This plus, tons of connects through out the state of Texas... I think it’s a great fit for both parties... he gets to show his shot and worthy at the College Level being a head coach. Great morals, younger then last and energetic, comes with a lot less criticism than a Briles hire, and all the kids seem to love and respond to him well. Hopefully Lamar can do it

I’m thinking we will have the smallest district in the region..

District 10 loses 2, Cleveland and Katy Paetow, I’m almost for sure they take KPark in that district but it would be interesting to see if they put Crosby in that district then put Texas City and Santa Fe in our district.. but with Manvel leaving district 11 I would assume they will replace them with either Texas City or Santa Fe but that would suck for either or because they are towns right next to each other so I assume they try and keep them too together.. Lindale dropping down to 4A.. Huntsville could possibly go to District 9..

I think Santa Fe get moved to Manvels old district... kingwood Park might be moved to Huntsville district to replace Cleveland... more I look at it I am thinking we will have the least amount teams in reg 3 in our district.. time will tell though

Nederland and PNG used to always schedule Dayton, BH, Crosby, GCM in predistrict knowing we will likely play them again and if we didn’t we had a common opponent with film to go by...

LCM and Lumberton both went 2 rounds deep, Carthage is going down, Reg 3 Div 1 is kinda open in my eyes. Vidor hung tough in 5A, they are going to a lot less competitive district, the writing is on the wall is for them to be very competitive and excel greatly at the 4A level. But that’s my honest opinion,

Agreed, but I think he learned from them. Lane and his 1 yr at Tennessee, to all the stunts he pulled at usc, then when he was at Bama, was told not to show up for national championship game.. pretty big deal. But we will see, to bad they can’t Gus back there I feel bad for him because every year at Auburn looks like he will get fired rumor starts up, that’s got to be hard on him and his family year after year

What about Kendal Briles... young, explosive proven offenses, has tons of Texas ties, I’m sure his dad can help reach out too... could be a great fit if he wins you know he’s going to move up and can’t blame the man but Lamar could be the school that gives him that chance to be a head coach

Ehhh.. that hire will come with a lot of baggage. I don’t think he will fit well there, I would roll with Steve Sarkisian over Kiffin IMO
