Nederland will be the odds on favorite because they won it last year and have a lot of players back...that far from guarantees my Dogs anything and I expect the district to be tough as always...Vidor will be good again, Ozen seems to be headed in the right direction and will have some talented backs and receivers returning...I expect Central to be better and png will be in the mix as well...even the "so called" expected lwoer tier teams will be dangerous as LCM has Sezar and Livingston, although they lose a ton, will still have Collins, who is a true playmaker...winning district and having a successful year depends on a lot of factors and talent is certainly one of them and Nederland has that...football is a funny game and you have to have breaks go your way sometimes and as we all know, teams need to stay relatively healthy to have long term success. Best of luck to the Dogs next season...it has the potential to be a special season, but everything must fall in place as I mentioned above.
With this I can Agree :) :)
two words.. he's fast. like colton kimler fast. he has been getting looks at strong safety. but he will have to earn a spot just like anyone else. he is also a sophomore.
well you can't teach speed..
and speed isn't everything...
it's raining Football players in Ned...oh my, Neumann has done the right rain dance. This kid is good and what a group Neumann already has. Neumann is sleeping good at night. zzzz....."I have amazing starters returning and I have amazing back ups to amazing back ups."zzzz....."Defense is like no other, have amazing backups" zzzz..."The kids love to hit, I see passion every play..."zzzzz...."95 days to football, 94 days,93 days, 92 days.... Counting the days until football, not sheep, while he sleeps...
And when district starts, BAM! Dream over and the nightmare begins as the Bulldogs fall to 0-1 at the hands of Vidor. He'll be counting Pirates running into the endzone over that "black death defense" that they have so been called.
LMAO ;D ;D :( :D :D ;D ;D :'( :'( :'(

Just know that it does not matter how small they are, if the kids have heart and you give them good coaching, great things can happen.

The worst thing any commnity can do is find a great AD/HC for their team and think it will all change over night. You have to watch for progress each year and then it will happen.

They are good ball players but lets dont go overboard. Also looking at the crosby program they showed 47 players and 30 seniors. Crosby has alot to replace.
I agree... I doubt they are highly recruited, unless they grow. Look at Montgomery's Leroy Dobbins from a few years ago. He was one of the best HB's in the state, and one of the most explosive players I've ever seen. Due to his size, he wasn't highly recruited and went to a junior college in New York.
I agree also with both remarks.

He is, and I believe they will be pleased with him. I don't know what their program has been in the past but thing will surely be better.
awhile back, he was the head coach at Livingston, left for Tarkington then went back as the O-line coach at Livingston. He may have been somewhere in between the schools I mentioned, but I know these for a fact. He is a great guy, and I expect to see more from Hardin...
Yes he was, did a good job as head coach, but then Rowe become available. Nothing against Coach Fortune, Coach Rowe was a home boy they tried to get before him but they didn't want to pay the money. So when they got another chance to get Coach Rowe they decided to put AD?HC together to get him. Coach Fortune showed his character by coming back and coaching the OL and did a great job. I believe he would have been our coach again some day after Rowe, that just how much respect everyone in Livingston had for him. He'll put together a great program in Hardin if they support him. He was able to get kids to play for him that would not play for the coaches before him. Good luck to Hardin and Coach Fortune, we will be following your team.

You're Right WOS and Coldspring have proven it overtime. These are not your normal 3A teams, just like Yates in basketball this coming year.
Question should be brenham who?
The same Brenham that's 2-1 against Dayton. ;) ;D
This should mean at least 3 more pages! ;D ;D ;D ;D -
I really don't like seeing our team play anyone less than 4A, but teams like WOS, Coldspring, and Silsbee are teams I would never be shame to have on my schedule or would ever underestimate. All these teams can give you more than you want to handle, their numbers maybe small, but their play is big time. ;D ;D
WOS and Coldspring would give your cubs a run for their money! 8)
You are right these two teams would give any 4a team a run for their money. Their schedule is a good strong schedule and should help their team prepare for 20-4A. I like their schedule, just as much as I like our schedule and we will be their first distrist game. 8)

I had a chance to see our Lions on Monday and I believe we could make some noise. We have the size on the line, but we are young, I would have felt a lot better if we had not lost Coach Fortune this year because he knew how to take young players and cause the to grow up and perform. I still believe Coach Rowe will make sure he has someone to do a good job with these young linemen, I'll just have to wait to see how they progress, but if they do, we have more than enough skill position players to make some noise!!

ScDawgs, where can I find a schedule for Sc, would like to check your team out this coming year to see if they are everything you say. I already know Dayton will have a good team and looking forward to playing them this year to measure what type of team we will have. Really would like to see them on a Thursday or Saturday game if they are playing one. -
