While 22 assists is very impressive,the most impressive to me is Caleb scoring 40 after the type knee injury he had.Great to see him come back .Congrats Coach.

It can make a huge difference.There really shouldn't be anything taught there but fundamentals.You can ruin a kid at that age that could really develop in to a player if you don't teach things correctly.

Congrats to the Cougars.This was an extremely close game until midway thru the 4th.Very simple Buna avoided turnovers and costly penalties and Warren didn't.Best of luck to all the 24aa teams in the playoffs,this district may be a little better than some folks think.

Thats an opinion not a fact,Woodville and Warren went to OT earlier this year Woodville won in OT but Warren had the ball at the 1 at the end of regulation.Theres not a lot of difference top to bottom in 24aa or 23aa.EC will give Newton trouble with there speed.All these other clubs are just about dead even.

Tramain probably gets this because he does so much for EC.Esway from Warren and Williams from Deweyville would also have to get some votes both kids carry their respective teams.

It wouldn't surprise me either.Both these kids can play,if you put them on some of the bigger schools they would still produce.Marc had 179 yards against West Hardin,we moved the ball all night getting inside the 20, 4 or 5 times just not punching it in.

Marc Esway from Warren.Don't know if he is the best or not but he is definitely in the top 5.This kid could play at any of the bigger schools,he has all the tools.He has good size ,great speed and will flat out finish a run.He had 229 yards on 29 carries last week and has been held under 176 only once this season.That was against E/C where he had 55 yards in less than 1 quarter and was injured.From what I hear he already has several bigger schools looking at him.He is the best kept secret in southeast Texas.

Williams is still a fine running back.Buna probably put 8 in the box to stop him,if so they will stop most backs.Unless you can throw the ball to loosen them up the running game will struggle.

Don't mean to be a smarta$$ but it won't be 31-7,Warren hasn't kick an extra point in but 1 game this season.That's the reason they are 4-5 and not 8-1.No disrepect to the Cougars but Warren's D hasn't given up 30 points all season.This will be a possession type game anyone scoring over 20 could win.

Buna is playing at home so that should help them,but what a lot of folks don't realize is Warren could very easily be 8-1.If both teams are healthy Warren wins this one.

Don't think Deweyville is going the other direction,just that the schedule got a whole lot harder.

Don't know who wins this but I don't think Warren scores 7,we haven't kicked an extra point in months.Warren does have a great player but they also have some pretty solid ones around him.If you put 8 in the box against Esway it will be a long night because they can throw it pretty well.Warren had 5 fumbles against Anahuac and still managed to win.Can't do that next week.Team that doesn't turn it over wins this one.I'll take Warren in this one. My hat goes off to this young man.After a severe injury to his knee last summer I didn't think he would come back at all this year.I had the opportunity to watch the young man play last night in Warren.While he is still not 100% he probably has more heart than any kid I have ever watched play the game.He played in every aspect of the game and begged to get in when he wasn't playing.The younger guys from Anahuac could learn a lot from this guy.Good luck with the rest of the rehab and your playing days at the next level.

Warren has the best "D".E/C has the best "O", and Deweyville has a very good all around club.I can't say anything about Buna cause I haven't seen em yet.They better have a good defense cause the Williams kid they are gonna see tonight is very ,very good and Esway comes to town next week and he isn't to shabby either.
