1.
I will take the 1 back with over 100 yards and give you more passing yards or even total yards  and we will take the "W". Total yards don't count on interception returns. There will be alot of them there yards for us. ;)
Fair enough lol ;D. I cant wait for friday, hope it is as good a game as last year.
 2.
Key on Gilbert again and Monroe will go for 161 just like Cummings did. And kick it to Gilbert and he will burn you just like last year.
But you didn't have two go over 100 (and won't this year either)  and still had less yards ;).
 3.
Good post MEM. I do think the key is to get pressure on Townley with various blitzes. BUT, scared of a quick release while blitzing. May end up as big plays. But I know Coach Barbay has figured out a scheme just like last year. We will be ok. As for our offense, it's ok to get runs of 5 and 6 yards at a time. That just chews up the clock and keeps Huffman's offense off the field. But I think there will be plenty of big runs for CS. That Franks kid for Cleveland had over 100 yards against Huffman. We will have 2 backs with over 100 yards!
Yeah Franks did get 100, but most came late in the 2nd half vs the backups. Heck he even got most of his yards on one 50+ yard play in the 4th that got them down to our 13, and they still couldn't score. Last year you didn't have 2 backs over 100, heck you had less yard than Huffman did. Yall just forced turnovers and capitalized on them.
 4.
Not ready to give a prediction yet but I'm not sure I'm buying the premise that Huffman is better than last years squad... I'm not saying they aren't but I'm just having a hard time believing that this years group of receivers and QB is better than last years...Is Townley (at this point in his high school career) really better than DeBerry as a 3yr starter?  Receivers better than last years record setting crew? I know that Gray should probably be better as he has another year of maturity and experience under his belt but he really doesn't concern me because Coldspring has handled pretty much every good RB they've faced the last couple years... The prevailing thought is that Coldspring struggles against strong passing teams, however, (in addition to Huffman) they did beat a very, very good Athens & Wimberly team last year (in the playoffs) that threw the ball really well against their other opponents only to be shut down by the Trojans...Both of those teams were also well balanced running and throwing... Carthage was the only team last year able to move the ball through the air well enough to win (Kirbyville threw with some success in the rematch in round 3 of playoffs but were unable to do enough to win-don't remember much throwing in the first matchup earlier in the year that Coldspring lost)...There were several busts & plain out bad coverage in the state title game, however, the main reason Carthage was successful throwing was because they were able to protect their QB (Morgan) and give him plenty of time to go through his reads and make his throws... Passing prowess aside Huffman's success through the air will be dictated by how well their oline holds up against the Trojans all out assault...Townley and receivers may be really good but will they have the time to complete plays?  I thought DeBerry and crew were the 3rd best team Coldspring played last year (behind Kirbyville and Carthage) and yet their pressure on DeBerry forced him to throw 3 or 4 picks at crucial times... Defensively, will Huffman be able to bottle up and frustrate Gilbert again as they did last year? Will they be able to stop Monroe if they're keying on Gilbert? Can they slow down both enough to stymie the offense? While gearing up to stop the run do they give up a couple big pass plays? Not sure they are good enough on D to do all the above things needed to pull out the win...
No imo the qb and wrs are not as good as last year. How could they be you had a 3 year starter who threw for nearly 3500 yards and two d1 wrs in Casey martin (u of h) and riley julian (vmi) plus witwer (west TX A&M) was just as good. However I think this years team overall is just as good if not better than last year, and it is because of the defense. Last year the D was the weakness, this year the D has been excellent, and while the O is not to the caliber of last year, they are still very good. Townley has the potential to be better than Deberry and wrs have  gotten better every game. Hardy is having a break out year after not seeing a lot of playing time the last two years. The thing that scares me the most about this team compared to last year is the they struggle to run the ball. People forget that last year Huffman ran for over 1900 yards and averaged 160 a game last year. This year they average about 90 a game. Last year the run game was good enough to keep the D from pinning thier ears back and going after the QB everytime. Protecting the QB will be the key if Huffman is able to do that I think they are very capable of winning this game. The biggest thing I have realized this year is the the future is very bright at Huffman. Townley is coming back as well as grey, wr/db Cole harrel and many others. Last night listing to the game when Fr. Wr Chase harrel got some playing time, the announcers were shocked that he was only a fr. They said he might have been one of the biggest kids on the field. Huffman looks to be very good in the coming years.
 5.
Were there a lot of turnovers in the game?
Cleveland might of had two. Huffman just dominated on both sides of the ball. Cleveland couldn't do anything on offence and couldn't stop anything on D.

