so now you're hanging your season on a guy that could only start one game on a bh team that got dismantled by 50+ by dayton and you wonder why i say you have no credibility.
Nope I'm not I have already posted who will carry the load, that's right I forgot yall Liberty folk don't know how to read. I was just showing how bad your supposedly great wr and QB really where. -
Prove he transferred for Athletic reasons. Then we will talk.
well that kinda works both ways, doesn't it? Prove that he did, prove that he didn't... What does it matter really.. He transferred. BH lost a good athlete Huffman got a good athlete.. ::)
l Cause last time I checked you were innocent until proven guilty in this country. There are a lot of reasons he could of transferred no one but him and his family know the real reason. Could he of transferred for athletic reasons? Absoulty, but there are other possibilities than just that reason. -
1. Huffman isn't the same team by far. 2. A we can't do anything if the qb can't get him the ball. I guess you're calling the setx staff wrong by saying Jones is "average" smh.. haters. 3. You really just mentioned a passing camp? Sad. So a camp is a better gauge of talent than 7 on 7? They need to hire decent teachers in Huffman obviously. 4. Someone to john McCain (age reference) HD hasn't been worth ish in 70-80 years. Get a hobby. 5. If u Huffman fans wanna mention old history lets mention entire history, liberty > huffman. 6. If HD kids could start for liberty they'd move. 7. Still waiting to hear concrete evidence of y a team that lost everyone won't fall off. The name on the Jersey doesn't win games. 3weeks til the proof comes out. 8. Setx sophomore oy plus 15 lbs. Plus .2 seconds off 40 = beast. 2 Cleveland move-ins 1 Dayton. 6'4 basketball star back from injury at we as well.. yeah they'll suck..
You want concrete proof of why a team won't fall off? There is no such thing, all of this is just speculation lol. No one has concrete proof till the season starts. Now if you want my reasons why idt there will be much change in district go read some of the other threads where I have already posted them. Here is my favorite one tho in three games vs teams with winning records Jones had a total of 59 yards (rushing and receiving) fitz threw for 177 yards and neither of them scored a touchdown. In fact you don't have anyone on your team that's has scored a touchdown vs a team with a winning record. That is pretty sad. BTW no I don't judge someone's talent based off a passing camp that was the only thing I heard about him, But here are some stats. In the only game where Preston Towley was the undoubted starting QB he threw for 199 yards and 1 td. That game was in the playoffs vs a PNG team that went three rounds deep. He has more yards and tds in one game than fits has in 3 vs playoff teams.

Plus you so called star player played like scrubs when ever they played playoff teams Huffman 56-7 coldspring 56-7 wos 63-7 good job guys yall got some great players over there. :D
AGAIN! Always talking about our players and never who will carry the load for you guys out in Huffman Texas, because we all know that there is no one that can do that, Our QB may have not played well against other teams but HE PLAYED, your new QB didn't DeBerry took all of the stats and he is gone, Larsen carried the ball for you guys and he's gone, experience is a big thing in football and we have that over you, plus the statistics, all you have is last season, well sorry to tell you but this is this season and all your studs are gone and all of ours return no matter how bad they think you suck, and Jordan Jones is the best Junior in south east texas, that is what ALL SETX 2010 SOPHOMORE OF THE YEAR MEANS so we will be fine with your BUM of an opinion that he is no good.
I have already posted who would carry the load in another thread. If they didn't teach you to read at Liberty I can't help that. I agree experience does mean something, not 49 points worth, but something lol. You say you have statistics on your side ( which is wrong but we will get to that later) but then say not to talk about last season. where do you think your players stats and so called experience come from? You can have all the experience you want, but if all you got is a QB who throws more pics than tds and 1 decent wr who disappears when he plays good teams its gonna be a long season. :D :D Against teams with winning records 31 total wins 3 games Jones. Fitz Huffman. 30 total yrds 0 tds. 12-27 101 yrds 0 tds 4 pics Coldspring. 15 0 5-19 55 0 3 Wos. 14 0. 5-13 21 0 1 Now against the rest of the team with 19 total wins 8 games Jones 1050 total yrds 11 total tds Fitz 115-177 65% 1584 15 tds 8 pics Look at the drop off dosent that tell you something about your team? Neither of them even scored 1 td against a winning team :o. I think its pretty obvious that Liberty padded stats against weak team to make it seem like they had good players. Preston Towley the BH transfer threw for 199 yards and 1 td in his only playoff game. In 3 games vs playoff teams for fitz he threw for a total of 177 yards and 0 tds. -

