  1. Wish Kirbyville all the best and bring home a state title to SETX. I wonder now if it is going to be double elimination or still pool play? I know Evadale is in the tourney as well.
  2. Thanks Diesel...Do they have anyone that just stands out or do they have a couple that make them go?
  3. High Island is...We play Burkeville and Deweyville on Friday
  4. What is Milburn like? We play them on Tuesday and am just trying to get a little info on them. Any kind of info would be greatly appreciated.
  5. Boys Prep of Houston 47 High Island 41 High Island finished 2nd to boys Prep in the winner take all final. High Island beat Prep the first day by 10. Prep is a very athletic team that goes 4 to 5 deep on the bench. HI just turned the ball over to much, which will be corrected in practice this week.

  7. anyone know it?
  8. High Island won 62-50. High Island was up by 12 to start the 3rd and let the slip, but came back in the 4th and put the game away.
  9. High Island 62 Baytown Christian 50
  10. High Island 57 Colmesneil 40
  11. His first name is Brian not Matt. For the Celts being your team I thought you would have know that. ( lol) Then again hell he never sees the floor.
  12. In 95 East Chambers vs Sheperd..LB from EC, Waylon Strain, almost killed the RB from Sheperd. It was a draw and Waylon read it instantly and hit the kid so hard a shoe and his helmet flew off. Last year playing HD receiver runs a deep post and the safety from High Island, Tiner George, knocks the WR out like a light. The kid was out before he hit the ground.
  13. I played against Hemphill when some of the beasts were there. They were huge. Chris Reed was a waste. Probably the best pure athlete that size to ever come out of setx. I saw him win the 100 meter dash at the Barbers Hill track meet when I was a freshman in high school.
  14. These kids showed what the heart of a champion really looks like. Though our dream did not come true of making the playoffs, it did paint a picture as to what a group of great young men can accomplish when staring adversity in the face. Like Coach Colton said these Young Men never asked for pitty or sincerity from anyone because of what had happened. They went out and gave it there all and beat adversity back. This is the funnest season I have had as a coach in my short 5 year career. These kids have taught me what it really means to give it your all. For a group as a whole, would not trade them for anything in this world. To the seniors, Tiner, Trey, Colt, Donald, Joey, and Jarith, you guys have no reason to hang your head. You guys were the heart and soul of this team. We could not have asked for better leaders this season. We will miss you dearly next year and hope that you will come watch us carry on the tradition that ya'll helped to usher in. We will make ya'll proud next year and get into the playoffs. Thank You guys, all of you on the team, and all of the other coaches for making this a memorable season. I will treasure it for as long as I live. Coach Charrier
  15. Good Luck Evadale..We will be pulling for ya'll. Show them that this district knows how to play some football.

  17. Shead is a beast. I was reading about him as a freshman. Kid is going to make some D1 coach a happy man.
  18. This was a good game. EC made the stops when they had to and scored when they needed to. Glad to hear the good news about J.T. and wish the Bucs well during the playoffs.
  19. That is a great post Rebel..Take it from a coach..By the way good luck next week with Normangee, We'll be rootin' for ya'll.
  20. Started for 2 years at center and loved every minute of it.
  21. Our district is in Region 4 now and I believe that Big Sandy is in Region 3. Our district could see BS at the drum, if they were to make it there.
  22. Heart felt prayers from High Island.
  23. We wish Evadale the best in the Playoffs, but they are right region 3 is loaded. Whomever wins this region should just be given the state championship.
  24. If they don't get 40 wins out of this schedule then it will be a terrible season.
