It all depends on which SP club shows up.The Sharks should win this one easily and need to start putting some good games together because they start counting on friday.

A lot of the kids don't realize the total package it takes to play at the D1 level.I really believe Roman Walker would have been a legitimate D1 prospect had he not injured his knee last year.He could have developed in to a 3 guard because he could handle the ball real well,play great defense and shoot the mid and long range jumper pretty well.Devin plays good defense but will have to work on his ball handling and will have to develope an outside shot if we plays at the D1 level.

I saw the EC club at the HJ tourney lose to Huntington,LCM and look very mediocre in a couple of wins.If that's the good EC they are in trouble.

This will be a good game to get Spurger ready for the district and playoff grind.They won't see another club with this amount of athletisism the rest of this year.If they stay out of foul trouble I think it will be a 20 point ballgame.I'm goinglike this. Silsbee-85 Spurger-65

It will definitely fire up folks as long as the team that does the deed gets back on defense.In the games where Kountze lost to HJ the Lions were caught celebrating while the Hawks pushed the ball and scored on the other end.

This one won't resemble any of the recent years.Kountze is a little better than they have been the past couple of years and EC is down a little. Kountze-92 EC-52

Devin probably needs to go to a good JUCO to not only work on parts of his game but also to mature.I'm not surprised that Lamar is recruitng him however but they haven't done a very good job recruiting lately.You only have to look as far down the LU bench as Ashton to see the difference in the game at these levels.Hall was a great high school player with all the tools but even before the injuries he struggled on the D1 scene.

No need to apologize to me infamous, I don't have a dog in this fight ,just an observer.The Sharks are gonna have to get some consistancy or they could be subject to an upset any night.Not to mention a very short post season stay.I've said it since last summer,this club has a ton of potential but you have to play to your potential or your just another club.I hope they do reach their potential because I enjoy watching them and even supported them last year when they played Normangee in the playoffs.

I think you missed the point of my post.It wasn't only about fresh legs but the overall ability of the players.EC has about 8 players with pretty equal abilities.They simply don't have a stand out offensive guy that can carry the club.I think that's why the coach is working the line up like he is,to be able to stay aggressive on the defensive end where he gets most of his points.EC's strength this year is their coaching staff,they will take them as far as possible withe the talent they have.I think that will be the 3rd playoff spot which would be a successful season for this group.

Hate to lose him but he deserves everything he gets.Had the opportunity to visit with his mom and dad last year at the doctors office.Really nice down to earth folks.

I agree with you that Hunter would be the best PG in the district, not even another one close but the club overall isn't even in the same league as the the one that had Daniel Marsh and Jordan Nolan on it.

The Sharks are very inconsistant this year which is unusual for a senior ball club unless they are having trouble on the point.I haven't seen them play yet this season but they were a good point guard away from being a really good club last year.

25 you told me early in the season this club was better than the one Marsh and Nolan played on.I gotta disagree if they only beat Warren by 7 they can't be anywhere close to that group.This Warren club has struggled big time this season.

Yes prep took them to overtime  ??? ??? The Sharks better get their act together or they may get upset by some district foes.

Both of Kountzes big kids 15 and 25 are good players.If I had to guess I say they both go JUCO early in their collegiate careers and then move on up if they develope.Similiar to what Busby and Powell did a few years back though I'm not sure where those 2 are now.I think this will be Kountzes closest district game.

The talent level overall for the area is down somewhat this year so I don't think we will have any D1 signees.The JUCO door will definitely be open for the 2 kids from Kountze.If Walker hadn't hurt his knee he would have been a legitimate prospect because he has all the tools.These 2 can both jump out of the gym but are under sized to play the post in college and don't handle the ball well enough to go D1 right out of high school.That being said they could both refine their game somewhere like Baytown or Angelina and then step in to the big arena.

Amen.They are the most unpredictable club in the area this year, BUT, they have tons of potential when they get it going.

The coach at EC knows his players and has always gotten the most out of them.I've seen them play several times this year and there isn't much difference in his first 7 or 8 players,He is probably trying to keep fresh legs on the floor and score off the defense because he doesn't have a dominate offensive threat.That will keep you in most games except when the other team has better atheletes as Kountze and Anahuac do.If the Bucs get in the playoffs this will be a successful season for them.Have faith in your coach,he knows his stuff.

That's not good for the Bucs playoff prospects.

Anahuac always has some good Atheletes and Coach West will get everything they have to offer.No disrespect to EC but they just aren't real strong this year.They will have to bring there "A" game to get the 3rd spot since this loss was at Winnie.If they make the playoffs I don't see them going past the 1st round.JMO

Ricossa is a huge part of the HJ puzzle.I think they beat NW with a healthy Ricossa but I would have to give the Lions the edge in a head to head matchup if Ricossa doesn't play.All that doesn't matter though both games have already been played.

They don't pull much of a crowd for the #2 team in the nation.
