As crazy as that sounds 😂
-
I’m not sure this will even warrant an investigation. If the battle for possession of the ball didn’t even warrant a whistle then I’m not sure it will warrant the death penalty so many seek.
-
There has to be something to warrant a decision. In this case I didn’t see it. The only people closer to this so called incident than I was were wearing whistles.
-
I did not see that and it would be hard to have a better view than I had. I was about 6 rows up looking straight across the baseline. I left shortly after horn sounded and didn’t see anything that will warrant a suspension.
-
I think the people coming on the floor made it look like a skirmish when in all honesty I know the players couldn’t hear the buzzer. They kept trying to get possession of the basketball. I had a pretty good view looking down the baseline and it looked pretty uneventful to me .

I wish I could say it was stellar defense that made this one close but in fact it was a very subpar offensive output by both clubs. Huffman was deliberate in their possessions and had a kid that hit some clutch shots early from the high post. HJ countered early with the post play down low letting them get back in it. Huffman left the door open late with continuous misses from the FT line but the Hawks struggled to pull down a rebound off the misses and seemed to be a step slow on all the loose balls tonight. That resulted in a lot of frustration fouls and had Huffman in the double bonus early in the 4th quarter. HJ never got in the bonus . The game was close but wasn’t very good basketball for a game of this magnitude. It will be hard to issue any type discipline for the skirmish after the game. It started as what looked like a hard play and a no call and progressed to skirmish after the buzzer. Lots of folks in a wad there including players from both teams and fans. Pretty uneventful game for the most part.
-
To many missed opportunities at the line in the last 2 minutes. Two misses point blank at the buzzer. Not sure what happened to start the skirmish.
-
Both clubs still aren’t shooting it very well.
-
I think we’ll see em heat up in the second half.
-
Very evenly played 1st half. Both clubs getting good production out of there post position. Harvey hit a late 3 to tie it up. Neither team is shooting it very well. Fouls are about even. Pretty good ballgame.

Hawks come out ice cold. Huffman leads 10-7 at the end of 1.

Tip off at 6 pm.

If Lumberton battles for second next year then Coach Mitchell will be working some magic. Not much help moving up from the under level program. I agree though, let’s let the Raiders enjoy this season. Josh has started changing the culture around there, they will start to get better year in and year out. Somewhere in south Hardin County there’s a kid imitating Brock McClure’s jump shot. That ain’t ever happened before in Lumberton Texas. That’s the first step in building a successful program and the Raiders have taken it. -

I believe the #4 in the other district could very possibly win this district. -

Good ballgame. Came down to the last possession. HF missed a 3 at the buzzer. Seeding game will probably be in Dayton on Monday or Tuesday. -

I thought they had multiple shooters that could fill it up. The games I saw they had a shooter on each wing that could fill it up, a kid on the point that could handle the ball pretty well but really struggled in the paint. The dangerous side of living and dying on the perimeter is clear now. -

The Hawks shouldn’t look any further than Friday night. HF is getting healthy and is very athletic. In the head to head matchups this year I like the Hawks. They looked to be the best club in the district. In the early meeting with Huffman they had some kids who had been out with Covid quarantine and just were not in sync yet. HF Could be a nightmare for anyone in the Lumberton district once the playoffs start.