In my opinion, not a whole lot of difference. Talking about numbers, not talent. Basically, 4a would have a wider spectrum in enrollment so it would be like 3a anyway because you still keep 5a. Just adding another class for those schools that hqve more kids than most colleges. Lol.
How is there no difference in 3a and 4a.. If you have schools with 500 to 600 enrollment competing against schools in between 1200 and 1400.. thats a difference.. But not three times their enrollment and that would happen with a 500 enrollment playing 1400 enrollments.
I know and I dont agree with doing that. You will put small schools at a huge disadvantage. I was

 8.
Definatley not Cannon Cotter from our school. He's a good kid and all.. but come on.. with a .600 percentage on PATs...
Yeah try 27-30 or 90% may not be the best but he is pretty good.
 9.
Like I said before, how soon people forget. We didn't whine or talk about "having class" when Huffman beat our JV baseball boys by 20 a few years ago, or when our Varsity Softball had 10 ran on them in the first two innings by Splendora, years ago. Now is our time in the light and yes we are enjoying it. So stop whinning about " having class" , and in a couple of Friday's take your medicine just like the rest of them. I'm glad you beat Silsbee last year and hope you do it this year (I'll be rooting for you), but don't ask us to stop enjoying our time in the spot light. Be like Tarkington take your beating with dignity and don't look for sympathy or forgiveness for years past, because we are going to rub it in. Trojans 40-7 third and 60-7 after our second string gets in.
Yet again it is not Huffman fans "whining" about having class or whatever. Personally idc what you say, just don't whine when you lose ;)
 10.
idk- First off you should be #1 on the whining site. 2nd have you read the the Huffman fans? No one from Coldsprings is saying anything until yall start posting crap. 3rd we dont need yalls support. We got there last year without it, and we might not have won but we did get there. And theres nothing wrong with having confidence on beating yall. Because we know we have the team to do that. and thats the same as what you think. Why do you come on here if you dont want to here it?
Couple of things, first idk is a shepherd fan, not a Huffman fan. Second you should go back and read the threads, because coldspring fans started the crap,by posting stuff on the Huffman vs shepherd thread. Even a coldspring fan started this thread you are posting on lol.
 11.
The real question - Does it really matters who wins this game?
It matters to the kids and coaches who work thier butts off every week.

