It's now Vidor 34 Angleton 38. Don't see Vidor giving up 38 unless it's late in the game and they are already in the 40's.
I agree. And i do not see there defense holding our offense to 28 points. Heck i don't see there defense holding us to less than 40.
not with a 4-2-5 they won't.
Yeah thats what i'm saying. Someone said something about them dropping one of there safeties and bringing him up but that won't do no good cuz if they do that too much we'll just send a streak out the side and it'll be one on one and Montgomery saw what happened when we did that last weekend.

THE REMATCH!!!!
I have heard that if this happens.... it may take place at Rice university.... but ssshhhh don't quote me on that... and the reason is there isn't anywhere around here that could hold that many people...... but it's only a rumor... just a rumor i tell you...
whach ya thinkin? 30 thousand+ This is exactly what I was thinking, your talking about not only Nederlands and Vidors usual plus the late season fans, but then everybody in the district will want to watch this one, either side it is going to need a large seating capacity.

Definitely. I mean just think about. Its the rematch of the year and its for region championship. I'm thinking atleast 30,000 maybe more.

 4.
There were 26 teams who had made the playoffs the past 11 years... in all of the state of Texas.  The streak of winning 10 straight first round games was ABSOLUTELY one of the longest active streaks at that time.  You count 26 out of all the states football teams in all classifications, then there was a smaller group who had won 10 straight first round games.... and there you go.  I'm sorry it was hard to believe.
Okay well congrats to Ned. Your were right.
East Chambers has had 17 straight playoff births and still going. Dayton has 16. Now when you get near that then you can start talking.
he said first round wins not births
Okay but i still don't see that being one of the longest streaks in the state of Texas. Now if someone can prove it then i'll believe it.
 7.
I don't know where you get your stats but Angleton had the third best defense in the district and led the district with 35 forced turnovers on the season. Vidor better be ready to try and tackle a track team because that's what they're facing and I doubt they have 4.3-4.5 40 yard dash guys on that team.  Speed kills and Vidor is about to be flatlining!  And don't bring up Ozen,  they're only fast based on east Texas standards.
Team G Rush Pass Yds YPG El Campo 11 1312 1043 2355 214.1 Rosenberg Terry 11 1291 1209 2500 227.3 Bay City 10 1537 862 2399 239.9 Rosenberg Lamar Consolidated 11 2106 1269 3375 306.8 Freeport Brazosport 10 1846 1425 3271 327.1 Richmond Foster 10 1948 1462 3410 341.0 Angleton 12 1977 2160 4137 344.8 Idk where your getting your info but these are the stats on 23-4A. Angleton is last.
 8.

If your defense can't stop our offense....
They can.
.....but they also have the worst defense in there district.
Don't go forming opinions about our defense being less than a major threat just based upon the reasoning that Angleton sometimes  allows thier opponents to score a few points. (Bend, but don't break, as we say) Once the first string guys establish a comfy lead, the second and third string players get to play too in order to keep them prepared. Last w/e during the game against Wheatley, second and third string pretty much were in the game from about the middle of the second quarter on, and Angleton STILL put 65 points on the board. (No need to have the star players beat up this friday coming into the game if it's not necessary). That is the ONLY reason that Wheatley scored more than 12 points. Looks can be deceiving, especially when you don't have all the facts. Don't get it twisted...These aren't the Wildcats of yesteryear. This is a TOTALLY overhauled team with a new coach who does things much differently from the previous one. They are undefeated this year for only the THIRD time in the schools history. Last time was 1981, and before that 1958. GO CATS, GO!!!  GO CATS, GO!!! GO CATS, GO!!! (just something you will be hearing from across the field a lot friday night!) ;) Good luck to all!
Your kidding right? Less than a major threat? Your defense is last in your division man. You give up 344 yards per game. Our 7th place team (Central) gave up less than yall. And you can go ahead and say all you want about putting in second string or third string. In fact you can go ahead and put em in with us. BTW we just got through beating a team that is averaging about as much as your offense in Montgomery.  We will see how good your offense is when they face a real defense.
 9. Offense wins games but defense wins championships and IMO this is a championship game. Its a do or die situation for both teams. Win and play more. Lose and go home. Yes Angleton has one of the best offenses we have seen but they also have the worst defense in there district. On the other hand we have an offense that hasn't produced as good as numbers as they have but we have yet to be stopped in the playoffs and our defense has won most of our games. They stopped a very good pair of twins at Crosby and until we let up a lil but we were holding a Montgomery team that averaged 41 points a game to 14. I'll take Vidor by 14+ Vidor - 56 Angleton - 42

 12.
Actually, the times that Nederland was bounced in the first round were the anomaly Bamakid.  For over a decade, Nederland took deep playoff runs, winning first round playoff games for what at that time was one of the states longest active streaks at 11.
One of the states longest streaks. Now that's stretching it a bit.

Bottom line....Good Luck Ozen!  You can beat La Marque...NO DOUBT!
You must be sniffing those highlighters again. LOL  ::) Just because your Cubs got beat fair and square doesnt mean Ozen will breeze past The La marque Cougars. Brenham is a very good team but also very overrated. La marque would have pulled off the win against them regardless. You can deny it all you want, but i guess we'll never know.  :P La marque vs Ozen will be an interesting game though, thats for sure. They have a great QB... But I doubt they will knock of this stellar team, JMO. If anyone can knock off La marque it will be Manvel.. Goodluck though, we all know anything can happen in the playoffs.
No man, I have not been sniffing any hi-lighters, glue, or anything of the such.  If you noticed from my other posts you would have saw that I gave full props to Ozen for taking care of their business yesterday.  I also pointed out that all of the attention brought to our program because of all the raw talent was not managed properly.  Overrated? They might have very well been.  When I said that Ozen could beat La Marque was not a shot at the La Marque program at all.  Myself, and everyone that follows high school ball has much respect for La Marque's program.  I was simply saying that Ozen is a legit team, with good coaching, and good players that have gotten it done.  La Marque probably SHOULD win on Saturday, but remember that Brenham was SUPPOSED to win yesterday.  You will not see me cracking on anyone from La Marque, Ozen, or Manvel.  Good luck to La Marque and Ozen this week.
Lol Don't take it personal man. I'm just saying La marque has the advantage in almost every category, Unlike brenham that got beat twice with the big pass.No team thus far as piled up more that 100+ yards on our Defense. And as far as passing against us.... I believe we've caught about 5 picks in the past 2 to 3 weeks of play. So yeah... But nothing person my man, all senseless chatter... until game day.  ;D
Rosenburg Terry - 236 yards, Manvel - 448 yards, Friendswood - 243 yards, Pearland Dawon - 276 yards, Rosenburg Terry in playoffs - 259 yards Pretty sure all those games are more than 100 yards. Just saying.  ;D

I dont know how many tackles he had but he was all over the field against Stratford.
Montana Quirante 6+ tackles, 2 for sacs and a pic 6. And all that while rushing for 29 yards and passing for 102 at QB.
