I think they were 4-8 in district,finished pretty low.Once they lost Bland it wasn't pretty.

Big kid on the sideline was #48 Montana Laurent.He will defitely help when he gets healthy.He had a severely sprained ankle to start the season and now has a twisted knee.He plays some fullback and linebacker.Pretty solid player when he's healthy.

Sims can certainly bust the open 3 ,but the biggest improvement to his game the last 2 years has been off the dribble.Kid is 6'3" and can pull up and shoot it over lots of folks.Also went to the line over 100 times last year and hit 82% of his free throws so a lot of his shots were in traffic.He and Copeland are both in keeping with the topic "pure shooters" with excellent form.Jackson is a scorer but doesn't have a pure shooters touch.He is a solid ballplayer though.

Good job Warriors.Defense looked like they have all year.Huge game by McBee and Hulett .Lots of depth tonight I didn't know we had.Really nice game by Blackshear on the offensive side.Tough field conditions made the passing game almost non existant.Congrats on the week 1 W!!!!!

This year may be interesting.EC will be very good with Thomas and McDonald returning.I had the opportunity to watch Silsbee several times this summer and they are gonna be fun to watch this year.I would have to pick Silsbee because it looks like they are a little deeper.The Shannon vs Tramain show will be one I will pay to watch.

Glad to hear Kevin is healthy.I hope the pirates do well this season.I think they will be better but I don't think speed is gonna be there game.To be successful they will have to use Bland inside where he can get some boards.Did Jimmy play with them at Beaumont last month?I know he was hurt last year and missed the season.I like to see everyone in our district play well, it makes for some real fun games to watch.

Yep, it's her nephew, she was a real hooper.I hear she was glad when the bottom came out of the peach basket ;D ;D ;D Just kidding the lady was the best women's player I ever saw in a time when the womens game wasn't getting the press it gets now.A lot of todays players owe some of those ladies for bringing the sport to it's current level.Coach Sims,Coach Cruz-WH,Rosetta(her sister)not sure where she is now and Jimmie Daniels(another WH grad) they could all play.

They will be competetive as long as Bland stays healty(heard thru the grapevine he broke a foot during a summer game) not sure about that.They will miss Bass tremendously as he was there best overall player.Jackson is a solid player but may struggle with his size against some of the bigger guards in the district.If Bland plays they will win some ballgames,without him it may be a long season.I don't see a playoff season in Deweyville in basketball but thats why they play the games.Their football club may be a horse of a different color.They will be pretty good.

After watching several good kickers last year in 24-aa just wondering who has the better one this year.This an often overlooked position but has a huge impact on the game.Warren's record last year would have been 8-2 had they been able to kick the extra points.I hear Kountze has a good one again,who else???

They won't be bad but there not in the same class with HJ or Silsbee.They may battle for the 3rd spot if the players come out.They have a lot of athletes in Jasper.

I wouldn't question someone with a record like Coach Barbay.Probably the other kids kinfolks doing the talking.

That's an extremely tough question to answer.There are alot of teams that have what it takes that never make it.I personaaly think it's a lot harder to make it there than it is to win it.For example last year I think West Hardin was better than most of the 1-a teams that were there.They had a bad game in the regional finals and didn't get the chance to prove it.Big Sandy has all the pieces if they get the breaks.

They will be pretty solid.They graduated 1 guard that will be hard to replace.They are also in an extremely tough district.Marsh will make them very competetive as well as Nolan.
