1. What a great match-up... I've seen both teams plays and I am sure that WOS will have trouble against Navasota's Defense... You can throw LaMarque's 20 out of the window... The game was WELL in hand. The Match Up will be the WOS D vs Navasota O... and I have to give the edge to Navasota... They have a lot more AND better coached athletes than Silbsee (who scored 14)... I think LaMarque vs. WOS would be a better game than Navasota vs. WOS... Rattlers 28-WOS 14
2. WOS will have trouble scoring... Look for another game like Silsbee... Who does WOS have next round? Winner of who and who?
3. He scored 3 TD's against Silsbee in the 48-44 shoot out at Lamar... As a FRESHMAN....
4. WOS 14 Silsbee 10 I think WOS defense is smoothering and I don't think their offense is good enough to score more than 21 on Silsbee... If anything, offensive mistakes will keep Silsbee in the game for 4 quarters!!
5. I think this game will be tough and VERY hard fought... 21-14 Jasper... 14-14 most of the game, and Jasper breaks one late...
6. Cleveland in a landslide, win and your in, just like Liberty/Clevland last year!! We will take care of business!!
7. Baker was a legend? He beat WOS, sure did? Did he ever beat Liberty? He made it to the second round once? Did he ever have back to back 9-3 season... So the fact that Huffman was bumped out of the playoff by Navosota was purely a case of getting out-coached? Coldspring beating Huffman boils down to coaching? (Did anyone know that Huffman's leading receiver was hurt the week before and out for the year, and they played a pretty phyiscal Cleveland team that LIMITED Coldspring to 35 or so points?) Coldspring losing to Navasota this year was Coldspring getting out-coached? Coaching does make a difference, no doubt. But so does athletic ability, injuries, and breaks in games. A tipped ball here and there, a bad call by an official, and a key injury can all change a game. WOS having 'seven D-1 recruits' on defense is a case of out-coaching teams? I think the good coaches are the ones that build consistentcy and produce results. It's not always about Jims and Joes or X's and O's, it's about a combination of the two... And when you don't have the Jims and Joes, GOOD COACHES still put a good product on the field!! It sounds like someone's 'little league All-American' isn't getting any playing time?
8. And it's a shame about Townley... I heard he is having surgery next week... I wish him and his family the best!!
9. I think we should fire Mac like they did Stewart at Liberty and Tullos at Cleveland... Boy that really paid off!! Maybe they could get another guy in there that works for two or three years and moves on... I think we should fire all the coaches and let the Little League Parents take over... That would make things so much better!!
10. Week ten will be the key game in the district...
11. Coaching? Coldspring has A LOT of athletes, Huffman has good kids...
12. Name the nine 'key' players that would make a difference?
13. The last two years Coldspring has had a BYE before they play Huffman... This is the first year they dont have two weeks to get ready. Might be a factor, might not... I'm just saying!!
14. Way to go Tullos!! Cleveland made a mistake....
15. Game Day!! TTT!!
