We had two turnovers and 40 yards in penalties! I know what you mean though, but give some credit to CEK on thier D. We were having issues going outside and had to pound it up the middle which took awhile to open up.
We never really opened it up on offense. We left a lot of good plays on the paper. I guess the coach felt like we didn't need to do anything fancy as the offense scored 31 pts. anyhow. I think we are getting spoiled as fans to not appreciate a 38-10 win. We did play with more intensity this week over last week. Defense was awesome. The interceptions are beginning to add up. Defense gave us good field position all night.
 2.
This may be the proverbial straw.
Lee istruly the Dr. Jekyl and Mr. Hyde team this year. They play every other game. Taking nothing away from NF, they played us tough last week. Their QB is really a good one. Looks like this comes down to BH and GCM with Crosby and Day fighting it out for 3rd and 4th.
Not true. Elkins (4-2 with losses to Dayton and Hightower), Angelton and yes, Ike, are good teams. The Broncos looked better early in the season this year. Very puzzling.
BH took the starch and swagger outa the Broncos. Now they have to figure out how to get it back. On any given Friday!

I wonder what the differencial was last year between KP / BREN  ;) Right now its about getting to the playoffs / getting there healty / then the real season starts  ;D
When your kid is playing every game is precious. The playoffs are just a bonus. Because when the season is over, it's over forever, and all we are left with is our memories. Unless you are one of the lucky parents who get to watch your kid play at the next level. I savor every Friday, because as George C. Scott said at the end of Patton; " All Glory is Fleeting."

 7.
I'm so tired of hearing all of this talk about Price and Gage.  Football coaches aren't hired to have good people skills or to high five people coming off the sidelines.  They are hired to win and set an example for young men to follow.  Price did that better than most and Gage is doing a good job of it now for the most part.  Ive never seen Bill Belichek chest bump a player coming off the field.....does that make him less of a coach than Rex Ryan who does it all the time??  He'll no it doesn't. Coaches are asked to lead by example and win. Just because it didn't fit your style of coach doesn't make him/her a bad coach. Price had 95% of the high school athletics winning district championships.  That speaks for itself. Who gives a flip if he wasn't a great PR guy?? This isn't college athletics where you have to sell yourself to the BCS and recruit kids from all over the country. Price did a great job in all sports and Gage is picking up where he left off. They both have been successful in their own styles. Just leave it alone and talk about the present. CE King is up next and I know Gage will have his boys ready to roll and put it on the Panthers.  Let's go get it Eagles!  I'd much rather talk about the young men on the field pouring their guts out every Friday night.  Bring the wood tomorrow BH!
I give a flip and my son has played for both. There is a distinctly positive difference.

Way to cut to the quick smokin baby :)
 11.

The Hill is for Real.
They are until Oct. 28th. Then they will just be real disappointed.
I gotta admit, GCM usually plays us tough. I am more worried about GCM than anybody we have left on our schedule. However I don't think GCM will be able to stop our improving offense from scoring at will. It will be up to our defense to stop the explosive GCM offense. I think they will be up to the task.
 12.
Of course they don't even mention the defense.
We know we wouldn't be where we are without our defense. They are lights out against the run. We are going to improve further against the pass. If Perry maks a return we will even be better although Bryson has done an admirable job in his absence. It really helped to get Andrew back after his elbow injury and he has done a very good job moving from safety to corner when needed. Our linebackers are the best in the area, including Ned's vaunted defense. Offense wins games but defense wins championships! Our defense will carry us into at least the 2nd round of the playoffs. On the other hand, our offense is avgering 30pts. a game. Not bad for a slow, boring, I'd rather watch paint dry, offense as many posters were saying at the beginning of the year. 8)

