Hopefully he is given the opportunity to build a culture. It doesn't get much better than Austin Westlake, and coaching under a legend like Todd Dodge. Obviously he can't bring any of those studs with him, but hopefully they can coach up what we got, and install a program that everyone in BC will get on board with. We have had 10 different head coaches since 1974. It is absolutely impossible to build a program when every 3 to 5 years there is a change at the top. I can’t find any info about the situation other than the job opening for AD was posted March 17th and this excerpt from [Hidden Content] Kelly's first chore at BCISD will be hiring a new athletic director. Allen DeShazo was let go recently after his football teams compiled a three-year 6-21 record. "We'll find out real fast how popular I am," Kelly joked. But, over the telephone, as he worked one of his final days in Central Texas, he revealed he was tasked with hiring a new athletic director for Valley Mills, too.

The more I think about it, if the coach was let go from Valley Mills, why would it make sense for the new superintendent to hire him in BC?

Looks like Valley Mills is also looking for Athletic Director / Football coach... I don’t know anything about the coach, or their program though.
