They also have another little shooter that’s going to be a Sophomore that can fill it up from deep. If the Lions grow a little to make that press a little harder to go over the top of they are gonna start turning some heads.

I think it was like a 3 way tie wasn’t it? I think I remember a multiple play in type scenario. Kountze was really YOUNG and is on the verge of having something special, EC graduated 1 player. For this hire to make Buna the favorite it would have to be a tremendous upgrade which I don’t know much about coach Wilson . Whitmire was good one but the guys in EC and Kountze are special.
-
Wasn’t sure what OF graduated or I would probably have had them 3rd
-
Is this a serious question?
-
1. Kountze 2. EC 3. Buna 4. OF

Great Read “ King Cotton”.

It ain’t been to many years they had one of the best AD’s in the area and Lawrence was taking em on really deep playoff runs. I guess success didn’t agree with em.

Everyone else go to work in the off season and get better

Yes sir after the move from the civic center. Lord I’ve even seen over 10k in the Montagne for the women’s games. Hard to believe we went from hosting an NIT tournament game to what we see in the stands these days. -

I think they have taken a step in the right direction with Coach Brooks. I’d like to see em go after Larry Tidwell as an AD. -

I remember being in the civic center the night Louisiana Tech ended our home court winning streak at 88 games I believe it was. We had the longest streak in the nation. ESPN was in the house. Karl Malone and Wille Simmons ( I think that was his last name) were just to much on the block. Great teams -

Mike Oliver was one of the best pure shooters I ever saw -

AMEN!!!!!!

He still graduated heavy. He lost the best player in the district . Those kinda players are hard to replace.
-
Yes they do but they don’t just walk on the floor and know how to play. Silsbee is the perfect example of players and parents that buy in to a system and are successful as a result.
-
Anyone have a complete list of these guys? Never saw one posted and this group has been finished for awhile.
-
Many years ago the all district teams were chosen to reward hard work, talent and success on the court. These days not so much. Looking at these picks there are some great players and coaches but the awards should be for the best of the bunch. In a 7 team district 35 players would be starters. This list has 26 players that’s 5 complete teams plus 1. I may be old fashioned but that’s a little watered down. The coach looks like a no brainer. The guy who took a team of sophomores and went undefeated would be my choice.

It would be easier these days to post those that didn’t make it .
-
Best example I’ve seen recently of letting an undisciplined player ruin a season!!
-
I hate to even bring this up but there’s a pretty good coach on the bench in Winnie. He graduated heavy and still managed to share a portion of the district championship but that’s a discussion for another time.
