  5. Didn't gloat. I got hammered on here Tuesday for going with the story. EVERY news outlet does it. How many times does ESPN announce things without talking to that person himself? Or maybe they do talk directly and just say they didn't!
  6. Gabe...come on dude....Don't take it so personal. This has been circulating for weeks now. For sale sign in the front yard this week on his house should have been an indicator, right?
  7. Of course he did. Myself and James Ware reported it Tuesday. My sources were right that's why I went with the story.
  8. 1st year coach Mike Holt leaves for an assistant job in Tennessee....no Tyler Copeland though.
  9. Why are some of you wanting to start goofy crap? Ingest the fact you are getting a new coach. If he doesn't accept the position and remains @ OF, I will retract. Until then good luck with your search! Morrison is a great guy. I will continue to do my job as a member of the "active/real" media.
  10. Before you resign, you get approved for another job, which is about to happen this evening. Then you resign.
  11. James Ware will also have the story tonight during his broadcast. Confirmed as well.
  12. Take it down. You guys think I care? 2 sources confirmed, including Coldspring. If he choses not to take the job and return to Orangefield, I will retract. Until then, sources have confirmed.

  14. Zach Quinn is resigning his post as boys head basketball caoch at Class 3A WO-S and will take over at Vidor, his alma mater. Quinn has been apart of the Mustang basketball program for the last six seasons. Quinn was an assistant under Douglas McCarter for the first four seasons. In 2006, the Mustangs finished a school best 24-9 losing in the 3A state semifinals to Carrollton Ranchview. In 2007, McCarter left for 5A Katy Taylor, which gave Quinn his first chance as a head coach. In two seasons, Quinn guided the Mustangs to an overall record of 32-32 (.500) with one playoff appearance. The 'Stangs finished 22-12 this season and finished 3rd in 21-3A losing in the bi-district round to Coldspring. Quinn, who graduated from Vidor in 1997, will take over in Vidor for Lance Roberston, who resigned.

  19. UIL Interscholastic Competitions to Resume UIL interscholastic competitions may resume on Thursday May 7, the UIL announced Wednesday. Based on Texas Education Agency and Department of State Health Services recommendations that all schools across the state of Texas reopen, the UIL has relaxed its suspension of all interscholastic competitions, which were originally slated to resume May 11. “The UIL has made every attempt at rescheduling all events to promote the best possible scenario for competition,†said UIL Executive Director Dr. Charles Breithaupt. “By allowing interscholastic competitions to resume on May 7, it will provide those student-athletes an opportunity to compete in a more comparable manner to the original schedule.†Because of the magnitude and scope of the regional track meets and the academic state meet, there is no change to the tentative schedules of those events released last week.
