I was at the 1st game, St. Thomas looked good on Offense, while Kelly just couldn't seem to put anything together that was consistent. Playoffs on the line always seems to add more to the pot. Should be a good game.

Everything goes in cycles, in time they will be winning again. As far as the fans/townspeople go, you're always going to have people that cannot be pleased.

I agree. The Dc at Coldspring is the former header at Orangefield and I know for a fact that he wants a crack at WOS.

The Head Coaches at PNG, Shepherd & Orangefield have all done outstanding jobs this year. Coach Jones at Shepherd took a team that has won 3 games in the last 3 seasons and made them a legit contender for a playoff spot. Hats off to those three coaches.

No, I'm not surprised because evryone in humble knew when the school got zoned that they would take a major bite out of humble hs athletes. Alot of parents are unhappy with some of the things going on at H.I.S.D. so to see kids moving around, no doesn't surprise me at all.

Speed, speed & more speed. The offense is very vanilla, but those kids can flat out fly.

I would say that regardless how next weeks game turns out you could say that Shepherds season has been very successful. More wins this year than the last 3 seasons combined, play-off implications, etc. Coach Jones & the kids have done a great job in getting that ship turned around and going in the right direction.

I wonder what the liberty backers will have to say....should be interesting.

Shepherd 20- Liberty 6. FINAL SCORE!! Well, I guess Shepherd didn't need well wishes tonight from everyone. This really puts a twist on things doesn't it? What a turn around from last year. Congrats to the kids and Coach Jones.

Pretty sure they did that last week against Livingston. Real exciting game from what I heard, big LCM comeback at the end won it for them.

Play-offs? Don't talk to me about play-offs...Play-offs? Sorry, I just couldn't resist. On a serious note, as exciting as it may be for those kids and parents to talk about play-offs, they really have no business doing it...for now. They have to focus on each game and then after the Liberty game it will become much clearer what the actual play-off picture will be. It's been awhile since those kids at that school could even think about that sort of thing. It'll be fun to see how it all turns out.

I was lucky enough to get to coach with "Deano" at Orangefield and McNeese Football Camps, What a blast! good coach, better person. I know we all have a Robert Dean story and here's mine. Me and another coach were in the coaches office on our conference period and we had these high back swivel chairs in the office. Well Deano was napping in his chair and had it leaned back as far as it would go. The chair suddenly made this loud "pop" and the chair leaned back even further, well, Deano's eyes got big and he started windmilling both arms to try and get his balance back and I thought me and the other assistant were going to hyperventilate from laughing so hard. Deano got his balance back and let us have it for laughing. Too funny. Damn, I'm gonna miss having him around, one of a kind guy.

59-14 final. Too many athletes for the pirates to handle. The DC at Coldspring is former Orangefield Head Coach Blake Morrison. Great addition for the trojans, should pay big in the play-offs.
