Yes, it's true, they have been thinking about adding the spread as a part of their offense for years. My son was offensive coordinator for a 5A school who ran the spread offense, was asked to join their staff 4years ago for that reason. I believe they have someone now who know the offense and has installed it. And believe me, they have the talent to run it, but there bread and butter will always be their old stuff. They didn't mention that #10 only weighs 150 pounds soaked and wet, but maybe the toughest back they have. They will have all kind of options to score, they will just need to make some stops.

This team lacks speed, but they play with a lot of heart.  They maybe the 2nd best team in your district, after Brenham. [/quote] It looks like a 3 horse race at the moment, but Stratford could jump in too.  Some big games to open district in 2 weeks.  All 4 of those teams going at it. Brenham @ Magnolia West Montgomery @ Stratford I agree, MW is a very dangerous team, but I don't see Brenham underestimating them.  From what i've seen, Bell is a good coach, and they also have a pretty good safety, in addition to that HB.  I hope they can get settled back in their homes before we play. [/quote] Yes, I hope they get settled back as well, many prayers sent up for them. Their kids played Willis with a lot of pride and emotions, I was amazed at how they played that night. They have good coaching but everyone knows how good of coaches you all have, there will be no room for error. Should be a great game might end up there myself but the mighty PNG is coming to Town. [/quote]I just don't think 19-4A will be as weak this year, not as strong as 20-4A, but about 2 teams will make them earn it.

Silsbee 24 Newton 23 Toss up! Will be a great to attend, could be a 52-52 overtime game.

Jasper 49 WOS 25 Saw Jasper play Livingston, they have a good solid team on both side of ball, enough talent to give any team trouble in 3A.

Nederland 28 Vidor 21 Good 3rd and 4th team district  20-4A matchup.

Magnolia West has good looking team will make playoffs, Willis truly over rated, game should have been 45-21 Magnolia west. Running back for Magnolia looks good just need to learn to protect the ball, had 4 fumbles. Beter team than Humble who is over rated as well. Magnolia is solid on both sides of ball should get better as season go on. Other than # 20 the running back they lack speed. 

Hope you're right LionsFan, but come Sept 23 there will be no more excuses for this kind of defense. If its not fixed or if they are not holding back until then, it is going to be a long season!! 8) 8) 8) 8) 8)

Livingston still hasn't found any defense, looks like it's gonna be a long year. I don't think the coaches have any ideal of how to play the defense they have installed. Better defensive backs, worst linebackers, even though their best linebacker did not play. Fair defensive line with no help from linebackers. Who knows maybe the coaches have some better plans than this: fire the defensive coaches and start over! 8) 8) 8) 8) ;D ;D ;D ;D You can't beat good teams without defense.

8) 8) 8) 8) 8) The truth is, wish we could get to play better teams early. Like only good 4A and 5A teams. Saw the Yates/Washington game neither one impress me.

Livingston looked like it was their first game but won anyhow.  They have some things that need to be worked on that are fixable very easy. They played no where close to the talent they have, but should come out playing better each week. They will be tough to beat this year. 8) 8) 8) 8) 8)

Silsbee 34 Lumberton 7 Lumberton in rebuilding year maybe they will benefit from these tough games.

Magnolia West 31 Willis 24 Looks like a good one might attend this one.
