Some coaches like a 1 team per city aspect of it. Look at Todd Dodge when he came back to hs level… he easily could have had a better job than Marble Falls but he took it because of that aspect. Heard from numerous coaches that’s one of their check list on applying for a HC job.

Oh yeah no doubt, but I am sure PNG can afford him. Plus being a AD too will help out a lot. I think he just may be only head coach/ campus coordinator.

You are exactly right, you won’t get any argument from me when nederland got throttled by Marshall, but that Nederland team wasn’t doing much. Some of Nederland’s great teams that maybe could do it, we went deep into the playoffs and lost to the team that was moving up next year/ already had the big school numbers on the first year of alignment. Someone on here a few years ago (can’t remember who) compared PNG and Nederland playoff opponents losses during a stretch and most of the teams we lost too moved up the next alignment…. 7A would help out on the playing field.

I think that moves Splendora up and vidor being very close.. if not moved up to 5A…

I somewhat agree to this but that 5A Div 2 number is crazy high vs all the divisions. I mean from the smallest to the biggest is almost a 700 kid difference… with a 7A that number will obviously come down a lot and that’s when you will really see SETX benefit the most imo.

PNG Nederland Vidor LCM and Lumberton just might all be back together again once 7A comes around… maybe in 2 years. ..

If PNG job becomes available it is going to bring in some big names across the state just like last time…

Interesting. What is peevey making at LCM and Faircloth at PNG? PNG has more money than LCM so I don’t think they would mind matching and more to get him to jump on board. All across the board PNG is better than LCM with facilities, athletics, booster club and etc.