Congrats Sherman!...It's about time Coldspring gets a little bit of coverage and pub from the Chron...
Coldspring ranked 1 in 3A Houston area pre season by the chron, only noticed this because behind Sealy and 2 other schools Liberty was ranked 5th, so I would say a first place pre season rank is pub from the Chron  ::)
I'm aware of the preseason previews....I was talking about stories or capsules of regular season games...There is usually only a score..(until playoff time)...I've seen other 22-3a game recaps, etc., but not much on Coldspring....Location is probably the biggest factor, however, if there is a team as good as Coldspring within your reader and delivery area I'd expect there to be a little more coverage....
The chronicle never really covers this area, until you make some noise in the playoffs. Then they jump on the bandwagon and call them "local" teams lol. They did it to coldspring last year and have done it to Dayton and brenham as well.
 13.
Falcons rack up points on Indians because they know that's the last points they'll see the rest of the regular season.
Hahahahaha  :D :D clever, false , but definitely clever.
 14.
Coldspring held to 0 points this week!
And the week after that too ;D.
 15. Townley and fitz from Liberty may not be the best this year, but they are both only jrs. Both should be top 5 QBs in the area next year.
 16.
The only reason BH went to four A was because after katrina a bunch of new kids came from Louisiana
And they never left? BH still has 4a numbers and its 6 years later.
 17.
I think Cleveland will win it by at least one touchdown. The both played Shepherd about the same. They are a good matchup.
Wow I never seen so many people judge teams by one game ::). How bout you look at the Splendora games too. Cleveland almost lost Huffman blew em out had over 500 total yards and held Splendora to 80, but none of that matters anyway. Huffman wins going away.
 18. Since 2002 or 2003 when coach baker got here Huffman has done very well in 3a, but before that it wasn't pretty.  We were terrible our two years in 4a, but we shouldn't be going up in the next realignment. We have 963 now that is 30 below the last cutoff, and Splendora has more than us now too.
 19.
CS also has home field advantage on this game and with the CS fan base that could be a big factor.
I think the game is in Huffman.

And no (3-4) orangefield, 3-4 madisonville, and 2a crockett would not beat Huffman. Ofield lost to two 2a teams lol. Kpark is better than coldspring and any team you have played.
Kpark is not better than coldspring...yes they are good but not even close to coldspring...I think everyone is trying to find ways to discredit cs sumhow and it doesnt matter who they play their d is better than last years and their o is just as explosive...huffman looks like a solid team but cs will still blowem out too
I think Kpark is better. They beat a very good 5a chanelview sp team that almost beat Pam the best team in the area and they beat brennham last year.
 21.
I have my facts right. 14-6 shepherd at half and 21-14 4th quarter huffman. Sure sounds like trouble to me, but then again ya are drinking out of Lake Houston (porter's sewer), lol. If i'm wrong i'll take my medicine, and fully support Huffman the rest of the year. Thanks for your motivational conversations. They are fired up now. P.S. can we use your stadium for the play-off's it sure is nice. :) :) :)
Well idk if you know but the lake is dry as heck lol its almost gone lol. And we won by 21 don't matter what the score was for the rest of the game. That game had a lot of mistakes in the first half they were corrected in the second, and Huffman dominated. Thanks for the comments Trojan92 and 8-0 8).

 23.
Do you realize both of you (Huffman) and Cleveland had trouble with Shepherd and they have not won a game. So both of you are equal in talent, one game is enough for me to see. Yes Orangefield, Crockett, and Madisonville will beat Huffman, it is a good thing you didn't play them. Cleveland has something to prove next week and I will be there to watch the first serving of crow be choked down.
Huffman beat shepherd by 21 and shepherd had negative yards in the second half and Huffman had like 450 total yards. They didn't not stuggle like Cleveland did. Get you're facts straight. As far as the D. this year is way better and its not even close lol. Yeah potter graduated but Rhodes and Williams and mena are just as good if not better. Mena average more than a sack a game and he is 6-5. Trust me the D won't be a problem. Regardless of what happens I will be here. If I'm wrong I'm man enough to take whatever you have to yhrow, just be sure you can take what I got, because a lot of the liberty fans couldn't.
 24.
Just trying to be nice and point out the obvious its going to be more like 60 just like the rest. So since i picked one game to base my opion on you pick one game CS has played that gives you any hope this game will be close let alone have a chance to win. But you will be able to cheer a little the second half when we put in the 3rd string.
None of the other games matter lol. The only game that could even possibly relate is last years game. Coldspring won't win by double digits. You will see son.
 25.
I have not seen Huffman play so I am basing my opinion on the score at half time when yall played Shepherd. If Shepherd was able to score on yall, I am taking CS by at least 40.
Yeah way to base it off one game, we can really take you seriously ::). Just keep thinking you will win by 40 and see what happens.
