First of all, he got third. and I wouldn't call the corrigan meet a 3 and 4a meet. Kirbyville and diboll were the only 3a schools there.. BTW, corrigan (a 2a)went 1 &2 in the 100... Enjoy district because the regional meet will be brutal...

That don't get hurt excuse has always rubbed me the wrong way.. I have seen him play both sports..He is extremely good at both football and basketball.. I hope he continues to play both sports..

The Wville-Tarkington game was a strange game.Wville lost 3 key players is the 1st quarter.QB-Collar bone & 2 RB's which also start on def...That along with 3 other players standing on the sidelines with broken ankles(2 of which were the starting RB's in the Splendora game...Made for a tough night. Injuries are a part of any sport though, especially FB. Tarkington deserves credit for the win...They played well that night.. The QB was back last week vs Newton and that helped wville...Good luck to the Eagles vs. Hemphill.It Has the makings of a good game...

You slam Woodville every chance you get!!! Kountze had about 20 total yards vs Woodville with the ones...

Coach Foreman has had much success in his career...Hope he gets another ring in his last go around!!

Newton was 2-8 or 3-7 way back in 93. That is the only losing season I think Coach Barbay has had.... Coach has built something special deep in the Piney Woods....

nope. played their subvarsities. Have good players coming, but Pendland, Johnston, Freeman and that nose guard were men playing against boys...

Time will tell...Lewis played well every friday night...that is why he made all-state... I wouldn't say anyone else was dominant..If you want to step off in a what graduated discussion, I think Newton lost more key players than anyone....4 of those guys will play at the next level at scholarship schools..

evidently you didn't watch too many games in 04, because Cruse split time on offense and Rainey played sparingly on Off.. he did start on defense...and Lewis didn't make much noise in 04 but did in 05.....and BTW, SA has 3/3 coming back from last year.... You are correct about one thing though, 23AA will be a very tough district....

Woodville will be just fine...8 starters back on defense and 6 on Offense.. the Mitchell kid can run with anybody...JV lost one game and that is with 8 soph's being on the varsity... As far as what graduated, the same was said the year before when they lost Beck(QB) and T,Cruse(WR).District will be barnburner and Wville will be in the thick of it...The Eagles will be just fine....