Fitzwater 4pics Jones maybe 50 yards receiving. Score 56 to 7. Nuff said The BH QB from what I heard is pretty good he won the UT passing camp. Now do understand that BH brought in a new coach who ran that old style flex bone offense. Do you know what that is? They don't throw very much in that offense so why would they play a pocket type QB. Learn your facts before you come on here and sound stupid. Liberty gave up 37.5 points a game. It don't matter how many average players that don't do good vs winning teams you return until you fix that D.
Here we go again referring to other teams and what you guys did against other team and how we gave up points to other teams, Larsen was nowhere against Liberty and they let Gray run the ball in the 4th, ok jones and fitz didnt do much against you guys either but quit bringing in other teams and other players when it comes down to it statistically and experience wise liberty is better than huffman set aside last year, you do not have DeBerry or whitwer or martin or any of your o-line quit living in last season and let's talk about this one
Why is bringing other teams bad? It's not my fault you couldn't beat a winning team. It's not my fault your average players padded stats aginst weak teams. It's not my fault that when you played a decent team or huntington (psst you were there only win :D) you got embarrassed. These starters you got coming back are not gonna make you 49 points better. I have said it before that if you were anywhere close to us then I yeah I could see moving up, but you weren't. You got creamed by every winning team you played. Dosent that tell you something? I am talking about this season by analyzing last year. I see why that irritates you tho, cause if I was a liberty fan and looked last season I would have no hope. :D :D :D
ya'll will learn bout arguing wit huffman kids.. you can't win unless you consider them champs.. lets see what the "experts" at chron.com have to say.. High school football tour: 3A schools Key issues 1. Can a Houston-area 3A team win a state championship? Winning a state title is never easy, but answering this question is — definitely, yes. Coldspring went to the Division II final last year and returns a 2,000-yard rusher in Sherman Gilbert, who wasn’t even considered the team’s best back going into last season, and plenty of talent on defense. Then there’s Columbia, which made the Division I state semis, returns most of its defense and has the shortest road to a title tilt. 2. Will Huffman Hargrave keep scoring? The Falcons had one of the most prolific passing offenses in 3A last season, with the graduated Cole DeBerry finishing with 3,460 yards and 37 touchdowns. But considering DeBerry isn’t even one of the six Falcons who signed to play football in college, the team lost a ton of talent, so it’s unlikely they keep up last year’s pace. But if Barbers Hill transfer Preston Townley settles in at QB, they’ll still be pretty good. Top five teams 1. Coldspring 2. Sealy 3. Columbia 4. Columbus 5. Liberty Players to watch RB Sherman Gilbert, senior, Coldspring The speedy back produced nearly 2,400 total yards with 28 TDs while sharing time in the backfield last season. QB Daniel Fitzwater, junior, Liberty The 6-5 signal-caller threw for 1,761 yards and 15 TDs as a sophomore last year. OT Blake Herman, senior, Needville The towering 6-8 tackle will be suiting up for the Houston Cougars next season. DE Bradley Swanks, senior, Columbia Swanks, who placed in the shot put at state, is big, athletic and determined to dominate this season. LB/RB Kyle Appelt, senior, Columbus A prolific tackler on defense last year, Appelt should be just as prolific a runner this season. Read more: [Hidden Content] eat ya heart out.. outside of ur (4a) town nobody (with common sense) believes ya'll will be the same huffman from last year and nobody believes ya'll are better than liberty.. move on
Already been posted in a different thread. Did you read the comment about all the errors at the bottom of that article. If your gonna trust the chronicle then I guess the old saying is true you can't argue with an idiot. Why don't you head on over to maxpreps and see what ratings they give the schools in this district. I'll save you the trouble Liberty -2.3, Huffman 15.1 and coldspring 50.1. Pretty much everything has been said. Liberty returns a bunch of average players that padded stats vs weaker teams. Go check Jones and fitz stats when they played playoff teams. Liberty is very cocky for not even beatting a team with a winning record last year. This year won't be much different. As I have said before it don't matter how many starters you return from a crappy team its still gonna be the same crappy team the next year. Same story different chapter liberty has another losing season and probably dosent beat a team with a winning record. You may sneak into playoffs if Cleveland don't rebound where you lose agian by 50 to wos. And then we will start this whole thigh over next year when your "star" players are Sr. -

