  1. Spot on!! The Raiders best player according to some on the board is #24, if this is true he’ll most likely be matched up against the Tigers Martin. I have to give the decided edge to Silsbee in that matchup. Head to head the rest of the matchups aren’t close. I don’t think progress reports will affect either club.
  2. I had heard Buna’s post player hurt a knee, that’s going to hinder them when they go to Kountze.
  3. A match up nightmare for the Raiders. This one isn’t close. Tigers by 18. I’ll say 68-50.
  4. Sure glad to hear that. I hated to see the young man injured.
  5. Lots of new faces in the corral this year. They are lite years ahead of where they have been the past few years. I did see a post player removed from the bench midway through the second half. The Horns could have used some help in that regard. The difference in this one looked to be in the post play.
  6. Does anyone from Warren go to basketball games anymore??
  7. And that one is at EC which is another topic of its own
  8. It’s all about matchups. EC has a kid that was injured during football season that hadn’t came back anywhere near 100% and when Caesar goes out they lose their catalyst.
  9. I haven’t seen Hefner play in about a month but the last time I saw him he was still a little hesitant on his knee. He will use a completely different skill set as an Aggie than he has to use this year as a Bulldog. I hope he builds up a little before he hits the floor in the SEC , they got some bangers in that conference.
  10. I never did see a stat line on this one. I believe the Hawks were 4-13 from the line which is a dagger in a close ballgame.
  11. When Nederland has their bigs rolling they are a very respectable threat. They have one kid who has a great game around the rim and one that comes in off the bench who can really bang and has great touch. I’ve seen both clubs and I think the difference will depend on Nederland’s other guards. When they are hitting the spot up 3 they are hard to beat.
  12. I know Yates is the real deal but whoever advances out of this district as the #1 seed will be making a mistake to overlook Lufkin Hudson or Huffman.
  13. He’s a gritty kid who seems to consistently play his better ball the bigger the stage. This group of Hawks are a lot of fun to watch. They are probably one of the most unselfish bunch I’ve ever watched.
  14. Warren seems to be a little like Jekyll and Hyde. Some nights they seem to play really well and the next night they look like a different club.
  15. This district overall this year is down. EC does have a really special young guard. The young man who got hurt during football season wasn’t all the way back when I saw them earlier this year.
  16. I don’t remember who played for the Tigers but the HJ team captained by Ryan Donahoe was one of the best high school rivalries I’ve seen. The battle at the regional tournament that year was a fans dream.
  17. I haven’t seen HF this year yet but from all reports they are right in the playoff mix. WOS has the athleticism to give the Raiders some problems. BC is an interesting club because they can get hot and fill it up. LCM has Jeffcoat so they will always be prepared. The last two spots in this district are a coin toss.
