  1. It's been a mass exodus in Nederland after they watch their kids play at halftime. A lot of em don't stick around
  2. this is probably some knucklehead in his baseball class.
  3. On a side note, this will likely be the fewest pages of pre game MCM posting in a long, long time. Without the 2-3 pages of Stats pics of memory lane, it would be even shorter.
  4. Hard to tell if you'll be more excited that PNG gets over the hump or that the Nederland kids might have to choke on a hard pill. Either way, this Nederland team has shown a lot of character to keep plugging even when events completely out of their control unfolded. It started on the first day of two a days and has continued through the forfeit, and a wagon load of injuries at key positions. The Nederland faithful will be very proud of them, regardless of the outcome this Friday. That's how we roll.
  5. Did you copy and paste that from the thread leading up to last years game... and the year before that... and the year before.... nevermind.
  6. Not saying PNG shouldn't win, but this is the same song... 7th verse.
  7. Kind of like AMo, Giblin, Sullivan...etc last year, and the year Doty led that high powered offense, and .... like the kids say, Come and Take It
  8. Our offense goes when our QB is the 3rd rb in the backfield. Lange throws a good ball, but Fernandez brought the nasty running this offense requires. Lange will sling it around well if we can protect him, he's still not moving around like he can due to his ankle. Nederland has a few stud players, they've just suffered from the revolving door at QB. Perkins will be the fastest and most explosive player on the field, he just doesn't touch it every play like RJ, so gotta be creative in his touches. You still can't handle Fisher, remember "that guy" that torched PNG last year, had over 100 yards and caught it in side the 5 to setup the game winner. Then we haven't mentioned Leleux who torched PNG last year running the ball.... and haven't even gotten to Simmons who I would argue is the STUD who just has also been hurt most of the year but is healthy. Game on, we'll see. Nederland has it's hands full, but all the talk of having no chance.... let's just play.
  9. Lumberton took a step forward in the "toughness" department this year. They are definitely trending in the right direction. I think they would be better suited for an I / pro set offense, but they played tough on offense. Their defense struggled, but played hard. To be out of the playoffs and still playing hard in their last game means their coaching staff has their confidence. Good luck next year.
  10. Therein lies your misunderstanding of who Nederland is this year, you have no clue.
  11. Ned's success in the past has been on mixing coverages and looks up, dropping into zone, playing press man, man under with safeties over the top. They don't line up and give you one look that you can bank on. This has given several seasoned PNG QB's problems in the past. Would love to keep discussing, but we have business this Friday. See ya'll next week.
  12. Noah Lewis is over 6 foot and has proven to have the makings of man up corner that you can assign to a player. Other corner is smaller, but in the past Nederland has also put Wistner, right at 6 foot out at corner and slot to bang receivers off their routes. It won't be so much smother as having a good chance to disrupt the timing. Issue will be that puts the ball in ya'lls QB hands which will be a test to deal with.
  13. Nobody was saying it was rigged when we were up 10's of thousands of votes. Just win baby.
  14. Incorrect, calcs are off, they have to win by 14 or more this week, and then Livingston would need to beat Ozen.
  15. Let's get the Russians on this thing.
  16. Yeah Nederland never really plays big in this game, they'll roll over for sure, you nailed it again.
  17. One correction. If Central wins by more than 14, they would still need Livingston to beat Ozen the following week so they avoid a head to head tie with Nederland.
  18. If it has hit the ground and gone 10 yards, then NO, the receiving team does not have to be given the opportunity to catch the ball.
  19. I think PNG wins, but I also believe you'll think fairly highly of the Moreaux (spelling??) kid they have at running back. I think he compares fairly well with Hines.
  20. I have absolutely no issue with the trash talk between the lines, but trash talking a coach the entire game is different. do it all you want but it's a bad look.
  21. What happens in the 7 - 14 range that you left out? If Central wins by 14 they would be in, if they win by 13 or less, Nederland is in. If Livingston wins, they are in.
  22. No, incorrect.