That way you might actually beat a team with a winning record.
I will keep this in mind falconfanatic says liberty might as well play there jv and that huffman will hang 56 on them, writing this down, you go 2 rounds with a super stud offense and secondary that ALL graduated and now your the best team in south east texas lol im giving my team credit for improvement not saying were going to come in and win the district, but apparently thats what you guys in Huffman think, now not taking anything away from you guys being that you did completely dominate Liberty last year, but to say we might as well play your jv is crazy and I won't forget this was said just like when all the WOS fans a few years ago said that West orange was not liberty texas and Chad Allen wouldn't come in a wreck on their Pittsburgh Steeler defense they thought they had, I wont forget this either. LMAO
Good I'm glad you will remember that way I won't have to remind you after the game this year. I never said we would win district idk where you got that from, coldspring is the favorite till someone beats them. I will give your team credit for improving too just not 49 points worth of improvement. ;D BTW we didn't lose all our secondary and we didn't lose all our offensive Darrian grey tied for the lead in scoring last year as a freshmen .Don't get me wrong we lost a lot but not as much as everyone seems to think . If you don't want me to bring up how Huffman embarrassed you don't come on a thread that has nothing to do with liberty and say were gonna need all the move ins we can get to beat you. -

Huntington is returning 2 more starters and experience than Liberty. Based on YOUR logic you guys will get beat similarly this year. All of those Huntington beasts that ran through you last year are back and more experienced.
If you want to go by how many starters each team is returning then Liberty returns more total than any other team in the district? Ya we don't have our 1500 yard rusher but we don't have an offense built for him either? Last year we did and it's fine having an offense built around one player as long as he is there, and he was the leader on defense, I understand people get hurt in football and you have to adjust, but we didn't, this year we return more players and have a lot more depth.
You can return 22 starters from a crappy team and it is still going to be the same crappy team the next year. Oh and shepherd returns more starters than liberty bud.

Colsprings will most likely win the district, but i expect liberty to be a close second. Huffman will be a great challenge to Liberty but i see Liberty coming on top. Liberty has too much power on the offensive side of the ball and experiance. Liberty also has hired 4 new defensive coaches. that should help not getting 50+ points against the better teams they face. cleveland has the athletes but i just dont think have the right pieces yet. no doubt it will be 1.cs 2. Lib 3. huff
I was wondering when we would get this going again. Tell me this: According to your logic you are returning key positions and many underclassmen that received valuable experience last year which should translate into a second place finish. Huntington dropped 50+ on you and they are returning more key positions and underclassmen that received valuable experience last year than Liberty. Huntington will also have 4 new coaches. Does this mean that Huntington will again whip Liberty, have its first winning record, and will make the playoffs for the first time in school history? How did Liberty's JV do against Huffman? Did Liberty have more talent there?
HaHa that's the dumbest thing I have ever heard, Liberty's star player last season missed 3 quarters of both the Hardin and Huntington game, and being that he was an inside linebacker and all Huntington did was the run the ball I'm sure he would have made a difference and the fact that he rushed for 1500 yards only going 1 round deep and missing 2 games of the season I don't see anyone on Huntington stopping him. So that's why they hung 50 this year you can drop the 5 from 50 it should be more like 0.
Well Huntinton returns almost as many starters as you including 8 to that offense that dropped 54 on you. I assume when you say star player you are talking about Edwards since he is the only one on you team who had 1500 rushing yards well he graduated and if he would of been the difference last year, who is this year cause he won't be there? -
Yeah the same team, we had no seniors? You have to take what you get from the chronicle with a grain of salt, there is even a comment at the bottom of that article that talks about all the mistakes they made in the 2a preview. Now if you go look at the maxpreps preview they have liberty listed with a power ranking of -2.3, Huffman at 15.1, and Coldspring at 50.1. That's just one site I'm sure there are more. BTW huntinton returns almost as many starters as you do including 8 on an offence that dropped 54 on libery, and that 1500 yard rusher who would of been the difference for you as you stated in another thread well he graduated. So how will you beat them this year?

Breaking News-BH QB Transfers
falcolnfanatic replied to liltex's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
Well this is the first I have heard about, but if its true it will be a good thing for Huffman. Huffman graduated a 3 year starter at QB and a SO who played safety last year was supposed the starter this year. wasn't Townley the kid who all the BH people were talking about when he came in as a FR. If I remember right I think he won some passing camp back then or something like that. -

Lib 3. huffman
Whacha been smokin? Even if the D does get better, you still hafta score to win.Liberty might get lucky and take 3rd again but Im not holdin by breath, until they get a new head coach they'll just be average.
liberty doesnt have a prob scoring.. check ur stats and get back to us
How bout you check your stats liberty averaged a whopping 7 points a game against playoff teams. -
