  1. So you're saying this program is in shambles over 1 kid... That was kicked off the team?!? That's even worse lol!!!
  2. This is kinda of funny. All these people wanted coach T out and wanted a "certain type"of head coach because some people felt that CT was racist. Now that the program has got completely belly up, now everyone has a problem. You get what your ask for. When are people going to learn that you take advantage of what is given to you. You don't like him... So what!!! Use his knowledge to get that scholarship to the next level and quit being in your feelings. Now WOS is pretty much a shell of itself because everyone wants it to "feel good".
  3. Yes it is true. Our old books would go to LCM. WOS had money to burn due to the chemical plants in the area. We had experimental equipment, embroidered towels with a belt loop...none of that tear a towel and make your own crap. We wore black shoes and lost games and they shelved the shoes and never brought them back. Of course this was during WOS hay day of making money and a thriving economy for Orange. I recently visited Orange and almost didn't recognized the place...really sad.
  4. That is a great "opinion" which is all that is. At least Calpreps is usually over 70% right. So I will go with that over your "opinion". And yes WOS would lose, no one is saying they wouldn't.
  5. LBJ is nowhere NEAR as good as SOC
  6. A lot of "Heart" votes on here. Well...go get 'em PNG
  7. No not at all
  8. You asked...here's 2017 Newton vs 2022 teams [2022] Aledo (TX) 41 (88%), [2017] Newton (TX) 21 (12%) [2022] College Station (TX) 35 (73%), [2017] Newton (TX) 26 (27%) [2022] North Shore (Houston, TX) 49 (98%), [2017] Newton (TX) 14 (2%) [2022] Duncanville (TX) 48 (>99%), [2017] Newton (TX) 7 (<1%) [2022] Port Neches-Groves (Port Neches, TX) 31 (61%), [2017] Newton (TX) 26 (39%) [2022] South Oak Cliff (Dallas, TX) 28 (65%), [2017] Newton (TX) 21 (35%) [2022] Franklin (TX) 35 (65%), [2017] Newton (TX) 28 (35%) [2022] Boerne (TX) 35 (72%), [2017] Newton (TX) 27 (28%) [2022] Westlake (Austin, TX) 48 (97%), [2017] Newton (TX) 19 (3%) [2022] DeSoto (TX) 50 (97%), [2017] Newton (TX) 19 (3%) [2022] China Spring (TX) 35 (75%), [2017] Newton (TX) 24 (25%) [2017] Newton (TX) 35 (72%), [2022] Poth (TX) 27 (28%) [2022] Brock (TX) 31 (60%), [2017] Newton (TX) 27 (40%) [2022] Gunter (TX) 31 (74%), [2017] Newton (TX) 21 (26%)
  9. The most interesting part is the comparison to the small schools....since that's where Orange is headed.
  10. Geez...it was just for fun...everyone calm down! This thread has NOTHING to do with PNG. I hope they win state...would be good for the area! I live in San Antonio so NO ONE here is talking about WOS or even know they exist...so pump the brakes on that. And if you actually went down the list...there were quite a few losses predicted.
  11. After having an argument about past teams....how does Calpreps have WOS chances with that 2016 defensive team vs 2022 state finalist teams? Just for entertainment...some of these predicted outcomes are interesting [2016] West Orange-Stark (Orange, TX) 28 (73%), [2022] Argyle (TX) 19 (27%) [2016] West Orange-Stark (Orange, TX) 26 (61%), [2022] Port Neches-Groves (Port Neches, TX) 21 (39%) ne2016 West Orange-Stark (Orange, TX) 21 (53%), [2022] South Oak Cliff (Dallas, TX) 20 (47%) [2022] Carthage (TX) 31 (74%), [2016] West Orange-Stark (Orange, TX) 21 (26%) [2022] DeSoto (TX) 42 (90%), [2016] West Orange-Stark (Orange, TX) 21 (10%) [2022] North Shore (Houston, TX) 42 (95%), [2016] West Orange-Stark (Orange, TX) 17 (5%) [2022] Duncanville (TX) 38 (96%), [2016] West Orange-Stark (Orange, TX) 10 (4%) [2022] Westlake (Austin, TX) 38 (87%), [2016] West Orange-Stark (Orange, TX) 20 (13%) [2022] Aledo (TX) 31 (74%), [2016] West Orange-Stark (Orange, TX) 21 (26%) [2016] West Orange-Stark (Orange, TX) 28 (57%), [2022] College Station (TX) 26 (43%) [2022] Vandegrift (Austin, TX) 28 (73%), [2016] West Orange-Stark (Orange, TX) 19 (27%) [2022] China Spring (TX) 28 (57%), [2016] West Orange-Stark (Orange, TX) 26 (43%) [2016] West Orange-Stark (Orange, TX) 28 (57%), [2022] Boerne (TX) 26 (43%) [2016] West Orange-Stark (Orange, TX) 22 (53%), [2022] Gunter (TX) 21 (47%) [2016] West Orange-Stark (Orange, TX) 38 (90%), [2022] Poth (TX) 17 (10%) [2016] West Orange-Stark (Orange, TX) 28 (65%), [2022] Brock (TX) 21 (35%) [2016] West Orange-Stark (Orange, TX) 28 (57%), [2022] Franklin (TX) 26 (43%)
  12. from average program people...
  13. What are you talking about LOL?? YES...YES...He should be dang near undefeated bringing 8 back on each side of the ball from a team that ran DEEP into the playoffs last year and lost to the state champ. And then this year you can't even line up right??? Yeah give the coach a chance LOL. Going undefeated is the standard at WOS. That's the problem. People are saying it's ok to be down. Aw shucks attitude.
  14. Yep people get caught up with race thing. But....if you know Orange, there's ALWAYS been a race thing. We just swallowed it and kept moving. I played at WOS and I don't feel sorry for them. When you start picking coaches and race is a factor, then you're actually not looking for the best...just a criteria. Sad end to an era.
