In game adjustments on D…critical

I’m impressed. O-line getting after it. They’re playing their hearts out. They are dominating SV D so far.

I said it before that TD.. Throw the ball..this play..money!! Lovin the play calling.

It’s going to be a great game. I think PAM can pull it off. I keep harping on coaching, but it’s the reality of the matter. At this stage in the playoffs, talent alone won’t get you the dub. I have to give it to Morgan and co. they’ve been doing a great job thus far. Today is a true test. SV like every other team that has played PAM will key in on the run.. The difference between SV and the others… SV truly has the personnel to stuff it. In game adjustments are going to be critical. I believe they get the job done. Good luck players and coaches.

The day is here, the anticipation is over, the fans are pump, the players are ready to lace em up, the stage is set, and the show will commence shortly. It’s an exciting day round PA today. Really looking forward to this game. All excuses are out the window and there’s no other option than to leave it all on the field. I know the players will. …and I hope Morgan and staff are ready as well. With all due respect to BH, they just don’t have the athletes to match up with PAM. But, there’s the other variable…coaching. I give PAM coaching credit, they have definitely stepped their game up this year. I don’t believe I’ve seen better coaching than this year from this staff. But, it’s not over. The last few games is where coaching is critical.. They must be on their game. Really.. The only downfall I see…which it’s been worst in previous years.. They take too long to make adjustments in game and they try to force it. Basically, if they are stuffing the run… Open up the playbook and keep them honest. Catch em with a screen or play action…make them back off a bit.. Other than that…I think PAM is well rounded and has the potential to win it all. It’s down to 3 games. The only on that matters right now is today.. Good luck players and staff. Believe in yourself and believe that you are the best this year…until proven otherwise…

I texted my brother th following text during the game. “Their downfall is.. They stick to the run too much. I know it’s their bread and butter, but you have got to mix more pass in. They gonna run into teams that will shut down the run game and they have to be legit passing the ball. With no in game practice..when you are force to throw it it’s gonna be trash. They have a passing game…but it’s the playoff now…you’re not gonna be able to throw it like you have been.. More pressure better teams…you NEED to get better.. I know it’s one game at a time…But they are not a passing team so they need the practice… I texted him the following text after the game. ”Good win.. Like I said.. Coaching is suspect when it comes to adjusting in game.. I hate to see this team go down because of bad play calling. The team is there. If they don’t win state is because of coaching.. They’ve been legit all season..even pretty damn good in some games.. But it’s different here.. It’s the playoffs.. It comes down to the few elite teams.. With that said.. I hope they prove me wrong.. I hope they can adjust better next game, the next, etc..” I share that to say this. The coaching has been legit this year. It has definitely impressed me. It has been superior to previous years under this regime. It’s been a very long time since I haven’t watch a Memorial game. Whether in person or streaming. Coaching this year..has been legit. The players themselves are pretty darn good, if you ask me. My one critical concern is the in game adjustments. When the d keys in on the run they don’t open up the playbook. I get it, it’s their game, but you CANNOT be so one dimensional. Perfect example..you get down against a potent offense. The d stopping the run.. You are not just magically gonna have your pass plays in game on q.. Need to build up to that..and they are not. Just my personal opinion. I like PA’s chances though. I wanna get proved wrong and see this team win state. They are legit. Those boyz deserve it. They can’t do it alone though.

Who would’ve thought? Wow. This cannot be acceptable. At the end of the day.. You’re failing those athletes, those young men that put on those pads. They are the students and if you have a teacher that doesn’t know how to lead.. How do you expect them to succeed? Coaches are graded on Ws Ls, and when those Ls come at the most critical times (playoffs)..then you start to realize that.. You know what..maybe they are just not up to the task. Maybe they just don’t have what it takes.. Move on..coaches come and go.. It’s the nature of that job. I’m pretty sure you ask any coach and they can say...they know what it is. You win everyone loves you..you lose..you gotta go. Harsh. Yes. But it is what it is. I’m not saying I ME MYSELF can do any better..because of course. I’m not a coach. But I’m sure there’s a more capable coach somewhere out there.. Just waiting for the opportunity to take over the reigns of a school with the caliber athletes Memorial has. It’s time to move on.

What a game. Memorial forgot to get on the bus. Overwhelming lack of preparation and heart. Coaches game plan…was.. Non-existent..not even sure what it was. They couldn’t get anything going on offense.. They didn’t want that game man. They went in there unprepared. That’s on the coaches. Big time. The players..lacked the will to wanna win…lacked concentration. They were not focused out there. The defense..wow. They made y’all look bad out there. What happened? Y’all have to be better than that. It’s only one week. But the way of defeat…is inexcusable. It’s all done now though. Turn the page and on to next week. The team as a whole needs to really get it together..quick. Credit to the Hill. They went out there and took care of business. They hit PA with a left then a right…and just kept swinging..lol. Memorial couldn’t do anything about it. Great job to you guys.

It’s going to be a good game. Memorial..honestly.. Y’all just have to play y’all’s caliber type game. Nothing extra..nothing outta the norm..just play your game. You all ARE the better team. Regardless of anybody’s opinion. Y’all are the team ranked 4th in the state. Cut out all the chatter.. Leave it for us.. Go out there focused, play hard, play smart, just simply..play your game. Comes down to… How bad do you want it??

This was a nice solid win. Saw a lot of good things throughout the game. On the same note. I saw a lot of things that there’s work to be done on (even with the score, it can be deceiving considering how bad GCM is). Overall though, great solid team win. Regardless of the score…nothing to brag about here. You simply did your job. What you are expected to do.. Nothing to celebrate. Simple district win on the way to bigger things. Take the lessons and on to the next. Not saying don’t be proud of the win, but you have bigger fish to prepare and be ready for than to lose focus over a win on a team like this. Little mistakes are far more scrutinized when it’s a tight close game against a solid opponent.. GREAT JOB…ON TO THE. NEXT.

Indeed it was. Memorial flipped the switch after the recovered KO fumble. You could feel it on the first drive. They only managed a FG, but you knew there were about to start cookin’.. It was on after the fumble..

Underdog?? That makes sense…you were actually rooting for LaPorte.. It’s really what you meant to say. THEY WERE THE UNDERDOGS… Piece of advice…don’t put too much stock into games played or opponents. Every team plays each team different… That’s why bad teams beat good teams all the time. Crosby just hates on PA..it’s natural…it’s ok.. We’ve accepted it…that’s the way it’s always gonna be…lol

It’s ok to point out they’re flaws and mess ups…but you can’t go making assumptions.. You just never know..
