PNG v Brenham tonight at 7pm at the Reservation.  Should be a great game.  Hopefully ** will keep his cool this year and not throw any punches if he gets frustrated.  I would hate to see him get tossed again.

Anybody know when/where LCM boys scrimmages this week?

Looking forward to our trip back to the Bridge City La Quinta in January!  The competition will be good again and I REALLY hope the PN-G football kids turn out for our match with PN-G.  I really enjoyed them last year.  Their exuberance really helped to create a great atmosphere!

Actually, you would be able to do that provided it was not an "official" school event.  The teams themselves could play but they could not wear their school uniformas and could not be coached by their coach during the game and the school could not pay for any of it. Other than that.......  ;)

Brenham Men - JVA coach - All-State player and ODP player JVB / GK coach - 4 year varsity GK in HS Speed / Conditioning coach - played soccer (and she's hot!) Varsity Head Coach - well, he's kind of the weak link........ but he does drive the bus!  ;D

Just curious..... If they won Director's Cup last year, how is it that they aren't in President's Cup this year?

I consider Friendswood the top 4A girls program in the region, Midway second, and then probably Brenham.  It is hard to say that Stratford is one of the top programs in the region when this is their first year as a 4A school, THOUGH they have an excellent team this season and Kelly is a private school. When someone asks who are the top teams in the region, I think most people are going to list 4-5 teams, EVEN IF one of them is more dominant than the others. On the boys side, there is tremendous parity. But, with the exception of Klein Oak's two years at the 4A level, Brenham is the only team to make it to state more than once (five times) and to the regional final four more than three times (eight times).  So while Brenham isn't a DOMINANT force on the boys side, I would say that they have had a slight edge over the years. Good luck to the Mustangs (and Lady Mustangs)........

[/quote] Brenham girls have lost in the regional final twice, neither time to Friendswood who they beat in the semi's in 2002.  So, it would be incorrect to say that a two-time regional runner-up has never been one of the regions top teams. Friendswood's boys have never made it to state but have lost in the regional final twice and I consider them to be one of the top teams in the region........  ;)
