That was the worst qtr of offensive football of the year -

So the crappy offensive 2qtr performance overall doesn't bother you, just not scoring there at the end? -

Nederland has not been god enough on offense to rest starters on the o-line, I'm assuming C. Brown is hurting? -
PORT NECHES-GROVES AT VIDOR BROADCAST/Vidor wins 49-13!!

Nederland would force more.mistakes and convert again, Nederland is the best team in 204A this year, that is certain, only question is are they the best team in 194a, that will be decided in week 11 -

If Nederland played Vidor again, the Dogs would win by more, D. wash would be full time on defense and the O line would have two straight games under their belt, the outcome would NOT be different and likely worse. These Dogs get up for big games... and they will have one come week 11 we will be ready . -
MCM Post-game thoughts thread

BarrowS knows Nederland will need more than a running game in the playoffs, you can't flip the switch for a passing game in week 11. Come on? -
I can understand a mass exodus, I'm saying I was surprised it wasn't packed when the game started and into the first quarter. That's a first for me, not seeing a standing room only crowd.
-
Nederland has it's own fairweather fans, everyone does. But, I have been to LOTS of MCM games, and I've never seen the PNG not full before the game started... that was a first for me.
-
This is a stupid thread. Stop it, time to move along, Nederland has work to do if they want to make it out of the first round against either Dayton or S.Creek. This game almost wasn't any fun, they had no crowd, we played sloppy. Let's just move along and focus on next week.

Lots of great ballplayers are just there, I stand by my statement, kid had a coming out party, he showed how good he is. If you don't show it, it's tough to just talk about how good someone is. Bordelon stepped up and showed he can play some big time football. Good job kid.
-
Nope, they ain't handing it out, we're coming to take it, ain't nothing you can do about it
-
Jace Bordelon, little coming out party for the soph, 2 TD catches and an interception, ballplayer!. Dogs up 16-6

Stats are ALWAYS what the loser points to, decades and a half of DOMINANCE, that's what it is!

Top 4 things I love about Big Ned
NDOMAKONG replied to NDNation's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
What does it say when Nederland's down to their 4th string QB and Faircloth had an undefeated district championship... and in that game Nederland played em tough. Only game Faircloth's beat Neumann in. There should never be a discussion about who has the better coaching. -
Vidor 8 grade A VS Groves 8 grade A

I believe Central beat Groves pretty soundly last week. -
I think Smitty's infatuation and Neumann are the same age, or close, around 60ish.
He sure had time for it 4 years ago when LaMarque came a callin'. ;D
I didn't say he was an idiot. Plus, that really did him wrong didn't it. Man the community kicked him to the curb for that one... seriously, the guy is a straight up winner, a straight shooter, and you don't stay in one place this long without being at the top of everything that makes a great AD. Either way, when Neumann leaves, he's been grooming his replacement in my opinion, we won't skip a beat.

You might want to erase the last 15 years, at least as far Nederland goes. :)
I'm fine with y'all having those fifteen years. If we erase those, we erase some of our own best seasons (1999, 2003, 2007, 2009 and 2010 come to mind). Besides, it'll take at least 15 more for Nederland to catch up to us in MCM, and Neumann has to retire some time. ;D
You can always hope :)
How old is Neumann, anyways? He's got to be in the mid to late 50s.
Don't know, but if he's like Hooks, he might coach into his 70s.
Depends. Once you get past the 40 year mark in Texas public education, it's costing you money to stay on payroll because of the way the retirement system is structured. If he sticks around, it'll solely be for the love of the game.
Not true. They take your best three year average. My mother has passed the 40 year mark and is still going strong.
Yes, and they give you 2.3% of that average for every year you work. But there comes a point where the retirement salary exceeds the active salary minus payroll taxes (it's either the 40 year mark or the 41). So in that sense, you actually take a pay raise by retiring, which conversely means you're losing money by not retiring after that point.
Neumann don't have time for that kind of math, he's got game plans to put together and film to watch.

My bad on starting the record attendance discussion, it was meant in jest, but there are a lot of folks who aren't able to Jest.
There's no offense taken here, and none intended towards you (or anyone else, for that matter). I agree with your statement; PN-G, just like every other fan base, is going to find out who's a fairweather fan and who's not during bad years. But bigdog is saying PN-G fans keep bringing this up like it's the only thing we have to tout. My only point in relation to you was that it wasn't a PN-G fan who brought it up.
Yep, there are some who seem to rise up to kick you when you're down. I should not have commented, this is a tough year for PNG. No sense in me piling on, my bad. And you are right, we Ned fans brought it up or at least I did. Maybe some subconscious attendance envy.

Not popular to make that statement, but straight up the truth.
