I gotta say, it is nice to see some new faces in the playoffs this year. Those that have been here be4.......show some respect 4 the new kids on the block. They r proud of their school and have a chance to crow. Great for them. Having a little fun is great............trash talking is fun.......to a point. There r teams that I personally don't like :-\ but once the playoffs start........I will back every team from this area. Good luck to all............boys and girls.

I have never been a proponent of playing off a 3-way tie. In this case, they are fighting for the right to NOT play Big Sandy. BS is revved up and ready to go. Whoever has to play them will have to get over a dissappointing loss and try to prepare for BS. Not that any of them can't mind you, but it will be difficult.

I know that Wharton is pretty salty, so if they were beat byWC twice.......well good luck

No matter what happens.............remember that this is a practice game. It is to prepare the teams for the playoffs. It will be fun to watch...........as well as the EC v Kountze game.

If I'm not mistakened, Crockett still has the daughter of the old Trinity Coach. She is a Real player (when her ankles are healthy). But I don't think they can get past a strong China Springs. Diboll's monster post is very impressive. (She can dunk already) Diboll will win this 1 Liberty Hill will win Orangefield easily Cleveland has lost quite a bit from their state run....so I give this 1 to Smithville Fairfield can GO!!!!! They will win this. Their point is pretty dadgum good. Navasota will win (unfortunately)

What happened???? I know the coach at Evadale and my opinion is that he is really good. I have not kept up w/ this area's girls in a while, but Burk used to be a road bump of a girls' team. They always had talent tho. Maybe they have gotten someone to corral that talent. If that is the case.....great for them... and watch out!

If I am wrong someone correct me, but is Chireno who had a few players hurt. If this is the case....are they back for the playoff run?

If WOS doesn't take WH serious it could be a shocker. Even with the injuries I think WOS should win, but I sure would like to see WH pull it off......

The fans at the game made the game worth going to. Both teams' fans were into the game which made it a game that much more enjoyable at which to be. Being down 12 in the first minute and a half to two minutes was crucial in that BS had to scramble from behind the whole game. It was a great game. Congrats to WH!

This will be the place to be Friday. 6 of the better teams in the smaller school realms. These communities will bring fans in mass so seating will be interesting. For those of us who are just plain basketball fanatics.......this is the place to BE!!! Afterwhich, if you want to see some big school powers......go to St Thomas. Huntsville is a monster as well as others playing there Sat.

For the most part it is extremely hard not to be biased. Plus most don't watch much more than their school's team. And it makes for good reading......

Is it known on what grounds they are appealing? UIL is pretty strict when it comes to ineligilbility.

Seems to be a great representation of what all athletic programs want from their student/athletes. Kudos to Vance and EC.

My opinion exactly

Don't be surprised if this is a very vanilla game by both teams. There will be scouts from upcoming oponents there. No frills here, just in your face, this is what we do and we are going to beat you with it. With that in mind, this will be a true barnburner!!! I really can't give a prediction other than it won't be by more than 10 either way. Anyone that wants to see a real good game...................... This is the game to see........... Oh, and I would get there early. I have heard from people as far off as Huntsville, Lufkin, and (believe it or not) Tyler areas that say they are coming to this one. This one is going to be good!

No matter the outcome tonight and/or Tuesday, what would be nice is to see both teams meet in the regional finals. Now Martin's Mill, Grapeland, and Avery may have something to say about it, but to see two teams from 24A in the finals would be great.

There are at least 6 teams from this area that very likely make very deep runs. Won't be surprised to see them at the state tourney. Southeast TX is well represented. Be proud of your teams. This will be a very interesting playoff year. I will be using a lot of gas watching all the games.................. ;D

W/ Carter as the coach of Warren, this win really should not be a surprise. He has done a great job just about everywhere he has been. Congrats Warren.

At this point, throw the record out. Each game is important. Losing now should not be an option. Don't look past anybody! And remember that the target on your back gets bigger and bigger with each win. This is a special group. You as players and coaches...as well as the community will remember this for a long time! Keep up the great work.

yes.......and no. It depends on the coach and the program. yes in that they practice much more than other teams............. and no in that if the program is not the right one and the coach is not savvy and understanding of the situation the team will burn out and peek way too soon. At the moment, BS has the right program and coach cuz they r peeking at the correct time. and i don't remeber goodrich having f-ball even in the 80s.....could be wrong 'bout that tho. Pending a disaster by both BS and WH, the game on the 13th at Evadale will be a true barn burner.

They could have flipped. Both needed a practice game. This game is good for the fans of both schools, so it fills the bill for both the fans and the teams. Won't be surprised if they have to play again down the road.
