Really, playing at Reliant is special. We are 2-1 there. Oh, you mean we shouldn't breathe the same air? Dude, who are you trying to kid? You can tell you are from Dawson.....probably a player. 22-19
Son your team got lucky.. Leave it at that.. Have fun losing next week.. I might bring you some tissues for your tears.
Do we need to bring you tissue paper? All you are doing is trying to sink a team down to your level. We won fair and square, now take the loss and move on.
 2. Did DemDAWGS make a new account? But really Dawson had a bunch of talent that was raw. Uncoached and Cocky. Nederland is not as athletic as Dawson, but we showed great discipline. The better TEAM won, not the most talented. Good luck to Dawson next year, and lets keep on keepin on NED.
 3.
one of my co-workers said that her son and some other Dogs met Watt and Foster in the weight room at Reliant on Monday before practice and they were really cool with the kids, cutting up and talking game and really down to earth.  Pretty exciting for HS kids... He told his mom, that if you think Watt looks big on TV, you can't imagine how big he is in person.
Andre Johnson walked right by my seats and the guy is huge! Foster is not that big though.
 4. All respect to Vidor. But they could not beat Dawson. Dayton probably and PC maybe. They had a great season and just ran into a team that did what they needed to do.
 5. Arian Foster was there as well. I am not certain if JJ Watt was over on the Dawson side.
 6. Stampley and Wood hands down. Two of the best linebackers to walk through Nederland. They have the skill and brains to become special, not just in HS but College.
 7. I got to admit it, I have been on his tail for the last 2 years. Carson has shut me up and made me proud to have him as our QB. He is doing what he needs to do and when he needs to do it. Good job Carson and good luck next week.
 8. I'm not certain of anything, but he did go back out there for a couple of plays. Nothing serious by the looks of it. Hope nothing is wrong, we need him.
Most of them did not make the playoffs as well.
. Actually, 2 made the playoffs and 2 didnt
LCM, Central, and PNG. None of them made the playoffs.

 11. Dannis Latioles OT for Ned will be out tomorrow. Should see Del Felrieo in for him.
 12.
Dawson 34-20.
I think you may be in for a surprise come tomorrow. All the players talk about is getting after Dawson, they remember what happened last year and will not let it happen again.
 13.
Wow that was some good explosive tackles and love how the whole D swarms to the ball very quick reminds me a lot like Nederland D
WOS defense is faster than Ned's, but Ned's is bigger and stronger. Overall two great defenses.
 14. Dawson is our biggest test, but not by much. We went to Angleton in terrible weather and injuries and almost won. That team is in the third round. Honestly I think we are Dawson's biggest test this season so far as well. Gonna be one heck of a game.
 15.
Ned lacked intensity...played as if their minds were somewhere else, only playing well in spurts....got out hussled....got out rebounded....were timid with outside shots.....missed layups and freethrows.....mishandled the ball....and our big man certainly did not play big tonite. Having said all that they still took WB to OT. IMO Ned biggest hurdle lies in regaining our confidence, desire, and intensity.
When ever football ends the post should become a lot better. Three guys over 6 foot coming from football.
 16.
Yes Washington may not be the starting TE, but that's because he is a starter on the D line. He is however a load at TE. Very physical blocker and can catch an carry people for xtra yardage. I thought he was the difference in MCM his Soph. Year. Wherever they lined him up they ran behind him and had great success, plus he kept us honest by catching a couple passes, maybe one for a TD?? or big 1st down can't remember for sure.
Yes he is a very effective Tight End. We only use him now as like a 6th lineman. But like you said, he can catch passes. Just Contreras and Stewart are better Tight Ends that can be used in more ways.
 17.
Washington from nederland was a beast!
He is the backup TE
 18. Special Teams is going to be a huge roll. Noel is going to be automatic, and kick off coverage is going to need to improve some. Taylor is going to need to make smart decisions on returns, one not so smart one could end in bad field position or a turnover.
 19.
Just wondering what is so great about Duplant? I have heard his name for a few yrs. So why did he not play last yr? Is he the guy that moved and played in Vidor on the JV team?
He got kicked off the team last year because of off the field issues. And didn't he win district mvp as a sophomore?
 20.
Let me get this right!  HJ beat Nederland! Central blew out HJ! And Nederland is ranked #12 in the state? While Central is ranked #25 in the state? As I always say rankings don't win championships!
Not making any excuses but 3 of Nederland's big boys are in football. And are not allowed to even touch a basketball court till after football.
 21. Zach Taylor possibly.. He is bound to bring back a return sometime. He almost got one last year against dawson. Watch out he might bring one back.
 22.
Will they be selling tickets @ Reliant? Or do I need to drive up the road to PD's place to get them before friday? I gotta make this game, it's gonna be a gooood one. Then, It's off to Gupton Stadium sat morning to see our 'Cats play! Then, pro ball on sun. My w/e will be spent watching lots of high quality HS and NFL football!  ;D ;D ;D The Cat's owe PD a whippin' too after last year's quarter final game, so GO BIG NED!!!
They will be selling tickets at the gate for $13. Idk about Dawson High School, but in Nederland you can buy tickets at the school. Students $7 and Adult $10. It should be the same over there.
 23. Miss watching Micah play. He was a great running back.
 24.
What was going on with the NED "D" when they gave up 250+ rushing yards to Goose Creek, Angleton & Vidor?
Vidor led the whole state of Texas in rushing. Over 400 yards per game on the ground.. and we hold them inthe 200-300 range. Angleton also known as a running team. They just hung up about 70 in  a play off game with rushing. They only scored i think three tds on offense against Nederland. GC was the second game of the year.. We are way better right now compared to back then.