Give me an AMEN!
Cha-Ching....guess dem fellars over at da hill, were rite after all. Just sayin ! AMEN !!!!!!
Coach Price was aloof from the players and inaccessible to the parents. He coached a game from 30yds down the sideline from the players. I think he was burned out the last couple of years he was here and was just giong through the motions. His teams won because for the most part he had good coaches working for him and the dedication of the kids to work hard. Coach Gage brought in a new crop of young coaches with a lot of enthusiasm. Coach Bruce Taylor stayed with BH and no one has more enthusiasm than him. Coach Gage did the right thing by retaining Bruce. Gage  is not only a motivator but a very good technician of the game. Play calling, execution of the clock, etc. He is the real deal. He is also very friendly and accessible to the parents. BH is blessed with a great senior class of players this year also. There may be some drop off next year but coach Gage will find a way to win. He is building the program from the bottom up. He also plays the 2nd string when we have a comfortable lead which gives those boys experience and keeps everyone happy. Price never did that. He would play the starters until the last play even when winning by a huge margin. Our quarterback, Chris Daniels, tore his ACL late in the 4th quarter one year and lost a full ride scholarship to rice. We had a big lead in that game when it happened. We are lucky to have Coach Gage and all he brings to the team and school district.
Beg to differ, back ups got alot of clean up time, with that old staffs, if you dont believe me, I can give you film of it, there is nothing wrong with keeping your starters in to continue to get work.  If youre throwing 5o yard bombs when your up by 40, them you should question your motives.  It stunk what happened to Chris, we lost a kid with a broken foot because he got out of his truck one day, things happen.  BH isnt the only  school that keeps starts in, and they wont be the last.  And Gage again is doing a great Job, but to say he is building a program from the ground up is an insult to the Coaches that were there and left, and to the ones that were there and are still there.  BH has been a great program for a while now, not just the two years, so its not like Coach Gage had to come in and start from scratch.  Being apart of other ms programs and seeing what some high schools produce into college.  BH has always worked the MS levels hard, and it shows off when they beat teams that are bigger and faster.  Thats been happening since the 90's my friend.
I've only been watching BH since about 2000 so if you say he played the subs in the 90's I won't dispute your word. I haven't personally seen Price play the subs much. Year before last he did play the senior subs in their last home game after we had a comfortable lead. They played about the last four minutes of the 4th quarter. When you come in as a new coach with a new system everyone starts from scratch, regardless of what has happened in the past. From TIFI on up.
I think thats the kind of team we have this year. Alot of people are gonna look at the BH lose and the scores being close in most of the games and think DA BRONX arent gonna make some noise. Thats how we like it  ;)  As my boy Woody once said..........I'd rather look ugly and win than pretty and lose. ;) Which kinda of explains BH so far this year(just the ugly) ;D ;D
We have two ugly wins now, Nederland and North Forest. If not for the missed kick we would have lost to Ned and we should have been better prepared for a salty NF team.

 17. I think BH will not be reading their press clippings this week and will be prepared for this one much more so than against FB. CE King trys to pick fights and is an embarrassment to their community. BH  35 CEK  7
 18. Ned's defense wins another one, regardless of what the offense does. Ned  17  Central  7
 19. As much as I hate to do this, I'm gonna go with GCM in a close one. I think they are learning how to win and Day. is going the other direction. Should be some more coaches in Broncos faces again this week. :'(

 21.
Thank goodness for the win! Whew that was ugly. Hats off to NF. For those guys to give that kind of effort with what they have to endure is pretty remarkable. I'll take the win though, we have a ton of work to do. Get back to work Eagles.
You just never know. !st time we have come out with a lack of intensity. It can be scary, just ask Dayton! The stats and the score are lopsided but we should have had three more td's had we executed the way we are capable of. Our big play guys made the plays when they had to on offense and defense. Gotta hand it to the NF team though. They played us salty with no quit. Hats off to em and good luck to NF in the rest of their district games.
 22.
no worry about that.one game at a time to good of a district to think about that right now.to much ball still to be played!
Great win Ned. My prediction was Ned 13 Liv 10.  Take em one game at a time. You have got the team to win 20-4A. Still the best defense we have played by far. Congrats again. :D

 24.
Has anybody heard if jak has got any better I keep hoping to see him out there. That one kid when he is healthy can change our whole team and what we can do offensively. I look for our defense to keep improving I say that because I saw alot of new faces on the sidelines and if we can get some of those young kids to really contribute who knows what can happen. Dayton 45 lee 7
Jakari was our nemesis 7th grade to 11th grade. I was really sorry he wasn't able to play against us this year. He was a stud before the injury. I wanted BH to beat Day at their best. Something was lacking without Jakari in the lineup. I am hoping he can make a return to the lineup. Good luck to him and his family.
