it misses you guys down there, but it looks like it won't....
 7.
I felt while he was at HD and Anahuac, the passing game was not developed enough to even be a distraction to opposing defenses. When the rushing game was shut down, that was it. This is not say he is not a good coach or person, just something I noticed throughout his time at HD and Anahuac.
Based on the preview here, the Bulldogs are going back to the spread yet again. What offense did Anahuac run last year?
 8. I lived there in Seattle for years and I really like Sarkisian, but it's crazy to even recruit a kid that young. So many things can happen over that much time.
 9. Reggie Davis- Jasper...but I also remember a guy on PNG's '89 team that ran all over Jasper in the playoffs in Pasadena. It seemed like he ran the ball every play of the fourth quarter to ice that game for them after they took a big lead early. We couldn't stop him for anything. Do you Indian fans remember him?
 10. I don't think Coach Barbay has any intention of letting the baseball program slip. The hire might be a little out of the box, but I'm sure Coach Mixon had some input as well. I'm on board until there's reason not to be. That program's been as good as any in the area since Coach Rogers took over about 20 years ago and I don't see that changing anytime soon.
 11. It'll be interesting to see how Jasper does with Coach Barbay starting out and bringing back the spread. I know they're not top-25 talent yet, but they should good enough to make the playoffs out of their district this year and get better after that. They'll score plenty, but they'll only go as far as the defense takes them. That's always been the biggest indicator of how good they are.
 12.
I spoke today to two coaches at Jasper. The interim tag was offered to two coaches before the trainer. (This is why I believe there is a problem with admin, how is there no one on staff that wants it... Just smells fishy to me) I was also told he does not teach. But they both told me he is a great trainer.
Can you prove this stuff? Your handle suggests that you have other interests besides what's really going on in Jasper. I'm not there anymore and don't know from Adam how all of this went down, but it's not right to just throw rumors out there. I agree with Dawgdad92 (no, we're not the same guy). It seems that you have an axe to grind...
 13.
Sounds like a complete mess to me.
Agreed. Does anyone come to mind that can deal with such harsh (sarcasm) demands and make things right? I'm at a loss...
 14. I just found out and this is ridiculous. Twenty years ago, Jasper was as good a job as there was almost anywhere in the state and now I don't know why anyone would want it. It's very unsettling to be a Bulldog right now...
 15. It's been like this ever since Pat Foster left over 25 years ago. Being an LU basketball fan is incredibly frustrating.
 16. I'm sure a lot of us are gunners at heart and think about shooting every time we touch the ball, but that doesn't make us any good. It would be nice for Coach Knight to find a Steve Alford type guy or two, though.
 17.
Until then, it seems that everyone can score 30 points or more on these Jasper teams of late.
It's a shame. I read this sentence again and immediately thought of the '82 team that was 12-0 in 4A going into the Willowridge playoff game and had only allowed 23 points all season. It's hard to fathom giving up points like we do these smaller schools. I know people were hard on the coaches that were there because we never won it all, but I would take that success back in a heartbeat. I'm sure a lot of my fellow Bulldogs would, too...
 18. I agree 100% with the guy in Silsbee. Jasper built its tradition on defense. During the Walkoviak era, defense was a constant and we were always good even when the offense wasn't. Creating short fields for our offense by forcing mistakes was our bread and butter. I'd love to see that come back to Jasper.
 19.
GUNHO will like this prediction.  WOS 3 Jasper 0
I would love to see that kind of defense again...just not the result. It's been years since we could consistently stop people.
 20. I think Jasper will play well enough to win and one play will swing it one way or the other. 21-20 Jasper. Let's all take a minute to think about the young man that was lost during this game last year. RIP, Reggie....
 21. I saw Jasper beat Cleveland 82-0 once. There were three touchdowns called back on drives that we didn't score and about a 650 yard difference in production. We knew it was gonna be ugly because something happened that caused a bunch of Cleveland's starters to leave the team. Jasper was the preseason pick to win 4A that year in DCTF and I think we were #3 in the AP rankings going into that game...
 22.
In the late 80's Newton beat Crosby in a playoff game played at PN-G 70 to 0.  I believe it was a second or third round playoff game.
That was Jasper that beat Crosby 70-0, not Newton. It was 1983, I think. Might have been 1984. Newton was 3A then while Crosby and Jasper were 4A.
 23.
New euro run  [Hidden Content]
There's the drought buster...but at what cost? That would be a mess for everybody on the TX and LA coasts...
 24.
Raidernaytion, how do you like your crow? Roll Ltrain, this was over before it started, and all those other comments yall made. ????? They better give #9 for Lumberton a break or he wont be there in district. And no, that offense will not get yall very far. Not because the offense is that bad, but because your defense won't be able to stop good runners. Your offense needs to score 25-35 a game. Wont happen
Dude. We won TWO games last year. There's a lot more to do before we can talk noise to anybody. It was a good win, but that's all it was. JUST ONE WIN. Let's focus on Livingston now. They're a good football team and the Dawgs need to be ready...
 25.
Turnovers, turnovers, turnovers
That and penalties are killers. Jasper's been bit by those a million times over the years. They've made a couple of mistakes tonight, but they're looking good against what many here on the board thought was a better team. 28-7 at the break...
