Think OF will be better this year than I was initially expecting. Don’t think they bear Kountze this year, but depending on how the playoff splits shake out should make it till whatever round they get Hitchcock again (who I know Kountze is glad not to see again)

Agreed. For whatever reason the old guard wants to label us a “football school” when we have been remarkably mediocre for the entirety of our history at that sport

I don’t think OF should ever try to hire another “football genius” as an AD again. Until they get an influx of better athletes this is what they will be. Most years a 5-5 team at best. Occasionally we will get a “phenomenal” group that wins a weak district and gets beat in the second round

This will be a good position for at least the next two years. Really good group about to be juniors. Shocked by this move as well. Robertson was one of the top coaches in the area in my opinion.

Agree with this. I do think they take a small step back next year, but Scales’ senior year should be a regional tournament team.

Absolutely. One of the best staffs in the area. I would guess both assistants will be head coaches in the next few years.

They don’t have a Harris, and although they hit 5 or 6 threes tonight on us I don’t think they’re a great shooting team. I’d say Silsbee by 20ish

Agree with all of this. Never would have thought I’d see OF at this level of play consistently. Future is extremely bright for them. congrats to Hitchcock. Extremely well coached to go along with the talent.
