Shaw is a game changer for Nederland.  He scored 3 TD's, but the most impressive play of the night was when he closed 10 yards on the GCM qb on their TD before the end of the 1st half.  How fast is that kid, 10 yards in that short of a field is pretty impressive.

D Washington Nederland, time will prove him to be the best and most dominant force on defense in se Texas.  Mark it down.  Sick thing is, there are two others who could lay the same claim, and the fourth would star on EVERY d line in se Texas.  That's how good that d line is.  Reap it.

Smitty can you tell me how good Crosby was, I know you're a Nederland fan and could tell us how the defense looked and what the competition was like.  We were supposed to be going up against so much speed our kids neck would get wrenched watching them go by... was that the case?

You either trust Fair cloth to do the right thing or you don't. I think he's a good coach, everybody calling for personnel changes on a public forum are working AGAINST the PNG program and that famous tradition.  My opinion knock it off and let the man do HIS job that HE'S accountable for.

Ned fans don't get so over the top after one game, story was the building is crumbling a week ago, so you can't be living in the Taj mahal this week.  Keep a low profile, let it happen and it will.  Let's keep this defense on the downlow, remind everyone of the Dayton scrimmage, Crosby just had a bad night.  Heads down get back to work.

At Nederland, when people say that scrimmages are just for getting work in and tinkering with personnel... maybe people will listen.  Goodness, that was a DOMINATING defensive performance.  The offense is still a work in progress, and will continue to improve, but you can hang your  hat on that defense.  Let slip the Dawgs of War.

Just going to but in here, but Nederland and most all high school programs in Texas hire in the same fashion as you're complaining about in OF. My suggestion would be to move to another state, prolly a coupla hundred miles north as this is TEXAS and FOOTBALL is KING.  You ain't changing that.

I need to see more from LCM, they had a very rough Brenham tournament which saw them play their first significant programs.  You've got some other top programs playing very well in big time 5A tournaments, so the jury's still out for me.

165 for a playoff spot, or for game 3 of a playoff series, or a state championship... those "MAY" be up for discussion if the kid was still strong.  165 in an early season non-district bullstuff tune-up, is IGNORANCE of the game.  That's just plain and simple, there should be much more to discuss here.  And, I would also point out that most pitching instruction during the week has existing pitches off a mound considered in their training program.  Throwing from flat ground between starts is needed and is in no way comparable to 165 reps off a mound. 

Gonna be sick when we roll up another soccer, baseball, then football and basketball again next year... gonna get kinda demoralizing in my opinion so congrats on the COOOOO championship.
