I'm not sure there is a power back this year 24-aa.Warren's power back graduated.The kids running it this year will be pretty fast and will do a good job but I dont think they would consider themselves power backs.The kids from Hardin fit the same mold,they are pretty quick but I don't see them running over folks.Buna had a pretty tough kid last year who I think was coming back,not sure of his name but he would be my pick.

I heard Warren had 1 hospitalized today with heat exhaustion.Hopefully this tropical system will make it bearable.

Hardin was very good last year but I thought they graduated several players.If they did Kountze will be the favorite.They were decent alst year and very young.On the girls side this thing is wide open with all of em being pretty close.

I agree Semper WH will be a pretty rough place to coach this year.I personally didn't know anything about Coach Westfalls basketball record.It will just be hard to be the man in both sports and not get off to slow start.Tyler has the potential to be the best basketball player to come out of WH.It's unfortunate he doesn't have the supporting cast that Brandon did.I wish Coach Fuller would have stayed,I enjoyed watching his club play last year several times.In the coaching ranks you gotta move when the resume is hot.Good luck to the Oilers this year.

1-EC Speed ,Speed, and oh yeah Speed. 2-Buna Good club but Tramain plays for EC. 3-Warren The schedule favors them this year.They get Deweyville and Hardin at home. 4-Deweyville-Toss up between them and Warren,homefield gets the edge. 5-Kountze-most dangerous team in the district.Could easily make the playoffs. 6-Anahuac-New coach,new system.Will be better but it won't be overnight. 7-Hardin-Good new coach.Didn't see enough physical play for them to win.

Westfall is the football coach.It sure is late to get an experienced coach.Gotta feel for Tyler.

Yes I was talking about BS having a very good big kid,depth and a good coach.That's why I make them my favorite.Spurger has a solid post player but are still very young,they will be a regional contender but it's going to be a couple years down the road.The interesting part about playing in HD and Spurger usually comes from the officiating.I've seen really good teams go in to both places and barely escape with victories.Doesn't seem to matter who they are playing they get the benefit of the calls.On the other hand I quess most schools do that or it may just seem that way.

2 completely different kinds of players.Bernard has all the tools if he learns to share the ball.Burrell will be great at his role.I've also been impressed this summer with Fontenot and Jacoby.Back to topic though Jarvis is a top 10 player.

They will win 24-a this year.They could go undefeated in district but you never know ,going to HD and Spurger can get interesting.They have a very good big kid and a ton of depth on the perimeter plus a super coach.I'll agree with CATMAN I think a regional berth could be in the works.

I think he's saying don't overlook D-Ville Warren ,Kountze or Hardin or you just may get beat.What am I missing about Anahuac.They lost their best running back last year.They had a good young quarterback but I didn't see enough to put them in the playoff race this year.Who else did they have returning?

I think your being a little tough on Warren in this prediction.They may not be quite as strong offensively as they were last year but defensively they will be better.They missed the playoffs last year by blowing a 26 point lead in Deweyville and losing by 3.No disrespect to the Hornets but I don't see them beating Warren this year.EC has to be the favorite followed by Buna,the last playoff spot will come down to Dville and Warren with Kountze being the darkhorse.Anahuac and Hardin both have good new coaches but the turnaround won't come over night.

I agree 100%,it will be tight 3-6,that's why I said they will be a contender.They all still have to play the games but I think the coaching experience will help Nederland.

I like EC,Buna and Warren to make the playoffs this year.The 2-6 spots in this district are virtually even.The 29-26 loss to Deweyville last year was all that kept Warren out of the playoffs.This year Warren gets both Deweyville and Buna at home so it could make both games close.I'll agree with Kountze being the dark horse,the talent is there ,they just have to learn to win.Should be great games to watch every week.Good luck to all the 24aa clubs.

The Warriors could very well compete for a playoff spot.They were very close last year. TJ will have them playing about as well as they can play.Good luck Warriors.

It will be a dogfight for the 3rd spot.EC and Buna have to be the favorites for the first 2 places.Anahuac,Kountze and Hardin are all improved and The Pirates squeaked by Warren last year at Deweyville for the 3rd spot.I really don't have a clue who will go to the playoffs out of this district they are all close after you get past the Bucs.Should make for some fun Friday nights.

Don't misunderstand dog52, I know they won't compete with Ozen or Central but I'm not sure what Dayton has coming back.If they can compete with them they have a shot because LCM,Vidor,Lumberton and PNG will all be to close to call.

How many coaches did WH lose? I heard one of their football coaches went to Warren, is that true?They seem to have a big turnover there every year.

Mart has lots of atheletes that go on to play at the college level,playing at the Waco schools wouldn't be a problem.I think EC and Mart will be a heck of a game this year and we'll probably get to see it about 3 weeks deep into the playoffs.Both are very well respected programs , good luck to both.

They weren't bad at the skill positions last year, they got in trouble with there blocking and tackling.They will be better this year.If they play up to there capabilities they could go 5-5.

Nederland will improve in there 2nd year under the new coach.They seem to play well as a group from what I saw this summer.Pretty solid big guy and some pretty decent shooters.That may make them a playoff contender.
