[/quote]Smiley had a tough team just before FB and Smiley combined. When I was in highschool the FB band was really fun to watch, although I was in the locker room at the time. Too bad what has happened to NF ISD, kinda like the economy; hard to plan or do anything positive with so much uncertainty hanging over your head. Hope y'all's fans show up for your kids. It takes a lot of courage for them to go out there week after week.

Bh Defense has given up 9.4 pts per game, 91.8 ypg rushing (2.6) per carry, 106 ypg passing, total 197.8 ypg. I don't have Ned or Liv defensive stats but I'm sure some of you do.

BH scored 49 on Lee, not 42.

[/quote]Kaleb did a great job of executing the offense tonight; holding the ball til the last instant to pitch. It makes the running backs job look easy. I have to agree with most everyone else, Lee's skill players are misused. However don't sell our skill players short, I wouldn't trade em for Lee's. By the way our lineman did some great blocking tonight. And how about that defense! They have given up an avg. of 9.4 pts a game. Does anyone else around here have a better avg after 5 games? Anyone can be happy playing for a winning team. Even the kids that sit the bench can enjoy being a part of a winner. That's still fun. On the other hand, it takes real determination to go out and practice week after week knowing you are probably going to get pounded. I admire them for sticking it out and believe they will learn some valuable life lessons. I always learned more from my failures than my successes. On the subject of Huffman's QB. How has Preston been doing? He is a good kid who just didn't fit into BH's offensive scheme.

I think he just wanted to go into Admin. (Something alot of coaches do.) He was one of the finest persons/coaches I have known. I would have run through a wall for that man. I know he has since retired from BHISD. Can't remember if he was Principal or Superintendent. [/quote]Al retired from BH as the supertindent. He and his wife moved to Sun City near Georgetown where he plays golf and enjoys the good life.

BH holds a charity event to rebuild the liquor store in Dayton after angry and forlorn fans ransacked the shelves last Friday. Bowls of Gander gumbo can be purchased for $5 or foodstamps. Plenty of tenderized goose meat left after last nights game in Baytown.
