1. I hope this is just a rumor.Travis is one of things that make basketball special inSoutheast Texas.
Its all about working with the kids!
These young guys go in to coaching and teaching to work with kids but they also all have sports they specialize in and teaching fields as well. That could be a thing of the past with this new budget.Alot of these guys will choose other fields and you can't blame them.
3.
I still say Titans new coach is coming from HWY 96 South  ;) he's already used to red and black.
If he's used to red and black he must be coming from HWY 69 South !!!
Sometimes your talented , been recruited by major D1 schools but end up with an injury with senior year. Guess what? The schools stop calling. Your options? JUCOs. Other options, you have 5th year seniors taking the prep school route too. Not grades all the time  the reason you take JUCO route. ;)
Didn't mean to imply that grades were the only reason, just the talent level shouldn't be overlooked because of the JUCO title. Most of these kids can play.

6. He is responsible for the recruits, no doubt, but the young guys beat the recruiting trail a lil better. Not sure who the ties were but I remember 10/12 years ago alot of recruits coming from the Northeast. Can't blame Gilligan for slowing down on the travel trail it's just not as much fun when you get a lil older.

8. Gilligan didn't forget how to Coach folks.Baseball is one game where knowledge is learned and retained. The problem with LU baseball recently has been in their recruiting. That's where the young blood has gotta step up, we have some good local players but not the caliber that will consistantly get you to the super regionals.
9. Lots of talent in PA but it's not one of the premiere jobs in the state.Coach Henderson is a good basketball guy as was Coach Green. You gotta look past the coach's seat to see why this program has struggled .
10. Now I won't argue that point, way too many of these kids don't have either parent at the games.
11. Unfortunately this is partly the result of the me-me-me attitude of AAU basketball. Most of these kids haven't got a clue about the team concept of basketball so they take these calls as a personal attack. The first lesson this kid needs to learn is respect for authority, the second is the game is not about individuals, it's about TEAM.
12. Congrats guys on a good season. The near future on the diamond looks pretty good for the Warriors.
13. Congrats to a good young man from a very good basketball family.
14.

You would have thought a Warren/Centerville matchup could have found somewhere north of Conroe to play. Both clubs will have some travel to this one.
Actually, Dekaney is in Spring so it looks like they were looking north for the series.
Yea I knew it was in Spring , I was thinking maybe somewhere around Huntsville would have been a midway point and wouldn't have had the mad friday traffic.LOL.Good luck Warriors.

16. Congrats to the Warriors. I knew they would surprise some folks this year but they have played better than even I thought they would.Just a quick question for the Lions faithful.I know Price was touted as a solid pitcher all year but last night the Lions pitched 4 guys and he never toed the rubber, was he used earlier in the week? In a game the Lions had to have to have a shot at the playoffs I found that interesting.
17. Congrats, Thats impressive !!!!!! They are gonna be hard to replace.
18. Great guy and will do a great job if given the chance.
19. Young left hander #5 pitched for the Hornets.Pretty good ballgame to watch.Warren needed to show a little more patience at the plate.I don't think the Hardin pitcher threw over 15 pitches thru the first 3 innings. Not many errors in this one by either club, one base running blunder by the Warriors in the 6th but the kid was hustling and trying to create something so it's hard to find fault with that. This district is just about even from top to bottom.
20. They should check with UIL before they suit up for this, it would be a shame to lose your elgibility over this.
21. I wasn't there to see the game but I do know the young coach who handles the first base duties and I've never seen him get irate enough to get the hook, now his dad may be a different story LOL.This district is fun to watch this season maybe not the strength of years past but it's definitely tight.
22. Unfortunately not many college prospects in the area this year.Whittacre was a very good high school player but unfortunately he is probably a tweener. He isn't big enough to play the post at the college level and doesn't have the skill set to play outside. Sells was the engine that made Woodville go this season and I would probably have him in my top 10 local players this season. All that being said both were very deserving of recognition for the season they had.
23. Usually the young guy that coaches first is very laid back. Could be he saw something he didn't agree with and voiced his opinion. That's not all that unusual in baseball and especially in the heat of a playoff race.
24. There will always be differences of opinion but I gotta give some props to 2 small school players.Sells from Woodville and Whittacre from Spurger were 2 of the very best small school players in the area this year.
