[/quote] First of all, I am no daddy.  Secondly, they only one stirring a pot is you.  People ARE judged by their actions, not their words.  They can care all they want, but until it is shown, it means absolutely nothing.

Taking a knee when there is a player down is the classy thing to do.  No doing it to prove some idiotic point is *stupid *Mod edit for language*

Vidor allows non-starters to play when the game is in hand and does not run up the score.  The score of the game is not an accurate indicator of defensive ability.

15, 16, 17, 18 years old...that is old enough to do what is RIGHT no matter what you are told to do. People from PNG are the type of people who refuse to pull to the side of the road when an ambulance is trying to get through because they are much too important to be inconvenienced in any kind of way.

[/quote] No, I would only be happy if they disbanded their school, period.  And I have many people who went to many schools in the area who agree.  I even had a PNG graduate at my house last night agreeing that the people who go there are arrogant, obnoxious, and lack class.

I don't think Nederland's style is to run up the score on people either, so 28 points was more than sufficient.

Central, 24-7

Hell, Vidor won a state title in the 60s, the year my dad graduated.  If it isn't this year, it really doesn't mean squat.  This IS high school, after all.

You can't really judge Vidor's defense by the other team's points, especially when they go up by a lot early.  You'll notice Central's scores came at the end of the game.  Mathew's isn't the type of guy to run up the score, he lets everyone play.  Class.  Something PNG wouldn't know anything about.

[/quote] That is a nice gesture, however, that does not change years of slights by PNG.  I do not like the school, period.  If the situation were reversed, I would be saddened, as well because it is the loss of a child and that is something no one should ever have to experience. And it is odd how they think Vidor is full of poor country folk.  There are an awful lot of poor people in Groves.

With other schools, it is about the game and all in good fun.  With PNG, there is a genuine hatred.

Vidor always had great fans, even with winning 0, 1, or 2 games for years...

PNG will be having a terrible Homecoming then.

I don't hate any school other than PNG.  I don't particularly like Ozen or Nederland, but my feelings on them are far from hate.  Central has always been a very classy school.  No problems with Lumberton or LCM.  I can't recall any other school we've played even when we were in 5A that I have ever had any issues with.

I went to Vidor games when they were 0-10.  And guess what, I hated PNG even then.
