Correct, you never assume an out will be made or that a base runner would've scored...etc. But if a fair / foul call is clearly missed, why wouldn't the runner stay at 3rd, but the batter who hit the ball fair and is clearly safe, is ruled to stay at 1st? That would seem to be the same as allowing the runner in your football analogy, to gain the yardage at the point the whistle was blown, not go back to the line of scrimmage because an official made an error? Just curious, doesn't matter at this point.

Why do you have to stick with the original call of foul if it was ABSOLUTELY, 100% the wrong call??? That's about the most ridiculous thing I've read on the internet in the past 5 minutes. Question for the umpires on the board from a mechanics standpoint, but is fair or foul the home plate umpires responsibility until it gets to the bag, and the base umpires call past the bag? Cardinal Backer, curious if you know how NISD did in managing their previous bond... were they over / on / under budget? This will be a larger scope, but past performance is the only indicator we have for how they money will get managed. I think they have a good idea of the overall cost, There is plenty of reliable historical data for schools being built to provide a good budget. Just my thoughts.

Yeah, the athletic program at Nederland has really fallen apart without that Masters degree in place.

All sports and extra-cirriculars that use the high school stadium. Football, boys and girls soccer, the band will have a dry place to march after our monsoons, same with Westernaires, twirlers, flags...etc. The boys and girls basketball gyms have had money put in them, along with the baseball and softball fields. In a previous bond, NISD built a first class Performing Arts Center at the high school for choir/band/theater... it's time to upgrade the football stadium if any money is going to be spent above the schools that are priority.
