They will be pretty solid this year.Not quite as good as last year simply because the lost their PG(Johnny Whittaker)His little brother is developing into a pretty solid post player along with the Sheffield kid.I don't think they will be real strong in the backcourt but overall a pretty good 1-a school team.They don't play football so they will be a little bit ahead of most of the other1-a clubs around southeast texas.I was surprised they were not a playoff team last year,they had a lot of potential.

In a perfect world I would agree with you,but we don't live in a perfect world.There are a tremendous amount of parents today that don't have a clue where their kids are at must less what they are doing there.I don't see this as an attempt to get Johnny football player.I see it as a way to insure a kids can lead a healthy productive life when they get so old and fat they can't do anything but get on these message boards.

Hate to offend anyone,but "no one" shows up again this week.No plays to stop speed, you either got it or you aint.E/C got it I'll take them by 14.

The schedule or the score in no way should be a reflection on the kids.The kids prepare all week to play. If substitutions are made you can't tell your second teamers not to try and score.They have worked just as hard as the starters.While I don't know any of the Deweyville coaches I don't think they forcasted 60 point wins when they made their schedule.They are probably wishing they had a little stiffer competiton but you play whats on the board.Iknow from experience,several years ago our kids went in undefeated to play E/C and got thumped.But that is not a reflection on the kids just part of life in small classification football.

We need to work on our kicking game.Warren has lost 2 games this year 1 in ot and 1 by 2 points.We have yet to make an extra point.In our ot loss we missed 1 extra point and ran 4 plays from inside the 3 and did not score.In our 2 point loss we had 6 trips inside the 10 and did not score.Not a knock on the kicker just need to work on it a little more to get the confidence back.

We should have a drug testing policy.While it is not feasable to test everyone , random test are certainly affordable.Its insane for these young people to risk their health for 10 weeks of fame.Its also very unfair to the young men and women who work all year and improve strictly from hard work.There out there and a whole lot more prevalent than some people want to think.

While Warren is certainly not a football power, they are certainly no cellar dweller.They have lost 2 games this year 1 in overtime and 1 by 2 points.Simply because we have not made an extra point this year.We were a playoff team last year going 6-4 and if my memory serves me correctly one of those victories was against the mighty bobcats.WH and HD should be pretty close , the oilers are starting to come around.I think they will beat Kountze pretty handily.JMO.Good luck to everyone concerned.

Game went into overtime.Warren had first and goal from the 3 with 1 minute left and couldn't punch it in.Woodville went up 18-0 in the first half but was a very good ball game after that.Warren has yet to make an extra point.Thats tough in a 2 point loss last week and an ot loss this week.Marc Esway played a super game for Warren as did Micah(not sure of his last name for Wdvl)Esway had to be near 200 yds rushing for the night.Tough loss for the Warriors,congrats Wdvl.

Jasper and Silsbee will both be down a little this year.Silsbee graduated heavy and Jasper lost a very good coach.WOS and HJ will be to close to call.This is gonna be fun to watch.

Some of the best coaches in the state are right here in our corner of the state.McCarty,Boutte, all the HJ connection(Sutherland,Davis,Joubert,Trey)they had a really good teacher.English and Carter from Warren.He had some outstanding teams at Brookeland 5 or 6 years ago.

Newton wins this district hands down.Woodville usually handles Corrigan so they get the nod at 2,Corrigan takes 3rd!!!

OK I will correct myself,Shepherd or Orangefield did not contain E/C speed.I don't think HF will contain it either.Looks like a great game ,good luck to both teams.

JV Warren-19 Woodville-14 Pretty well played game on both sides.

I am picking E/C again this week.You gotta stop their speed to beat em and so far no one has done that.I do think this one is closer than their last 2.E/C by a touchdown if HF can contain Tramain,if not it may be 2 td's.

Corrigan isn't bad,but will probably be 3rd in that district.(7 turnovers-geez-thats tough)

Not trying to down the Cougars , but Deweyville handled them in a scrimmage earlier.Don't see them any higher than 5 or 6.Right now E/C,Anahuac and Deweyville have to be the favorites.Looks like Warren and Hardin are pretty even.Warren has some key injuries that may decide their playoff chances.

Probably won't see this in the enterprise but Marc Esway from Warren has 350 yards on 56 carries thru 2 games for 6.5 yards per carry.This kid is playing well.

I got in trouble for saying this last year, but I will say it again because it's true.The good thing about freshmen and sophomores playing varsity is they become juniors and seniors.There are a few that can play at that age and contribute but not many :roll: :roll: :roll:

I hear Brody Parker from Warren may miss the entire season.He had off season surgery on his shoulder and reinjured it in the first practice this year.He played in the first 2 games but hurt it again against West Hardin.Huge loss for Warren(2 way starter and all district as a sophomore) :!: :!: :!:

Buna should win this one .Corrigan beat em by 56 so the cougars should be the favorite.

CONGRATS TO THE OILERS.PRETTY WELL PLAYED GAME ON BOTH SIDES.WARREN HAD SEVERAL DRIVES DEEP INTO OILER TERRITORY(INSIDE THE 10)AND CAME UP EMPTY.THATS A TRIBUTE TO WH DEFENSE,VERY PHYSICAL GAME WITH SEVERAL KEY INJURIES ON BOTH SIDES.THE WARRIORS BETTER WORK ON THEIR KICKING GAME OR THIS SEASON IS NOT GONNA END WITH A PLAYOFF BERTH.MARC ESWAY PLAYED VERY WELL AGAIN THIS WEEK FOR THEWARRIORS.THE OILERS LOOKED LIKE THE TEAM I THOUGHT THEY WOULD BE.THE HD GAME SHOULD BE FUN TO WATCH.
