PNG did pretty good against Vidor and we know that Vidor only runs, so I don't think PNG not being able to stop the run is a valid argument.

As I said on the other thread, that's a pretty sweet stadium.

Do any teams still have real animals for mascots?  And I vaguely remember in the late 80s/early 90s a team from this area having a big cat in a cage.  Was it Central?  Am I dreaming this?

It is always neat to play a team you've never played before.  That also means that you really don't know what is going to happen until the game is played. :)

I appreciate and thank all of the Veterans and their families who sacrifice to do what their country asks them to do.  My dad is a Vietnam vet and my husband is an Operation Iraqi Freedom vet.

I know my dad has gone to Vidor games during losing seasons in Baytown, LaPorte, Deer Park, LaMarque, etc. and gotten up at 3:30 AM the next morning to go to work.  And this was not during the years my brothers were playing.  I know he'd drive across the state to see Vidor in a playoff game no matter how much work he had to miss.

[/quote] I said it was a horrible thing, but that it happens everywhere and knows no race or class.  I know plenty of people in PA who are not thugs, but they have their fair share, as does Beaumont and Vidor and everywhere else.
