2.
Throughout the playoffs Coldspring has been surviving and WOS has been rolling it's opponents......and you guys think Coldspring is gonna turn it around this week?????
Cs has played a lot better opponents in the playoffs than wos has. Just like wos played better opponents in the regular season and struggled while cs rolled.

I feel like the FB & TE woulda fit this team alot better than the spread
BC didn't lose because menard got hurt. CS had one of thier running backs hurt too. BC lost to a better team, I don't call that underachieving.
A running back that was getting completely shut down? Give me a break..I honestly don't believe Coldspring was the better team. I'm sure you didn't see the game though
So your argument is that Monroe getting hurt didn't matter, because he was getting shut down? Well then I guess menard getting hurt didn't matter either right? How many points did they score while menard was in the game? If you think BC is them better team then I know you weren't at the game.

They won state in 97 and went a combined 33-3 between 97-99. They would've won another state championship in 98, but had to forfeit two games, because of an ineligible player. Total record for the 90s  was 107-25.
Well you be at the game ? If so I wouldn't mind sitting on Katy side with you. BTW the 90's comment was meant with  the reason you give. When the 90's started and teams seen them on there scheduled no one thought they would win the title in 97. Everytime has to have a starting point. I happen to think ours is this year.
Probably not. I'm only in town for a week and will most likely be with family the whole time.

Last year they relied on the run too much they had 4500 rushing yards compared to 1500 passing and they gave up 17 points a game. This year they are more balanced running for 3100 and passing for 2000, plus they only give up 7 points a game. Last year they lost to the eventual state champion 35-38 infront of 40,000 people the year before they lost in the state championship to Abilene. In the last three year only three teams have beaten Katy Pearland(16-0), Abilene(16-0), and the woodlands(11-1) all of those teams were undefeated when they beat Katy. That is pretty impressive. Someone may upset Katy, but it will be someone capable of winning state. I just don't think La Porte or Pam for that matter can do it. Well I tell you this much don't be surprise if it happens LaPorte 11-1 and PAM 11-1. That's some really good teams that are in the process of being great. Nothing against Katy but down here in SE Tx we don't fear them like else where. If I where to ask you at the point the pass three years would Katy get beat you would of told me NO. You just want Katy to lose because you know deep down that Pam won't beat them in the next round ether. This is the definations of stroking them BTW I'm not "stroking" Katy I'm not even a Katy fan, but I do like the way they play I couldn't of said it any better. You deserve it by winning more district games. I'm not a fan of 4 teams in the playoffs in a district with 8 teams. It teaches mediocrity. Three should be the max , IMO, in a district with 8 teams, and 2 teams with a 6 team district. Sure it's great that Ozen is doing well, but I bet there are not many other 4th place teams still in the playoffs. It's more the exception than the rule. Growing up, I can never remember being excited in the 100m dash when I finished in 4th place out of 8 runners.
Fellas, I don't think the issue is sending so many teams. It's the fact that Texas has so many kids in school it's hard demographically to make districts that are fair travel and otherwise to all the teams. It's either we take 4A and make two divisions out of it or we make 4A or add more As on the top end (7A?) and the teams travel across the state according to their size. There are a heck of a lot more kids and schools now than there were in the 70s when I was a kid. It's no more unrealistic now than when we (Vidor) had to play in a 5A district in the 90s when we had the same number of kids as PNG or Nederland. We played in 4 team districts in the 70s. Simple math.
I understand where you're coming from with travel and all, but back when you and I played, only the best team (s) made it to the playoffs, and it made it so that every game in district was important.
