8.
Greg Tepper and Travis Stewart, both of Dave Campbell’s Texas Football picks Coldspring to beat West Orange- Stark and to advance to State Simi-Finals On the subject of Top Football Players in Texas list I could only find two players and only one was playing in this game that was listed in the top recruiters list. For Coldspring Sherman Gilbert 4.5 40yd was listed as the 10th ranked RB in the state all though  Oklahoma State is recruiting him as an inside receiver. He also is listed as the 89th player in the Top 100 list. For WO-S the only player (ex-player) I could find was Justin Thomas was listed as the 41st DB in the state, but is ineligible to play because he is 20 years old. He was not listed in the Top 100 list. If there are other list please post for our friends we share this board with.
Wow only a 4.5? Dang put him wos and he probably wouldn't even start they got like 30 guys that are way faster ::) ::) ::) ::) ::). On a side note how are you 20 years old and still in high school?

They are a better team than yall. Imo. Luck was not on their side against yall, and even us. The team with the silver helmets you will see Friday night are not the same team of 6 weeks ago.
Oh really how many points did they score while menars was in the game? don't kid yourself both teams had important players hurt and the outcome wouldve been the same even if menard is healthy the whole time.
That's not really a good argument that Menard didn't score any points when he was healthy, so it wouldn't have made a difference. If Menard would have stayed healthy, they would have scored on yall a few times. BC had a tendency to start slow and eventually wear the opposing team down. Menard was a qb that could read defenses very well. Once he figured out what the defense was doing the kid would check down on receivers or even audible.
Well he wasnt reading the D very well he threw 2 or 3 pics depending on where you look at the stats. Whos to say he would've improved, more likely than not his level of play would've remained the same.

Falconfanatic posted “I didn't post or agree with that. Especially since cs didn't score more points than wos did on Cleveland or bc”. Fact: Not True: Coldspring 61 Cleveland 0 - - WOS 58 Cleveland 14 Misleading indicator: Coldspring won by 61 net WOS won by 44 net In Bridge City game Coldspring won by 7 net, WOS won by 5 net. Surely no excuse, but point is the officials have allowed too many plays this season IMO that have ended in unsportsmanlike behavior. I do agree with some statements about the police. Somethings you must get out of bounds to get things back in line. Just the way it is. I know if my son had threw punches, I would have drug his but off that field and put a few licks on him myself shortly afterwards. Just not acceptable.
That is probably why your son wouldn't have been throwing punches. It starts at home people.
You are correct sir. A lot of young people don't have an element of fear. The kind of fear that makes you afraid to pull a stunt like this for the "FEAR" of what will be done to you when it is over! Leadership and Parenting can not be by fear only, but I will say this, I didn't do a lot of stuff when I was young, because I was AFRAID of getting in trouble. Not too scared. AFRAID of the familiy! I didn't have my dad around, but mama a a few uncles did the trick. Most people don't want there "big ole babies told nothing" LOL. FURTHERMORE, if my son had made a mistake and reacted wrong, which we all have at times, I would have told him if he didn't want the police on his neck, he should not have thrown a punch! Whether you agree with the force or not, people it keeps balance in our world. If young people learn that, we could walk a bit safer to Walmart during the holidays.
Bingo +1
 17. For anyone that thinks the cops shouldn't have broken up the brawl Are you serious? What the heck were they supposed to do sit there and watch as the teams beat the heck out of each other? Then you could get on here and say why didn't the cops stop it right? The cops are trained to take resisting individuals down in a certain way for thier safety, that is what the did. If the playersdidn't wanna getpeppersprayed or taken down then they shouldn't have gotten in a brawl or resistedthe cops. You see all this and blame the cops? Maybe you should blame the thugs who started the brawl. Also if you start on field brawl where the cops have to get called in then you are the very definition of a thug. I have been playing sports since I was 4 years old (baseball, football, and basketball) I currently play D1 baseball and i have never been involved in a brawl like this. Sure we have had scuffles including one last year but never something were the cops had to break it up and that is what makes them thugs. Just like the Miami players who got in the fight a couple of years ago and beat people with thier helmets were thugs.

I talked to a local school district police chief.  He said that school district policy states that the only way event officers would get involved in a "on field" fight, before, during or after a game, between uniformed players is if the coach, administrator, superintendent or any other school official ordered the police officers to intervene.  He said that it is the responsibility of the coaches to control or intervene in any incidents involving players.
Cs has played a lot better opponents in the playoffs than wos has. Just like wos played better opponents in the regular season and struggled while cs rolled.
I could have bought that until 5-5 Lorena took CS to the brink... The "stiffer competition" thing went out the door with that one... Now, it doesn't matter. I'm a believer of 1 or 100, just win. But, you lost that angle when you almost lost to Lorena, sorry.
Almost lost? They were never even behind in the game, in fact I don't think cs has trailed at all durring the playoffs (maybe in the bellville game). Overall cs has played much tougher opponents in the playoffs than wos. Bc and bellville could beat everyone one of wos opponents and lorena would beat Cleveland and Columbus. BTW lorena's 5 losses were to grandview (9-2), lampass (10-2), kennedale (8-4) la Vega (11-1), and Robinson (9-3). 4 of thier losses la vega, Robinson, kennedale, and lampass they lost by a combined 15 points. They were blownout by grandville in the 2nd game of the season. It's not like lorena was that bad of a team.
