The CC game is what the SA players needed. They got a hard fought win against what everyone said would be the team to beat in our district. I don't think that they will lose another game. They seem to be improving every week on both sides of the ball. There is a confidence among the players that I haven't seen since they were on JV a couple of years ago. I'll say CC wins this match up 24-21. I think it's really a toss up. Special teams play may decide it. [/quote] Our O-line not blocking and our recievers dropping passes had alot to do with our offense being off. D-ville defense did play a good game, but like I said it should have been a 30 or 40 point game. Fella, Alto or garrison neither one was able to hold us to under 26 points. If you don't think that our offense was bad off their game last week then your nuts. GO WOLVES !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The boys looked really good when I stopped by practice yesterday. Looking forward to Friday night. @ wildcat, I heard somebody talking about ordering some turkey legs but I never saw any at the last home game.

[/quote] There has been a whole lot of things said about us but nobody has ever said that we don't have speed. The offense was off badly friday night against D-ville. Not taking anything away from D-ville, but that should've been a 40-0 game. If our offensive unit fixes the mistakes from last week then we pull it off.

[/quote] If your not a little nervous about the SA-Hemphill game then you are dillusional. I don't care what both teams have been doing all year, this is a long standing rivalry. These two teams play harder on that night than any other the rest of the year. When you have an athlete like Justin Twine there is the potenial to score at anytime. But this won't be the first time that the SA defense has had to adjust for his speed. They did a vey good job last year and are improved this year. Except for two games, we have held the rest our opponents to 14 points combined. Should be a good game. GO WOLVES !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We just need to get everybody firing at the same time and we will be fine. Last nite was the worst performance we've had on offense. I am looking forward to the rest of district and making the playoffs. The hemphill sa game is always a good gamebecause of the rivalry. We will see what happens in week 9.

[/quote] The good "1A teams" that we have played have had more players suited up than we have. They have also had good programs in place alot longer than we have. We have 5 games so far under the new HC and 3 of them are wins. Two of those by shut-outs. I will agree that we are not there yet, but well on the way and getting better each week. Since SA still has both teams to play, I am very interested to see how this one turns out. Have to take Groveton in this one.

You gotta love these long distance games. The excitement of no one really being able to watch the other team to know whats goin on. I love listening to SA got smashed by two 1A teams, and D-ville is undefeated. Gets the blood pumpin, doesn't it? With that being said let me make my speculation. If the SA defense shows up and are all on the same page, this has the potential to be another shutout. I don't think that the D-ville defense will be able to contain the speed that SA has in the backfield. The final score in this game will be determined by which defense gets off the bus friday. SA 42 D-ville 12. GO WOLVES !!!!!!!!!!!!!

The 3 teams that SA has beat have scored a total of 14 points combined (so don't compare yourself to those teams). This game will be determined by which SA defense shows up. If it is the lockdown defense they are capable of (SA fans know what I'm talking about) then this could get ugly. D-ville is going to be dangerous simply because it's their homecoming. I have been hearing that they are improved from last year. That's good, it is always nice to see a team progress as the get some experience. The bad news for the pirates is that they played a team full of sophomores last year that are juniors this year. They are leaps and bounds ahead of where they were last year too. Should make for an interesting game to say the least. GO WOLVES !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
