Its all in fun at least it is too me :)
Right you are, lots of great fans on this site, but come August it becomes serious!! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D, Welcome to SETX!!
 2. Prayers from Livingston.

I appreciate the support that the Summer Creek fans give their team. I am sure your boys have talent to do so well so soon, but your fans level of trash talk is way beyond your years. Congrats on that achievment, but unfortunately smack doesn't translate to wins. We won't be too hard on you when you lose to BH, Crosby, and Dayton this year. We enjoy having youngsters around it reminds us of when we all started.
You really think we will lose to all 3 teams ? Honestly, what makes you believe that ? Don't say because we lost to Mag West
;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
 4. Hoping that all teams stay healthy, if so, 20-4A will be strong come playoffs.
 5.
Brenham will start the season ranked #3 in the state, finish the season ranked #3 in the state, then take an early exit out of the playoff's ;)
I don't believe they will make the playoffs this year, maybe the next year.

Nederland's main concern will be complacency due to overconfidence.
I don't think the teams in 20-4A will allow them to get too overconfident.
These kids are the hardest working group I have seen in a while and if everything and everyone stays healthy, It will be amazing what they can achieve.  Underclassman are strong and push the Veteran Varsity players to a whole nother level.  It will be interesting. Also, note the Seniors on down are all the beneficiaries of Junior League Football in Nederland(STJFL) started by Troy Jones a few years ago.  To me, the league he built has turned a profit for the Dogs.  When it started, everybody and their dog signed up to play.  These kids have been taught, pushed and played long enough to be instinctively great on the football field. Thanks Troy Jones....the Dogs appreciate your vision!!!
I'm not taking anything away from your team, I believe they will be good, just as I believe that Vidor will also. But as I said they are playing in 20-4A and no one will just lie down and give them the title or allow them to just show up and they win. As I stated 20-4A will not allow anyone to be overconfident. Good luck to your team.
That is a very good point. We can sit here and talk all this trash and name all these people that we have coming back and underclassmen moving up and all that but we all should know that anything can happen on a Friday night. Injuries happen and people who weren't supposed to be good can change some minds. That's just a fact when it comes to Texas High School Football.  8)
I know you're right, and everyone who has been around or apart of sports, know it only take one injury to the right player on any team and it can change your whole season. And there's always that team that ends up surprising everyone. And in a district that has so much talent, it does'nt leave much room for error. 8)

The next two spots are up for grabs. Ozen, Central, PNG and Livingston should fight it out for the final two spots. All four of these teams have question marks going into next season. Injuries and schedule (home/road) will also play a major role in who finishes in the money. Lumberton and LCM are both still a year away from contending. Nederland Vidor Central Livingston Ozen PNG LCM Lumberton
At Livingston we lost 20 Seniors, but the strong preseason schedule will help our young player grow up in a hurry. We are still not putting a lot of pressure on them to make the playoffs this year, but anything can happen. If our linemen develop who knows what can happen. ;D ;D ;D
That's what I've been told too, I have 2 grandsons who will be juniors this year playing varsity and that's what they said, if their linemen develop they will be ok.

Love playing and watching them play, they talk plenty trash but always back it up. Thanks for being honest, it's easy to do, when you know also that your team always impress! 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8)

We missed the playoffs in 2007 only to make a 4 round playoff push the following year. Last  year, we missed the playoffs...  this year...  ?????  ;) ;) 8) 8)
That's why I never count Central out ...  ;)
Central will make plenty of noise this year, might even bring some of the big dogs down, that's what I believe.
 13. School him mytwocents, track speed and football speed are not the same. Track speed is no good when at the point of contact linemen, linebacker, corners, and safeties are putting leather on you ars, it only helps in open field. ;D ;D ;D ;D ::)

That was our 1st playoff apperance that noone expected us to be in, we had alot of seniors that really never played Football until their junior year...we had several sophmores starting...this is how I see district standings ending SummerCreek 8) Dayton KP Crosby Humble CE King BH Porter New Caney
"SC it is" is officially in tha house!!! 15.
Lumberton's not going to do a thing............ ;)
I put them at 7th, but it wouldn't surprise me if they finished as high as 5th. Don't believe they will make the playoff unless some strange things happen, because 20-4A won't be as strong this year as it was last year from top to bottom.
 16. 1. Nederland 2. Vidor 3. Ozen (could end up in 4th or 5th) 4. Livingston ( only if we can play defense, could end up in 5th again  :( :( :( :( :( :() 5. Central ( could end up in 3rd or 4th) 6. PNG 7. Lumberton 8. LCM
 17.
Silsbee must play better defense tonight and make that 300lb center run! Get LaVega in foul trouble andknock down shots!
You are right, they will have to run baby Shac.
 18. I'll be there pulling for the Tigers, but they will have their hands full with baby Shac.
 19.
Refs weren't the problem, guard play was. Reminded me of the 3rd qtr against Silsbee. Hj messed up when they went up 10. La Vega turned up their full court man to man defense and figured out Hj was weak at pg. Up by 1 with 30 seconds left, just hold the ball, no need to make that pass.
Exactly the way I saw it. They fell apart at the wrong times.

Nederland lost, and we expect some flack. That's OK, it makes the board fun. But it really is unnecessary to call out specific boys by name or number and say things like "you don't even know when they're on the floor, or "they have JV talent at best".  You said Weisbrod and English are good players, simply leave it at that. If you notice, you are the only one who in almost every post in some way shows your dislike for Nederland. All in fun, I don't think so. Am I oversensitive, not hardly.  Not sure where the deep seeded dislike stems from, but keep in mind this board exists because of the very boys and teams we talk about. When you got back on this board you said you wanted to be a positive contributor.......keep working at it, IMO you're not there yet.
Good advice.  I believe you should add in that is equally improper to demean a community or any individual sports program as well.
I second that!
It has been motioned and seconded, All in favor say I...............I.  ;D ;D ;D
 21. Livingston as I've heard so far: Week O: College Park Week 1: Dayton Week 2: TBA Week 3: Silsbee
 22. I have to say Dayton for sure.

I hate traveling to Livingston a couple times a year, so I can only imagine what those folks over there feel like having to do it every week! Just flat sux!
